West towards New Orleans

Embedded image from another site

Dusk arrives the illusion
the sun not yet seen
above or below the horizon
day and night still linked
such as you and I
one cannot exist without the other..

West off towards New Orleans
the sky an orange-red hue
the sun will later set
no candle on earth can replace it
orange-red to pink, mango smoothie in the sky
I cannot give you the sunset
but I can offer you the night...

Let us walk into the sunset
hear the sunset
the vanity of it's words
I cannot love the sunset without you
the pastel colors have no meaning
listen to the sunset
when you see it think of me
because I will be thinking of you...

Woman Dark

Embedded image from another site

Naked woman, woman dark
clothed in your color
with your form of beauty
lost in this forest of love
I am the furtive hunter
through sleeping dense foliage
I seek you
as one seeks a fulgent bird...

Now on this sun baked pass
at the height of summer and noon
I ramble through the thicket
bringing back to my solitude
the most fulgent plumage
the purple plumage of your dazzle
and your beauty strikes me to the heart
like the flash of an eagle...

Silly Love Poem

Embedded image from another site

Will you still love me
when I grow old
and I fart when I pee
will I be yours to keep
if I snore loud in my sleep...

I will still love you
even when you rave and rant
when you move slow like a snail
cough and pee your pants...

Even if you pass gas when you walk
sometimes forget my name
when you sleep and talk
I'll love you just the same
if you forget to wear makeup
it won't be a sin
cos true love comes from within...

If all this doesn't bother you
it will never bother me
we're two pieces out of place
but fit perfectly...

Cos I will still want you
when our bellies are round
and our hair turns gray
and your butt hits the ground..

Make room darling
I'm coming for you
this is just the beginning
of true love through and through...

Love Potion Recipe

Embedded image from another site

I have tried
casting a spell on you
I don't know
what else a mere mortal can do...

Love potion
boil and bubble
poison darts
toil and trouble...

Red laced apples
caffeinated coffee
non-caffeinated
pinch of rosemary
9 oz sweet red wine
1 ginseng root...

Goddess of love
hear my plea
let her fall in love
and so desire me...

My love philtre
will enchant her
it will pomp her
my love potion...

9 red rose petals
3 almonds
9 clovers
9 drops of vanilla extract..

My true love
her face I not yet see
come my love
so it shall be..

Eye of newt
stew and brew
9 basil leaves
count to seven
all good children
go to heaven..

The cow
jumps over the moon...

My love potion
boil and bubble
"poof!"
takes away all
my troubles!

Rain Storm

Embedded image from another site

New love calls
telephone rings
outside it pours
love like poetry
rains on my soul...

She is the storm
I move towards her
to feel the essence..

Warm and protected
come my love
kiss me with rain
on my eyelashes...

Do you feel my love
pouring down on you
falling like rain?

It may be moist at first
caressing your cheeks
suspending in your black hair...

Then it begins to pour
starting to dampen
your hair and shoulders...

Your face and neck
becomes so wet
storm clouds gathering...

Streams are trickling
slowly down your chest
forming pools between your breasts...

Thunder then lightning
making you
truly wet...

Kissing the wetness
I ask you
will you be my lover?

Nihilistic Love Poem

Embedded image from another site

Are we like candles
flames are our dreams
like the sound of a lit match
dipped in water
perhaps that is love...

Diseased with love
disconsolate with shades of bile
the dream of death in daylight
shoveling to survive
I said, "I love you"
you said, "I love you too"
it was nausea
then we wandered into different rooms..

You were the pale blue sky
milking the moonless night
I was the crow virus
fettered by rain...

Pure genetic providence
intellectual procedure
amalgamation of predisposed chromosomes
thrown into existence
with the ambiguity of Kierkegaard...

Some call it happily ever after...

One minute before midnight

Embedded image from another site

Your hair is black
as the wing of a raven
mysterious dark woman
there is something even more black
your eyes!

Two clever magicians
sleeping sphinxes
two beautiful enigmas
ah, but I see something even more lovely,
your mouth!

yes, your mouth
that God made so divinely
my midnight lover
under cover of darkness
I desire something else from you,
your heart!

To feel your heart beat
against my chest
ah, would be like playing God
tenderness so deep
but you bring something else,
a dream!

She so crazy

Embedded image from another site

She says,
I love you
I hate you
I like you
no, I hate you...

You're so stupid
a loser
but you're wonderful
I want you...

I could never date you
I hate you
no, I love you
I don't want you...

See, I said to her
that's what makes us so great,
I'm crazy
you're crazy

together we make
our own brand of crazy!

Dien Bien Phu

Embedded image from another site

Lessons learned
by first the Chinese
then France
and the Unites States...

Never underestimate
unconventional units
or guerrilla warfare
supported by regular units...

Dien Bien Phu
Bernard B. Fall
called it
"Hell in a very small place"
soon after 1954
America walked the "Street without joy"

The Viet Minh
attacking satellite positions
seven in all
such names as

"Huguette"
"Claudine"
"Gabrielle"
"Beatrice"

General Giap
former school teacher
later besieged Khe Sanh
saved only by B-52 air strikes...

What men will die for
makes less sense
as time goes by...

Perhaps it is
the unspoken honor
among comrades
and brothers...

Still they soldiered on
60 years has passed
and around the world
the madness has grown...

Fields of Poppy

Embedded image from another site

For me her dark skin
is a hymn to the night
no such evening
could ever produce
such a sweeter tone
a lovely seduction of light...

A divine pleasure
like a wintry fireside
I burn candles with her
at four O'clock
with shutters closed
curtains flowing to the floor..

When we love
the wind and rain
rage audibly about
her touch and opium kisses
bring the calm of a dove
her mauve lips of grapes...

Losing myself in her ebony eyes
who would strip a rainbow
of it's color
or remove the silver lining
from a cloud?

Should i deny myself
of her lovely flower
just because it is a different color?
she brings a haunting melody in the wind
my labyrinth of desire
laying in fields of poppy...

My New Neighbor

Embedded image from another site

My new neighbor
a lovely ebony girl
we go together
like day and night
a beautiful swirl...

She just wants a good man
no matter his past
or how many girls he's screwed
a handsome romantic man...

Do they all know we are together?
them against us
do they realize
we copulate in our dreams at night?

You curled up around me
like a chocolate ribbon
we become omnipresent
ears closed to the world..

We are much like
yin and yang
in guise of darkness
leashed at our sides...

Your brown sugar broth
rich dark and warm
skin black as the night sky
into my room smooth and sultry
scented of amber love potions
exotic fruit from Africa
perfected in America
step into my wildest desires...
