girls just want to have fun

SINGLE BLACK FEMALE seeks male companionship, ethnicity unimportant. I'm a very good girl who LOVES to play.

I love long walks in the woods, riding in your pickup truck, hunting, camping and fishing trips, cozy winter nights lying by the fire.

Candlelight dinners will have me eating out of your hand. I'll be at the front door when you get home from work, wearing only what nature gave me.. Call 01637 881455 and ask for Annie, I'll be waiting.

As soon she was back at her desk, in front of me, I disobey and… Got caught of course…
Such an improbable complicity between a dog and a bird smitten Just impossible to do not melt and smile…
Hopefully, she won’t consider to fire me

Oh durn, I was afraid of that, and did try to prev

Posted some pics on a blog to calm things down, but suddenly the blog is vanished.

Okay, repeat posting for those who missed the pics.

While I was typing there I heard one of my cats yowling at something that was also making a noise we don't have a word for, birdlike, but not a nice sound at all. WTF is that? So I finished my response, typos and all, grabbed a camera and went to go look.

As I neared the door the yowling changed to just a growl and some hisses, and their had been no cat screams, so I knew a pistol probably wasn't needed so I left it in the holster bolted to the inside door.

Through the outer door glass, this is what I saw.

This is what the cat was now staring at. I figure one of them must have been much closer when I first heard the yowling and what turned out to be the noise a Tom makes when he is feeling hostile.

My opening the outer door for a better camera focus made noise of course and the hen scurried away while the Tom played a rear guard and slowly retreated. I have at least two flocks roaming around here and this is the smaller Tom. The other (older I think) is about 1/3 again as large. I note the two Toms do not seem to be antagonistic to each other as there have been days when I see both flocks happily co-mingling in one of my meadows clucking away and pecking at stuff on the ground. Usually one Tom stands guard on one side and the other watches the other side. I know most of their noises, but today was the first time I had ever heard an incipient attack warning noise (analogous to the cat's warning yowl I suspect) from a Tom turkey. An interesting noise and I suspect quite beyond human throat capability.

Tom (suicidally, once he is in season) playing rear guard and slowly retreating from me.

The cat calmed down and came inside and I returned to life on CS.

Me & My GURL...

This is our first selfie...

This is GURL, my rescue dog from the shelter...
I decided to sit down on the porch with her tonight,
and laid back to see how she would respond.

As you can see, I believe she was content...
I think she loves me... what do you think?

And the song was just perfect for the video,
with the play on words Girl vs GURL..
~JOHN~

my old Angel

angel here's to you my dog who passed away july 11 this year.

Angel, who was a "mixed race" died of old age, she managed to do quite a lot of funny things throughout her life. from an early age she noticed my vision impairment and when i for instance had to answer the call of nature in the night and if she was laying in the hall, she allways wagged her tail so i could hear where she was. she also showed her love in a way that people would, kissing and being happy all the time when i visited her when she lived with my parents during her last year. good old Angel had her funny moments. sometimes she could just take off like a shot and run around the house, you couldn't have any snacks for yourself, lol. one thing is for sure, she made the best of her nearly 13 years in life.

Why 25 Acres is a Waste For Some Owners

Beauty, nature, wild animals, peace, and tranquility are what comes to mind when you tell someone you live on twenty-five acres of land.

They might envision their kids and grandchildren having plenty of room to run and play. Or take walks through the forest. Allow your animals to roam free. Fresh air and starry skies and all that.

The truth is: You only need one acre of land if you are not doing anything more than that. When you live in the country, there is so much more to think about.

If you are productive and care about your land, you might decide to do any number of things like these:

Be self-sufficient and have your own farm to raise food for yourself and your family. Why not for your community?
Raise rabbits, sheep, goats and lambs.
Raise cattle.
Run a you-pick berry, fruit, flower or vegetable farm.
Grow pumpkins.
Turn the house into a bed and breakfast lodge.
Rent it out to hunters. (My least favorite!)
Have it cut for firewood. (Also not my favorite.)
We all take many things for granted in our lives and this is one of them.

Let me tell you about the lazy, unforgivable, wasteful part of this story.

It sits and rots. It is abandoned as is the life within it. The trees decay from disease and die. Sometimes being choked out by vines and weeds. Their branches lying strewn about in the yard to further pollute the landscape because no one picks them up.

The animals you thought were safe are dead on the road or have mysteriously disappeared because a coyote or an owl took them and you will never know for sure nor have closure about it.

There are insects everywhere. From wood-boring bees, fire ant hills popping up, mosquitos out to bite you constantly, black flies that won't let you pick your fruit without stinging you, and wasps building nests on every area of your house that they choose to.

Bushes wildly grown over because no one trimmed them back so that you could see out of the windows nor walk down the sidewalk without brushing them aside.

Pinecones falling where they please with no apparent useful purpose. Maybe to feed the few sparse squirrels that are still living there.

The flowers that once were lovingly planted there that no one is outside to see. Orange tiger lilies, daffodils in white and yellow, violet lavender flowers growing in the grass among the pink wildflowers.

What beauty there is, goes mostly unnoticed and unappreciated by those who live their lives in a selfish possession driven state. They are ignorant of the abundance and pleasure that is theirs if they could only see. All they do is complain about what it takes to do the more menial tasks of just keeping it up for appearances. Whenever they get around to it.

Do you know someone like this? How sad!
