... The vets think it is a lesion in the brain, as apparently older cats get Meningiomas. Her eyesight is down some, but she's walking around with no apparent motor losses. They say that with strokes and such, cats, and some animals "wall point". They walk up to a wall, and just put their noses close and stand there. She did this some for a day right after the event, but now walks about the house, fairly steadily, but occasionally bangs into stuff, with the possible decrease in vision. But eating a bit, and peeing/pooping OK, and clearly recognizes us all. No vocalizations though. Enjoys light brushing, as usual. So all in all, she's not out of the woods by any means, but looks much better than a few days ago. So to me, it might just be a mild stroke, in evolution, hopefully soon to resolve, with only minor remaining disabilities. Angel still treats her like crap, each time they come close to each other, but is wasting away, so Lilly may live longer. Both nice kitties---tough to lose ant pet. Much easier to rid oneself of a woman.
A redtail hawk was raised by a bald eagle pair along with 3 of their own eaglet chicks.
Indeed, originally there were 2 redtail chicks in that nest, but one did not survive.
It became the talk of the town and much wider.
A raptor expert was brought in to battle through the many theories as to how 2 redtail chicks
could have gotten into a bald eagle nest. It turns out, that similar circumstances have
actually been documented 3 times prior to this.
The eagles raised their own and the redtail chick to fledge from the nest and the redtail was quite healthy.
The mayor even announced a day in the town for the bald eagle redtail chick, who is actually male and
retained some eagle behavior.

Even in nature, there are those who make things worse,
and others who restore order, leaving the world just a little bit better.
This footage of a 'wild' grizzly bear was shot in Denali National Park.
These are highly social creatures forming groups that are sustained on a dominance hierarchy. The shelter of sewers is ideal for rats. It is warmer in cold weather and cooler in hot weather. There are separate populations around a city. Some in the park, some in subways and some in alleys. A group is called, a " MISCHIEF " as they are known to cause mischief and trouble. Also known as, a " PACK."
There is a creature that lives forever, and has been floating around the oceans for over 66 million years. It is called, the Hydrozoan Turritopsis Dornii. It can reverse its life cycle and is dubbed the immortal jellyfish.

Two youths with bushy tails and black fur masks broke into a Bay Area bank via an air duct Tuesday. The intruders were shooed back onto the street and didn't abscond with any money.
The two juvenile raccoons were found by the Peninsula Humane Society inside the Redwood City bank as the Humane Society responded to a call from a man using the the ATM, who initially thought he was looking at a stuffed animal on top of a desk inside the bank. He then saw the animal move and realized he was staring directly at a live raccoon and called the Humane Society.
The bank was closed to the public at the time. The Peninsula Humane Society did not share the name of the bank where the break-in took place.
“The bank managers let our rescue staff into the bank, and after about 10 minutes of chasing the raccoons around the bank, we were finally able to safely shoo them outside. They apparently didn’t want to leave the bank,” said PHS/SPCA communications manager Buffy Martin Tarbox.
The two intrepid intruders left a telling trail as they breached the bank's exterior.
“There were muddy paw prints on a tree outside the bank, so we suspect the raccoons climbed the tree to the roof of the bank, and then somehow managed to crawl into the air ducts and fell through the ceiling tiles onto the floor of the bank,” Tarbox said. “There were several broken ceiling tiles, and the masked bandits knocked papers around and even a computer over. Thankfully, the raccoons were not injured during their morning escapade.”

Terriers, Shepherds, Dalmatians, Chow Chow, mutts... whatever. I never owned a dog that needed haircuts. My mother did. One of her friends had a shit-zoo and connected her with a lady who bred and sold pedigree 'little white dogs' that needed to be groomed at places that charge lots of money. The dog came back with a bow in her hair. Pampering was required. The dog had no desire to fetch a ball, run or do things that normal dogs do. She would just sit in the chair next to my mother and watch TV.
I'm living in a community where the sign on the main gate states NO PET COMMUNITY and security will turn you away if you have a dog in your car. Well, that didn't work. Probably 10% of the residents here have a dog. Some... have 2.
If you get a doctor's note, you can keep a comfort animal that is on file with the condo association.
While walking this morning I passed a resident who was out with his Schnauzer. Leash in one hand and pooper scooper bag in the owner. Fido wasn't well groomed. I guess the owner wasn't concerned about keeping status with his dog.
Years ago, a friend owned a sheepdog who enjoyed jumping in the pool. When he got out and shaked off, water went everywhere. They had his fur/hair trimmed short to solve the problem. That breed is actually skinny under all that mess!

Having a love for pets is a wonderful thing! Pets can bring so much joy, love, and companionship into our lives. Whether it's a dog, cat, bird, or any other type of pet, they can become a valued member of the family and bring a lot of happiness to our daily routines.
Owning a pet also comes with responsibilities, such as providing proper care, nutrition, and medical attention. It is important to consider the time, effort, and financial commitment involved in pet ownership before bringing a pet into your life.
If you have a love for pets, there are also many ways to volunteer and give back to animals in need, such as at a local animal shelter, or by supporting animal welfare organizations.
Overall, having a love for pets can be a wonderful and fulfilling aspect of life, and can bring a lot of happiness and joy to both you and the animals you care for.
Once upon a time, there was a lazy cat named Whiskers. Whiskers lived a comfortable life, spending most of his days lounging in the sun, napping, and grooming himself. He didn't like to do anything that required much effort, such as hunting for his food or playing with toys.
One day, a mouse sneaked into the house and started stealing Whiskers' food. At first, Whiskers was too lazy to do anything about it, but as the mouse continued to take more and more of his food, Whiskers realized he needed to take action.
He thought about all the ways he could get rid of the mouse, but they all required too much effort. Finally, he came up with a plan that was just lazy enough for him. He started napping in front of the mouse's hiding spot, making it difficult for the mouse to get to the food.
The mouse soon realized it couldn't get to the food with Whiskers in the way and gave up trying. Whiskers was pleased with his clever solution and went back to lounging in the sun, happy to have solved his problem in the laziest way possible.
From that day on, Whiskers had plenty of food and no mouse to bother him, and he lived the rest of his days in lazy contentment.
