A cute memory

My grandivas are in their mid to late twenties now. One of my cutest memories from when they were in elementary school is about the time texting began. The girls got phones and I got a text at work from the oldest one. I texted back and for a few text we enjoyed each other. Then it occured to me she turned me into the little girl I once was passing notes in elemetary school. Neither of us was supposed to be texting from school or work but there we were both being kids.

Now she is a flight attendant, today in Amerstdam posting photos on FB showing how happy she is. Yesterday she face timed me while she was doing her make up. She was cute as hell when the phone call started but then as she piled crap (makeup) on her face, did her cheeks, eyebrows, lashes, then fixed her hair all while face timeing she ended up looking like she belonged on a magazine that would give every man a boner. She always let me know how she was having fun being single but now she has a boyfriend for two months.

My first question was "good sex?" and she said yes. Funny question from a grandma but tough if anyone has a problem with that.

The downfall of America's dad

I have mixed feelings when I read about the verdict of Bill Cosby last night. First off he is very old, second he truly symbolized the most ideal father like persona each of us had come to admire and emulate during the early 80s and on.

But in reality, I can't ever fathom what he has done and how he did it. Most evil act of manipulating and abusing his victims.

I mean, was he all that good on projecting the kind of a person as a dad and as a husband on his show just to please us for money?

I am so sad for his victims and yes, he deserves to pay the price and even that is not enough.

What a cruel world.

Want to be a child again

I often think, I wish to become a child again... angel

Kids are so innocent with very clear heart, how beautiful it is.. always want to make new friends also retain old ones.. they keeps a very big heart to forgive someone who hurt them by any means..

Their heart always fill with love.. can't see someone crying.. they don't want to hurt someone by any mean.

They always speak the truth, and don't understand how could people cheat others...

They want to share all their stuff without getting benefits from other site...

If someone really want to see angles on earth, spend time with kids, they will teach many forgotten lesson to us.

It´s easier to say "Yes"

It´s easier to say "yes" and most of the times we say "yes" because we don´t want to hurt someone´s feelings.
the problem with saying "yes" to everyone may have already left you trapped with almost no time to yourself. You may have said "yes" to helping your friend to fix his car, "yes" to helping your boss manage a new project, "yes" to helping your significant other paint his apartment, "yes" to take your wife to the hair stylist, etc etc. How can we avoid this sensation of feeling bad when we say "no"? How can they understand that we can´t please everyone?

Wow! I'm Excited!!

I love my Grandkids, but unfortunately 2 of them live quite a ways so I can only see them maybe twice a year.

So, that brings me to the close by Grandchild, Leo. Leo was born almost 2 years ago and he's quite a little dude. His relationship with his parents is so beautiful and healthy. They adore each other.

So, yesterday when I went to go see Leo his Dad, my wonderful son, tells me I am going to be a Grand Dad again!! Seems like it's going to be a little girl. I am so happy. My life is so great! And I give the Almighty God all praise, credit, honor and glory, Amen & Amen!!

RAMADAN KAREEM!

To all friends and members here who celebrate and respect Ramadanbouquet

My son didn't come home to me last night because his dad and step mom took him out shopping for Ramadan. He was very excited and I;m so happy about it. I do celebrate Ramadan and Eid as much as I can, it feels good to reflect and do some self renewal, spend more time with loved ones and be more kind to less fortunate people...should be everyday but we all tend to get busy in life and forget other far more important things.

I love Ramadan and Eid here, it's a great time for love and giving and spending more time with family. Will prepare "Iftar" and share them with friends who are coming over for a Bible study later...best part is I have a long weekend away from work so plenty of time to clean up and to sleep and sleep as much as I can till I get busy again.

Have a weekend everyonebouquet

Today was her arraignment

I hope she got what she needed. I hope it went the way she wanted. I don't know. I just know that I was messaged by an old friend of mine who told me that she moved on in the most horrible fashion possible and that I may as well say goodbye to my old life as I ever knew it because nothing of mine is left. Well, I guess. That's what she set out for. She destroyed me physically. Then emotionally. Now spiritually I am dead inside.

I do hope everyone in this world can learn to get along and if they can't, to at least be civil with each other and separate peacefully. Today I give up. May peace and blessings be upon you all. And may God have mercy on me for giving up trying to stand on my own. The words said to me this morning an hour before her arraignment was supposed to be taking place ripped the very soul of my being out and destroyed me. I wish I could have stayed and been beaten until I took my last breath because what I was told this morning was worse than any death that could have been inflicted upon me. Goodbye turtledove. May you be blessed to have such a wonderful soul and learn before it hurts more people. I am gone.blues

Oldest Egyptian God

"Tis true without error, certain & most true." [A partial (one of the verses) translation of the Emerald Tablet, found in the personal papers of Issac Newton after his death.]

This may or may not relate to ancient Sumerian texts and the DNA of Homo Sapiens.

Probably the oldest Egyptian god was a female named Neith. Mention of her is found in the writings of the Old Kingdom and the Lower Valley before the unification. Neith was a female. She is a god of many things. Hunting, war and the flood. Before Neith there were no others.

She was androgynous and she birthed her son Ra, Apep and Sobek in the time when there were no births and no males. The symbol of her name is two back to back bows with a shield between them and crossed arrows. When the Greeks came and Egypt was Hellenistic, this symbol was also seen as a loom and she was known to be the weaver of all things.

To the Greeks she later became known as Athena. To the Minoans she became the Earth Goddess, Gaia. She is also sometimes perceived and portrayed as a cow goddess with a line of stars across her back, similar to Io, the mistress of Zeus. She was sometimes known as the sky goddess and the originator of life.

As a goddess of War, she was also associated with death and protecting the bodies and souls of the dead. Her image graces the jar that holds the abdominal contents of Tutankhamen. She is also known as the virgin mother goddess. It is not inaccurate to say she held many roles and many things flowed from the tales of her.

In the time of the first war against the enemies of creation Neith rescued Mehet (who later became her regent, but not a mate for she had none) and used the flood to drown the enemies of life. Meith's willingness to kill the enemies of life and her skill with the bow and arrow also earned her the nickname of 'the terrifying one.' <It must be noted that in the set aside Hebrew 'Book of Jubilee' the purpose of the flood was as a weapon to kill off the Watchers, Angels who had transgressed against God's instructions. Further noted the One God was known in Egypt as Atun, but the Ancient Sumerians called the leader of the gods (small g) who had forbidden making their Man creation fertile Anu and a great war ensued when Anu's instructions were not followed.>

Neith was also viewed as the keeper of records and history of the gods. When the Greek Plato wrote in his Critiasof the travels of Solon, Plato reported that in the Temple of Neith in the City of Sais, Egypt were written tablets containing records and secrets which went back at least 9,000 years (back then).

With the coming of the Middle Kingdom of Egypt the temple of Neith fell into disuse and it's actual location is now long forgotten. I know of no archaeological efforts to find that temple and any remnants of the tablets that may lay in or under it's ruins.

Alas poor Neith. I toast thee for you may have indeed been the first Eve and the mother of all of us. wine

Coming to you LIVE from...

It's been a few years since I visited my brother in Dayton, Ohio.
The last time was for the funeral of his wife, about 4 years ago.
I was running out of excuses and got on a plane and made the trip. I got to see nieces, nephews and their kids. Today it was happy times for all of us.
We left hot humid weather in South Florida and the first day here was highs in the 80's with low humidity. Tonight it's 67 which would be considered winter in my hometown.

I'm here for the weekend and have a list of 'things to do, places to go and people to see' that includes the aircraft museum with it's iMAX theater and 3D movies.
