A Christmas Wish

Embedded image from another site

It's Christmas time once again
and if you only knew,
that my Christmas wish
is to spend the time with you.

Making out my Christmas list
placing it under the tree,
wishing for you is all I want
to be a Christmas gift for me.

The lights don't shine as bright
I turn into the Scrooge,
needing you on this silent night
to snuggle in the softest candle light!

Andromeda

Embedded image from another site

I follow the road and sky
as i mourn and contemplate
this senseless planet of regret
with drought, tsunami and typhoons...

It is said the gods gave us fire
Prometheus molded us from clay
I gaze upward and see the heavens
the seven sisters and Andromeda...

Perhaps they watch us from Andromeda
they see us hurrying about like insects
shadows of ourselves we see in mirrors
we wish to embrace but fail to approach...

I wish to be with the one my heart loves
she shines like diamonds to the stars
she shimmers and radiates like gold
lovely and useful like diamonds to the Anromedans...

Maybe in Andromeda they know not
what to do with themselves like us
like us they sleep when they die
and love is birth and waking...

I follow the winding road and sky
past the casino and rain on the street
It's cold and lonesome behind these eyes
not the face I wished to become...

We may find our kind in Andromeda
I will be the man not to hurt you
awakening childhood dreams in full blossom
instead of being human in an inhumane world...

Opiate Dream

Embedded image from another site

There is a thirst
of many days
restrained in our body,
chained words on lips of dreams...

I think of her
the smell of oak essence,
memories of magnolia,
the salty wind of the sea returns...

She says she will be here
in just a few days,
her presence floats for a moment,
I wrap my whole being anxiously!

At that moment of full sensation,
my hands are sunk in grapes,
and my body feels surrounded
by her loving arms...

Inside of you...

Embedded image from another site

With every kiss
your lips become
more enticing
your bones
become more lovely...

You are my mirror
reflecting the beauty
all of the colors
of the rainbow
glisten in your eyes...

You summon ecstasy
I see so much of you
that no one else can
when your head is on my chest
our hearts beat as one...

Then out of the blue
I realize I love
every bit of you
with all of me
inside of you, you inside of me...

Union

Embedded image from another site

She came today
as I closed my eyes
and filled my face
into the curve of her shoulder...

I have decided
I want morning
and noon
as well as night with her...

I want her kisses
her coy smile
the smell of her hair
and her breath upon my cheek...

She erases the pain
a new day is born
the lovely union with her
lasting forever and a day...

The Ghost of You

Embedded image from another site

Perhaps the prophet
was right
love knows not
its own depth
until the moment of separation...

two souls made
to feel as though they are joined
when they are apart
what remains
is the ghost within...

The ghost of you
my body is filled
with you for days and days
you are the mirror of my night
until always and forever...

All of you my love
you in a space full of sounds
in the shade and in the light
I number the days
you are the combination of all numbers...

When we make love
everything is surrounded
by the green miracle landscape
of your body, the manner of all fruits
in the juice of your lips...

From you to my hands
I live to caress your entire body
my love, your absence springs a trembling
in the ticking of the clock
in pulse of morning light

You breathe in the mirror
you have left
the taste of almonds on my lips
our world never goes outside
only a mountain can know the core of another mountain...

Oblivion

Embedded image from another site

The truth is
so great
I don't even wish
to talk

or sleep
listen
or even love...

Today I feel
trapped
with no fear of reprisal,

outside time and magic
all I wish for
is to feel

the beating of your heart
through this madness
I wish this of you...

Today I am lost
in the oblivion of your memory
it has been five days since we've loved..

Heart and Mind..

Embedded image from another site

Often we
follow promptings
from a bleeding heart
and less to complaints from mind...

We require both kinds
the heart to love
brain to understand it
to avoid broken heart confused mind...

They sometimes disagree
heart says love even though
the mind objects rationally
which one do you follow?

We could ignore the signs
answers sometimes seem unkind
but we can never ignore
the duality of heart and mind...

Wild Flowers

Embedded image from another site

After four days
you returned
with perfume
and sweet kisses
of nectar...

Making love
under falling sky
winter rainbow...

We lay
limbs entwined...

Sweet love
lilac lady...

We didn't know
we had become
two rooted
wild flowers
with ripened seeds

until
we tried
to move...

Den of the she-wolf

Embedded image from another site

Perhaps we have loved before
in the Lupanar of Pompei
a goddess of Priapus
the overseer
of the fertile garden
commanded me...

We perspired on pillows
stuffed with reeds
feathers and straw
most unwitting lady
whispered to me
"you will be Priapus!"

Content within you
likeness of dedicated fruit
making love into real fruit
worn sensual lascivious acts
woman of well-born grapes
dark lady enraged with lust...

Stars may set and rise again
But the light within us has set
the night becoming one long dream
I wish for another thousand kisses
from you dark skinned goddess of Priapus
from where Romulus and Remus suckled
the milk from a wolf...

Morning acrostic

Embedded image from another site

M.oving from my sleep
O.nly echoes of the night remain
R.eturning from visions of you
N.ever believing I would meet someone like you
I.awake with delight
N.ot alone anymore cos I have you
G.ood morning my love...

This morning
the breeze
awakens the earth

Birds sing cheerfully
to the earth

This is the time
to wish my love

a good morning...

Raincheck

Embedded image from another site

My phone sounds
a text
"how about a rain check?"
she sends...

"Sure, of course."
I respond...

Rain is falling down
on the sidewalk
I won't go inside...

Clouds hover above me
tonight I am alone...
