A person walks into the casino with $100. They are hoping to walk out ahead. $50 gone now, they now establish that they want to at least walk out with a $20 bill. When all is said and done, they walk out with zero.Self control-, if you do not do it for yourself, nobody else will be able to do it for you.
...however, I have seen through the years were people are unable to control their own impulses.
Would you want to be in a close relationship with a person like that.
I would be a little leery. ...especially if you are thinking you are in an exclusive relationship.

I have in the past known men that took me to casinos, which was interesting. Most I did not see again, as their real personalities were shining through bright and clear...
For me, I don't mind gambling if treated more as entertainment....going with what can afford you can lose (not that people should spend all their extra money there)...and having no real anticipations of winning.
The bottom line, casinos are very intelligently designed and set up where over the long run, a person will never win......
....only in very rare cases do I believe people will win over the long run. One of those cases is if you win a huge jackpot...like a half million or more...and those are very rare to win.
I have heard people, several times, who have lost everything they have ever had.
One case I heard, a couple retires and is now receiving social security. They managed to save up $300,000 over their lifetime and they lost every penny of it in the casino...now living solely on their social security.

I have too heard of people loosing everything, because they didn't know how to stop. Common Sense was either never there, or the wish for more was stronger.
I firmly do not believe all women are opportunistic. I know for a fact there are some beautiful women....inside and out that exist in this world.
This is all about becoming a smarter picker when allowing people in your life.
I believe "Love" is a 2 way street,
with the same amount of cars,
going up and down the road,
with the same amount of people,
with different type and colour cars,
and people who are all themselves,
thus all different...
Both parties,
Must put in a 100%,
Any less,
and it's a disaster...
Any deviance,
then they find Love Elsewhere...
I don't think so.
It's not only about self control. A person who can't think of better things to do with their money and depends on luck is not my kind of guy.
I'd rather invest or do something worthy than let a machine gulp down the money and tell me to try again.

Just noticed your blog. I’ll have to read it later. Right now, I’m on my way to the casino, then to the liquor store, then to the pharmacy to refill 35 prescriptions, then to the CBD smoke shop, then to the massage parlor. Then tomorrow, I’ve got a bunch of other habits and hobbies I’m hooked on.

Some people are more sensitive than others.
I might think I have had a hard life but in reality, I have had a peachy life in another's eyes.
But, I will say....being single is not a bad thing.
But, I will say....being with a wonderful person is not bad either.

Hope you get real better soon. Yes I too have to keep to the grindstone, even on leave now. I have had a hard life, but time really heals, just takes a long time. I have been single forever too.
