Who Kamala Devi Harris is.

This was the person I had hoped Biden would choose as his running mate.
I was told by someone on here, that it wouldn't happen. He backed Tulsi, who incidently did not even run in the primary in Hawaii.

Biden's selection of Harris not only indicates his current ability to choose wisely, but his ability to respect
people who go against him. Harris's debates with Biden were famous.

She has good intentions (unlike the horrendous "so-called" president we currently have) and she has pure fire in her belly. She is very motivated to make changes for the better, and not the type to take b.s. from anyone. What a shame she won't be the one prosecuting our current "so-called" president. If she wasn't getting VP, I had hoped Biden would have made her attorney general (AG).
She was AG in California for 6 years and is currently serving this nation as a US senator.

Last year she said;

During her presidential bid, she stated that, "I’m running to fight for Medicare for All, universal pre-K, debt-free college & more. To guarantee middle-class families a pay increase of up to $500/mo with the largest working-class tax cut in decades — paid for by reversing this Admin’s gifts to big corporations & the top 1%".

She has also stated "We have a president who believes in science fiction. I believe in science fact. Climate change is real and we're in the midst of a climate crisis. We need a #GreenNewDeal and as president, on day one, America will rejoin the Paris Agreement."

Kamala also said, "Health care should be a right for every American, not just a privilege for those who can afford it. Trump’s anti-immigrant agenda couldn’t be more clear. He has separated families. Locked children in cages. Sought to spend billions on his border wall, which is nothing more than a vanity project. That is not reflective of our values and it has to end."

We are here knowing that we are at an inflection point in the history of our world. We are at an inflection point in in the history of our nation. We are here because the American Dream and our American democracy are under attack and on the line like never before.
We are here at this moment in time because we must answer a fundamental question: Who are we? Who are we as Americans?
So, let’s answer that question. To the world. And each other. Right here. And, right now.
America, we are better than this.
When we have leaders who lie and bully and attack a free press and undermine our democratic institutions that’s not our America. When white supremacists march and murder in Charlottesville or massacre innocent worshipers at a Pittsburgh synagogue that’s not our America. When we have children in cages crying for their mothers and fathers, don't you dare call it border security, that’s a human rights abuse and that’s not our America. When we have leaders who attack public schools and vilify public school teachers that’s not our America. When bankers who crashed our economy get bonuses but workers who brought our country back can't even get a raise that’s not our America.
And when American families are barely living paycheck to paycheck, what is this administration’s response? Their response is to try to take away health care from millions of families. Their response is to give away a trillion dollars to the biggest corporations in this country. And their response is to blame immigrants as the source of all our problems.
And guys lets understand what is happening here: People in power are trying to convince us that the villain in our American story is each other. But that is not our story. That is not who we are. That’s not our America.
Our United States of America is not about us versus them. It’s about We the people!
And in this moment, we must all speak truth about what’s happening.
Seek truth, speak truth and fight for the truth.

Three Things To Remember When The Democrats Start Whining About Trump's Supreme Court Appointment

RIP Ruth Ginsburg bla bla bla...

1. Ginsburg was asked by Democrats to step down when Obama was in office so they could ensure she would be replaced by another liberal. She refused. So now President Trump gets to pick a conservative instead of Obama picking a liberal. Thank you Ms. Ginsburg. You did not die in vain! And I have to give you credit where credit is due, your timing is brilliant.

2. The Democrats eliminated the filibuster for Supreme Court nominees while Obama was in office. They thought they were being really clever even though they were warned by the Republicans not to do it because it would come back to bite them. Guess what? It came back to bite them. Now, thanks to the Democrats, President Trump and the Republicans can exercise their constitutional right to appoint a new Supreme Court Justice any time they want and the Democrats are powerless to stop it. Nice work Democrats! You shot yourselves in the foot!

3. What do you suppose Chuck Schumer would do if he was in the same position as Mitch McConnell now and there was a Democrat in the White House? Would he be saying "For the good of the country we need to wait and let the next president pick the replacement for Ginsburg?" YEAH RIGHT!

The Democrats have NO ONE TO BLAME BUT THEMSELVES and their stupid attempts to destroy the democratic process for this appointment. They made their bed and now they will have to lie in it. They NEVER seem to learn their lesson. LIBERALISM, SOCIALISM AND COMMUNISM DO NOT WORK!

You can't destroy the democratic process and then demand democracy when things don't go your way. It doesn't work like that.

President Donald J. Trump: Record three Supreme Court Justice appointments in his first term! He beat the Democrats like a rented mule at their own game. thumbs up thumbs up thumbs up thumbs up thumbs up cheers cheers cheers cheers cheers

One of the greatest speeches I've ever heard, at a time when it is most needed

While there is still a hint of the stuttering issue that Biden used to have (to a greater extent),
it should be obvious, that there is no cognitive issues at all. That was an intentional misinterpretation.
Joe Biden is an experienced good public servant, who has care for fellow citizens and motivation to make things better on many fronts. He and his vice president are exactly who this country needs at this time
to unite and lead us out of the corrupt mess that the current lying "so-called" president has helped create. head banger

DNC Chairwoman...just a thought

Just a thought here...

Schultz steps down as DNC chairwomen. Bernie Sanders all along has been calling for her resignation. But, it took until today, for the announcement of her stepping down. What prompted this move...leaking of emails showing the DNC clearly favoring Sander's opponent.

In my opinion, it speaks volumes about the DNC's chairwoman's integrity. She knew she was doing wrong when Sanders had made it public that the DNC was playing favorites. Heck, most of the general public knew fairness was not exactly being practiced...it was that transparent.

Why did she not step down back then? Perhaps she believed that she could get away with her unfair practices? It must be something like that.

Now that the proof has been exposed to the public, for all to see. Now...she is stepping down.

(Just the fact that the proof is out and she is stepping down...is and of itself an admittance of knowing she did wrong.)

Hmmm...what sort of moral fiber is she really made of?

Just a thought.

I know...she is a politician and politicians are crooked. But...come on people, do we really need to promote this sort of immoral behavior?

Just another thought. grin

Hillary did win though...sigh

but

The crooked behavior exposed...grin

Trump and Ryan Tout Unity for the House

Published from CNN and last edited at 10:45 Thursday

"Washington (CNN)Donald Trump and House Speaker Paul Ryan concluded their highly anticipated meeting Thursday amid signals that the Republican Party will work to piece itself together after a fractious primary.

"While we were honest about our few differences, we recognize that there are also many important areas of common ground," Trump and Ryan said in a joint statement. "We will be having additional discussions, but remain confident there's a great opportunity to unify our party and win this fall, and we are totally committed to working together to achieve that goal."

I have always thought after listening so much from Russ Libaugh, Sean Hannity and Fox Bill O'Reily that this will be the result of the shaking of the GOP house.

Lo and behold the most anticipated meeting resulted in a very positive goal and that is to unite everyone to spear head the success of ousting the rule of the current socialist administration that has put us in this political predicament.

I knew that this is the only direction they can embrace in order to define the future of this country as unanimously declared by all the original 17 candidates now with only Trump remains standing to achieve that goal.

I am confident the people will all decide to put a new president in the coming November and that is the formidable and and indomitable Mr. Trump.

Thank you all for your reads and comments, if any.bouquet

National Prayer's Breakfast Speech

Even I was convinced with the sincerity of the US president Obama on his speech at the National Prayer Breakfast meeting today.

He said in a very solemn voice: "GOD DOES NOT SUPPORT TERRORIST."

"WE SHOULD SEEK TO BE AN INSTRUMENT FOR PEACE".

"NO ONE SHOULD INSULT ANY RELIGION".

"OUR NATION DOESN'T SPONSOR NOR ENDORSE ANY RELIGION OR FAITH BECAUSE WE ARE GRANTED THE FREEDOM TO PRACTICE ANY KIND BUT MUST BE RESPECTFUL TO ALL."

The most that connected to my heart is when he said: WE SHOULD PRACTICE THE GOLDEN RULE.

Wouldn't it be great if all people in the world follow and practice the same thing?

Question is? Why can't we?

Anyways, I was also touched by his emphasis on the reasons why the founders of our nation included God in their Declaration of Independence and it is primarily with the fact that they believed in God.

I do.

NOTE: My question is, is he sincere? I doubt.

Time Magazine's Person of the year

Trump, as expected is the recipient this year.

I know there's a lot of other people deserving to be given this yearly recognition and so my question is who would have you preferred and why?

Thanks for your read and comments if any.
