John's Anti-Squirrel Mixture (I hope)
A list of spices that was put together,
to help discourage the squirrels from my garden.
Talking about something that will taste and burn,
and water their eyes… this should do it.
I plan to sprinkle some on top of the soil around the plant.
If this don’t discourage the pests, then it reminds me of
Caddy Shack w/Bill Murray…(old movie)
Oh, and got 3 rubber snakes, to lay around also. haha
List of ingredients:
2 each… Road Kill (by Larry The Cable Guy) …
2 each… Crushed Red Peppers…
2 each… Onion Powder…
2 each… Garlic Powder…
2 each… Cayenne Pepper…
2 each… Ground Black Pepper
I may come up with something else that is spicy, to include in the mix.
Can’t wait till the rain subsides, so I can try out my concoction,
on the unsuspecting critters.
NOTE: To the "all animal lovers" ( I love animals too, but not at my expense of damage and destroying property the critters create!) This is my attempt to refrain from using the pellet rifle.

These two are my pets.
Turtle,about 6 yrs old, female. Half year awaken, half year asleep.

Alone
It is slowly turning from a hot and windy day, into a sultry night.
The wind is still making it's presence known as it gusts past
the support cables holding up my internet tower. Sometimes
mimicking the sound of a bass violin and other times sounding
like far off thunder.
It's as if the castle is trying to talk to me.
My old dog is curled up at my feet under my desk sleeping the
sleep of the well contented. He's been fed, petted, talked to
and walked. His day is done. He doesn't even need to stand
guard anymore. His reputation in the town is sufficient to give
all potential bad guys second thoughts. So now he rests.
But I am awake.
It is too early to go to my bed. And it is too warm still to be
comfortable. In another couple or three hours it will be cool
enough for the fan to do it's job and let me sleep away the
hours until I can face a new day.
But for now, I am alone with my thoughts.
My mind races and dances with the myriad images of my past.
How did I wind up here, of all places. Was it all just one huge
accident, or is some greater power directing the action...........
I think that I will sit and think. I think that I shall organize my
thoughts. I may even take notes.
But I'll think quietly. I don't want to disturb my old dog.

Florida has been invaded by Burmese pythons as the result of an intense storm that accidently freed
these captive pets near the Everglades years ago.
Some estimate that there are now over 100,000 of these invasive snakes in the everglades,
where no natural predator has evolved to control them.
They can grow up to 26 feet in length and in that area have decimated the populations
of many mammals such as deer, raccoons, bobcats, rabbits, etc .
In response Florida has hired about 25 professional snake hunters to capture these invasive snakes.
In the following video we get to see one of these snake hunters capture such a Burmese python,
that was in the process of strangling an alligator. They have been known to kill much larger gators.
So, man rescues alligator is perhaps something you never thought you would hear, nor see;

Once in a while you see something that brings back the good in man. This video is just that. A Turtle gets tangled up in a mesh and is untangled by a good person.

The Missoula County Sheriff's Office said deputies responded to a home just before 6 a.m. on a report of a bear trapped inside the residence.
Deputies said the bear had opened the door to the home's mudroom, made its way into the residence and somehow managed to lock the deadbolt from the inside.
The bear trashed a room before falling asleep in a closet, where it was found by the deputies.
Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks personnel were summoned to tranquilize and relocate the bear.

Nonetheless, this is a live CAM feed of 1 or 2 beautiful young chicks... and their mom.
Well, to explain better, it is a live view of an eagle's nest high in a tree in Duke's Farm in Bridgewater, NJ, USA.
Mom (as I type this) is currently in the nest on top of her 1 to 2 tiny new hatchlings,
keeping them warm and safe from being blown out of the nest, as it has been cold & windy lately
here in NJ.
So, click on the play arrow and see what's happening right now.
I did think I saw 2 cute hatchling eaglets for a bit last night, but either one
got blown out of the nest, or the other was still an egg.
I'm sure that at some point today dad will be back to the nest with some food,
perhaps fresh caught fish and mom will
feed the chick(s) sashimi and you're invited to watch.
If all goes well, you can check back from time to time and watch the youngsters grow up and eventually fledge from the nest live.
