Running for senator in a state you don't live in...

Currently Republican Herschel Walker is in a runoff election against Democratic incumbent Senator Raphael Warnock. A few details have been uncovered as Walker is still a resident of Texas and claiming homestead exemption for the home he owns there, yet he registered to vote and voted in Georgia.
By Georgia law, "Any person who votes, or registers to vote, knowing that he or she is not eligible to do so is guilty of a felony.” This is a serious offense and could affect the outcome of the election if he's not eligible to run for office in Georgia.

Walker is on the fence with anti-abortion and having paid for an abortion for a girlfriend of 6 years, that he's denied knowing.

Now he's running for office to a state he doesn't actually live in.

This reads like the perfect candidate for Republicans to put their faith in...

It is amazing and scary...sound the alarm!

all of this....it is so crazy...first of all I have had a pregnant daughter in law 5 months along having to work in a hospital in California...I mean come on now....early twenties and being pregnant and forced to work...had to give two weeks notice...finally that is done...also I have a son 4th year in med school working in the hospital in the college town till they ran out of protective gear for him....a temporary respite...things are so crazy to put a medical student and students to assist in this disaster...of course I asked my son what does he think of people who think this is all a hoax or a theory...he replied to me that yes people are dying and that it is disrespectful to think that people are not dying and quite a few thankfully not the numbers they were flippantly throwing out...who can foresee that?wow

That tingle down my leg.....

Anticipating good news soon for the brilliant and honest (and sober) Judge K. Next, after Ginsburg fails to wake up from one of her regular sleep spells on the job, the politically neutral Judge Amy Coney Barrett is on deck. Wonder what sort of shameless stunts the Dems will try to hit her with? Generations of a more balanced court.

Politics & Religion

There is a noticeable similarity between the religiously motivated posts here and a lot of the political ones. Both lots could be described as having a very conservative, right wing leaning, and both also seem to stretch plausibility to breaking point and beyond. The resemblance of these two groups to each other is so striking as to make it pretty evident that they are part and parcel of the same underlying movement. Either one is worrying enough but both together is alarming.

I don’t know if it is inevitable that an extreme Christian Fundamentalist is also automatically a disturbingly fanatical Republican but it is very difficult to deny a very strong connection between the two. Religious extremism has probably been around much longer than its political equivalent so it seems logical to think that the sickeningly familiar tactics of the political dogmatists have been appropriated from the religious ones. They are basically the same.

The main method of persuasion used by the followers of these sinister ideologies seems to be based on demonisation, with an emphasis on the awful consequences of not seeing things their way. The Christians have a ready made nemesis in Satan, but the Republicans have to keep recreating theirs in order to move along with the times, although they usually have several on the go at once. Obama has been described as the Antichrist and Hilary Clinton is, apparently, the personification of evil, itself.

Would anyone who is not already affiliated to the Christian, Republican, raving bigot faction actually contemplate joining them? It would be nice to think not but in reality there always seems to be a ready supply of witless minions looking for a cause to follow.

History does have a habit of going round in circles and one can only hope that, as the wheel turns, this worrying state of affairs will be replaced by something more palatable, I certainly hope so, and as soon as possible.

Trump -Target of Mueller's Investigation

Published on fox news 11 hours ago.

Judge Andrew Napolitano: Mueller's ultimate target is Trump.

"Does any of this relate to President Donald Trump? Here is the back story.

At the same time that Paul Manafort and his business partner Rick Gates were guiding the Trump campaign in the summer of 2016, Russian agents were manipulating American social media sites so as to arouse chaos in general and animosity toward Hillary Clinton in particular. The Department of Justice appointed former FBI Director Robert Mueller as independent counsel to determine whether any Americans had criminally helped the Russians.

The alleged crimes of Manafort and Gates appear to have nothing to do with Trump, nor have they any facial relationship to the Russians. So why were these two indicted by a grand jury hearing evidence about alleged American assistance to Russian interference with the 2016 presidential campaign?

When prosecutors confront a complex series of potentially criminal events, they often do not know at the outset of their investigation where the evidence will lead them. Sometimes they come upon a person who they believe has knowledge of facts they seek and that person declines to speak with them. Such a refusal to speak to the government is perfectly lawful in America, yet it often triggers a prosecution of the potential witness so that prosecutors may squeeze him -- not literally, of course -- for evidence to which they believe he can lead them.

The ultimate target of Mueller’s investigation is President Trump. It is standard operating procedure when prosecutors have a high-level target to charge those below the target with something just to get them to cooperate. Though the charges against Manafort and Gates need not be related to the Russians or to Trump, they must be real. It's clear they are, as each is facing more than 20 years in prison. Mueller believes that that prospect is enough to dispatch their lawyers to make deals with him.

The danger of such a deal is that Manafort and Gates may offer to tell Mueller what they think he wants to hear -- even if it is not truthful -- so that they can have their prison exposure lessened."

DUTERTE, cozying up with Russia

Strategically located in a very volatile area, the Philippines' position on both geographic and political direction is of global importance.

Since 1898 after the Spanish American war was over, the Philippines was freed from the Spaniards ending over 300 years of abusive and slavery rule. It gave rise to the Westernization of the country and followed by the installation of American control. Considering the location alone, the US interest of the area almost led to the inclusion of the Union only to be thwarted by the Filipino elites thinking it would make us just as slave as when we were under the Spaniards.

While the independence of the country was a prized achievement in 1945, the US continued to run their military operations on a lease contract which ended sometime in the 80s. The following years, there proved no sign of any political conflict amongst the super powers of the world which include but not limited to Russia, China, US and Europe. Good riddance for the US as it cost us about a billion dollar of rent expense which was a loss to the Philippines.

Recently however, because of the growing aggression of China in building its military powers in disputed island north of the Philippines, coupled by the increasing presence of ISIS training in the south it is most likely that US actually do need the Philippines or for political and military balance, the world do need it.

What is very radically disturbing at the moment is Duterte leaning on forging an unusual relationship with Russia leaving US and Philippines' relationship a very questionable and undoubtedly shaken. A very unexpected political alliance is being forged.

Recently Duterte insulted Obama and I personally feel perhaps he truly knows what is better for the future of the country. Obama being so pro islam and the ISIS making the south as training ground of terror, perhaps he feels he will not get a good support from a US president that stands opposite his objectives.
