Abbreviations.
Reading blogs here on CS reminds me of reading a Frederick Forsyth novel. Although he was a great story teller, he had the knack to bore me at times, causing me to skip a few pages from time to time. But his plots were so good; you had to see the end out.So what was it that bored me? It was his elaborate use of abbreviations and acronyms when explaining inner workings and hierarchy of government agencies like the CIA, the FBI, the KGB, the Mossad and what all. All riddled with abbreviations for the various departments and their heads. And repeated word by word in every book.
Maybe I’m exaggerating a bit now, but in every third or fourth blog (or comment) that I read there is an abbreviation. And I never know what it means. Oh, I get the gist of the story, but I always wonder what it stands for and I feel too silly to ask every time.
So far I have only mastered one of them for it speaks for itself.
So WTF do all the others mean?
For a change we have a sunny day with almost no wind. If the wind holds, I'll be getting the crew together. This is a day to go to sea. The fish are waiting for us.
Enjoy this lovely Wednesday.

Did you enjoy your walk? Soon it will become difficult. Thanks for the nice afterthought!
And no need to thank me Wel, It is a free service I render in the interest of a better mutual understanding!
You're doing much better than I in this!
All said and well, I still don't know what is BTW. Breakfast this Wednesday is not all too convincing; especially in view of where it came from!
Oh, BTW and FYI: IMO people cannot spell or are to lazy to type, but WTF! It is JMO.
Just as well I did not express my guess on it. In my definition I would have made a big OP out of myself. Right here and in front of everybody.
do we know at least one word strarting with F which does not carry that profound sense?
And he said: "While johnny was dealing his whole hand fell off and ILMAO"
And exactly who are the Dinosaurs?
I am very careful when I go to sea; for when you lose your respect for the sea it will kill you. Pronto!
here is another one. What is bry?
I know what you mean; it's like the domino effect.
Your input was appreciated as always.
CS blogs will never seize to amaze me. I had a completely different blog prepared for today, but this morning, because I hoped to go fishing, I dished up this one in 10 minutes flat; not wanting to abandon a 'well prepared' blog. I cannot help wondering if my original (copied and pasted) blog would have been so well received.
OMG! WTF... TWIS! MH!- WFW... NOH..(jmo)
Hi all (hak... )
Now you have me all confused again. Just when I thought it was safe out in the open.
OMG! TWIS! MH! NOH.. What are the all?
Quite so, but I have learned to take it in my stride. I just battle to keep up. The world has changed a lot in the last 50 years. If I listen to how my grandson talks to my daughter I can only walk out to water the garden!
I don't know if you will get this tomorrow, but if you do, Google the first six words of the rhyme I gave you. You'd be surprised with the results!
Hell, what a comprehensive list!
It will take some reading.
Thanks man!
In a more serious tone I would like to extend my most sincere condolences to you regarding the looming demise of your team this coming weekend during the annual shark-slaughter derby.
Kidding! May the best team win. This year we have undoubtedly the best two teams fighting for the crown!
PS
I won't cry too much if the Sharks win; I was born out that way, but that was when Natal was still the last outpost of the British Empire.
