A New Problem

I’m off to hospital shortly for my monthly check up. A clean bill of health today will reduce these checks to once every six months in stead of once every month as it is now!

I’ll be gone for a few hours, so I decided to leave you with a little puzzle while I’m gone. If nobody gets it I’ll give you the answer when I’m back.

So read carefully.

The Problem
A tiny male baby baboon is sitting in a dried out tree on a smallish island about 200 metres from the mainland. Around him rages a bush fire and before long the tree will catch fire too.

The mother baboon is 250 metres away on the main land, being chased around by a bunch of alligators when she gets even close to the beach and cannot help her baby in any way.

The sea all around the island is infested with sharks, waiting for their next meal.

Additional (dis)Information
How the baby baboon got there in the first place is not relevant to the answer. The A-Team or any of the likes is not around to help either.

The Question
What can the baby baboon do to get back to back his to mother?

catfoot if he doesnt escape the fire by pushing the log in the water and using it to escape let me know ,as i believe roast baboon is rather delicious

Cat, when James Bond was in a similar situation he threw a bucket of dead chickens into the water, waited till the gators were all lined up to eat the chickens & ran over the top of them, but then our poor baby baboon doesn't a crew of 300 making sure all goes well I suppose

Ok guys, I'm back. No results until next week, but the doctor seems happy.

The problem? Oh let it ride bor a bit longer. Sorry, no logs around, but even with a log it would be hazardous with sharks around. They are capable of capsizing canoes and surfboards. Even the alligators are too scared to go into the water.

Now I'm going to make something to eat. I had to report with an empty stomach.

I am very disappointed with you guys. Due to your inability to improvise, this little baboon will die.

The mother will mourn the loss of her child for months (they do).

If a troop of grown up baboons on the World Wide Web, some with college and university training cannot solve this problem, how on this earth can you possibly expect a poor baby baboon to do it?

no problem with the calling

just trow the baby baboon to the water, so crocks and and sharks cans start the fight... and little one can learn to swim

if not... he will be a nice meal..
