A Complete Circle
Life makes a complete circle and in most cases, several of them; almost like a wheel. The closer you are to the center of the wheel the smoother is your ride.
However, you cannot win if you do not dare. When you live near the rim of the wheel, life is more interesting. Your ups will be more exciting and your downs more spectacular. When on top, the view will be great but when you go down, you will be dragged through the dust. And when it rains, it will be mud.
On your journey through life, you will overtake some people and some will overtake you. While coming down, you will seldom have much control. It is much like parachuting. You can pull a few strings here and there to choose the best landing spot but down you will go. Some people have the knack to run to the center of the wheel when it starts going down. Others try to stay on top by running on the rim; like a monkey riding a barrel. While it works, it is fine but when you lose your footing, down you go.
Going up is trickier. You have to be careful whom you walk over on your way up for those very people may overtake you again. What goes up, must come down… eventually. A helping hand to somebody going down may (or may not) be remembered later but a kick in the face will certainly not be forgotten.
And when you’re down, get up quickly. Life will not wait for you. Afterwards the people will not remember you for how far you fell. The circumstances that led to your fall will soon be forgotten. You will be remembered for how fast you got up again.

I think 'the complete circle' is applicable to all walks of life. Short term as well as in the long run.
Maybe I should agree with you that life is like a wheel..
When I was down, whatever happened to me, I tried to face it with courage, I kept in mind that more people out there worse than what I was facing. then the courage in facing and solving all problems, has shaped me to be a patient person.
When I was on top, I keep in mind that I am not the only one, still I remember that there is a highest sky above the higher sky. and it keep me down to earth. the higher our level in society or work, the more modest we should be.
But we are just human being, not perfect... when unexpected temptation coming and it could turn us become a devil.

To explain hat one has to have a better understanding of meteorology than what I possess. All I know about such stuff is what I see on TV and they are often wrong. Maybe we should Google it; the internet knows everything.

It is a difficult life. When you are on top there will always be those to plot your downfall and when you're down there will always be those to pull you back when you start climbing. But then nobody said life would be easy.
I think this needs special investigation. We aught to set up a committee to look into it.

Just look closely when you see one. Some have scorched wings and although their collective name may sound like a motorbike-riding species they are not quite the same thing.
