I know why I am grumpy.

I dawned on me today while I was heading home from work. I now know why I am this irritable mess. I know why I snapped and raged in my last blog.. I know what I must say, but I don't think I have the strength to acknowledge it. I am scared. That I would be considered a failure. That I am considered weak. But deep down inside, I KNOW I am not weak. I KNOW I am not a failure.. I guess I just have to say it:

I am a coca cola addict. I don't mean it in a funny way like "hurr I am such an addict to coca cola lol.".. I really mean it. I am an addict. How do I know I am an addict?

Well, these past few days, I have been consuming a LOAD of coca cola. Up to six 0.5 liter bottles a day. That is 3 liters of the stuff. Once I finish a bottle, I want another one straight away. That, in my book, is an addiction. I crave the taste of a cola. If I don't drink one each day, I feel terrible. It's because I need the sugar and the caffeine.

Tomorrow, I am gonna drink nothing but water, to see if it helps. I would like to start doing it now, but I don't have any near me.

So there it is. I am an addict. Some of you might go "Well at least it's not alcohol or drugs", which is true.

Let's go in past

If GOD give you a chance to go in past to correct your mistakes, then which mistake will you correct?

Life is full of difficulties and opportunities.
If we always keep grieving instead of fighting with problems, we will lose many opportunities in our lives.
Instead of regretting what you have not got, be happy and progress in what you have got.

I understood these lessions very late.frustrated
I have made a lot of mistakes because of this ignorance.doh
So,
If GOD give me a chance to go in my past, I will teach these lessions to myself in beginning (in childhood). comfort

Daily quotes ??

A friendly reminder for everyone:

"When you're tired, get some rest. When you're sad, go ahead and cry. It's okay to take a break. Then one day there will surely come a day when you'll be able to run again." ?

Job interview done!

My major interview was today. Yesterdays interview was just a short one, while today was the interview, that will determine if I get the job or not.

I had to complete some tests again. The first one was where i had to answer 16 questions. On that test, I had 93.33% correct, which put me at the top. The second test was designed to calculate my WPM. I ended with 56 WPM with 2 spelling errors, which landed me in the top 5% of results.

Next followed a series of questions, where I was asked about previous jobs. How I handled stress, how I was as a person and how I approach my job.

The entire interview was little less than an hour long, and it ended with the interviewer saying, that she didn't think I would have any issues with the job. That makes me think, that I am in with a very real shot of securing employment on a full time basis. The salary is also pretty good, which allows me to save up for a new place to live!

Fingers crossed that I will hear some positive news back from them! They said tomorrow or Monday at the latest!

The monkey and me...

I saw a blog a few weeks ago that had a YouTube video featuring a public speaker talk about goals and procrastination. Using some visuals, he was the captain of a sailing ship and described due dates for projects. When he had ample time, his 'instant gratification monkey' would convince him to play and surf the internet.
As the project due date grew closer the monkey would continue to assure him he could procrastinate longer (having fun) until he passed the date where he could complete the task. At that point a monster appeared scaring the monkey away as well as putting fear into the man who would stay up all night to finish what he could have easily done had he not listened to the monkey.

I have a monkey too...

Unlike the monster, I have a logical voice of reminder and I'll refer to her as my mother.
I'll tell mother I'm working on a project for a meeting in the morning and go off to play a few rounds of Freecell. Maybe an hour later, mother will come into my office with a bowl of watermelon chunks and ask how I'm doing with my project. My typical reply would be "I was playing with the monkey, but I'll start in a few minutes" A few minutes later, she returns to get the empty bowl and asks me to show her what work I need to do. By then the monkey has gone and my mind begins to focus on my project.

I have a few bills to pay tonight and log on to my remote office computer to finish some prices for a customer meeting tomorrow. Hopefully the monkey won't bother me as I don't have time to shop for guitars and new cars!

Time to heal

This is a peaceful thread so please don't start a riot or use obscene language.

As a human being watching the World implode over the incident in Minneapolis I have to ask myself why we are not learning from this instead of tearing each other apart.

Yes there is still prejudice in this World in many walks of life, but taking sides just causes more division . Racism is deep rooted and a part of our history but it should be just that HISTORY Have we learned nothing from the past that we cannot move forward together and unite instead of divide.

Your thoughts are welcome but not your anger or hate. Take it elsewhere

Thank you.handshake

When you hit rock bottom....

...........Remember, if you can be successful once, you can get back up, dust yourself off, and do it again.

You only need to remember one person who did. Tiger Woods.
He was once the best golfer in the world, on top of his game, and unbeatable on most weekends. Then one Thanksgiving weekend he was pulled over by the police and checked for a DUI. He was alcohol free but was on prescription meds. Woods also had to deal with the damage done from a very public and scandalous divorce.

Woods’s return to the top garnered praise from world leaders and sporting greats alike, with United States president Donald Trump and his predecessor Barack Obama both offering congratulations via social media.

“Congratulations to @TigerWoods,” tweeted Trump, who earlier this year played golf with Woods. “A truly Great Champion!”

Nicklaus, 23-times tennis grand slam winner Serena Williams, Super Bowl champion Tom Brady also applauded the victory on Twitter while swimmer Michael Phelps, the winner of a record 23 Olympic gold medals, was at Augusta National to cheer Woods on.

Written off as too old and too beaten up from four back surgeries and multiple knee operations, Woods underwent a back fusion procedure in 2017 and slowly returned to form.

He ended last season by winning the Tour Championship and showed signs of a breakthrough at the majors by being a title contender at last year’s British Open, where he led in the final round, and PGA Championship, where he finished runner-up.

All those moments built to Sunday, when Woods was once again his old familiar dominating self.

“I had serious doubts after what transpired a couple years ago,” said Woods. “I could barely walk. I couldn’t sit. Couldn’t lay down. I really couldn’t do much of anything.

“Luckily I had the procedure on my back, which gave me a chance at having a normal life.

“To have the opportunity to come back like this it is probably one of the biggest wins I’ve ever had for sure because of it.”

Critical thinkers...

and the real racists...... Oh, whats the use? It won't change any minds, and serve only to tick more people off. Even gray old dogs can learn a few new tricks. VG.

HOW DO I FIND THINGS TO MAKE ME HAPPY

First, by being honest about the things that do make you happy. Most of us lie about what would really make us happy due to what others may think about it. I think many of us already know some things that will make us happy but we don't pursue it because we don't wanna be judged if it appears too quirky, risque, boring, outlandish, dangerous, etc.
Secondly, just start experimenting with things. If there's even a small inkling that you might enjoy something try it out. Only through experience will you really ever know what you like and what you don't.
Lastly, remain open minded and try things you normally wouldn't do, you never know what fulfillment it may bring into your life.
Oh…and one more thing, be creative! Me and my best friend discovered years ago that it wasn't necessarily where we were or what we were doing that made us enjoy certain experiences, it was the energy we bought to any situation.
If you're creative enough you can turn almost any mundane task into something fun that will make you feel happy for the moment. So instead of always looking for things to make you happy, transform the experiences already around you into happy moments with your own unique spark.
Good luck!

Hoarder...

I made a sales call to a customer who admits being a hoarder. I shook my head and said I understand. Wanting to know my story, she asked and I said it was more of collecting than hoarding. My shed was filled with years of hand drawings for kitchens and furniture, family photos, memorabilia and things I was holding for friends and family who didn't return to claim them.

80% is gone now and it's hard to unload the rest.
Tools? Sure I've got 3 jigsaws. I'll keep the best one and unload the others. I don't need a machete anymore or do I... No plans to go postal so I'll gift it to someone at work.

Strangely, my brother asked today about the wall plaque my father received when he was in the Navy aboard the battleship USS Missouri where the Empire of Japan signed a surrender which ended World War II. Yeah, I replied. I had it in my hand yesterday and don't know what to do with it. I'm glad he said it's okay to mail to him along with other family memorabilia.

No room, no time for it.

My neighbor is nice enough to hold a dozen plastic storage bins of mine and I'm trying to take 2 every visit. It's a holiday weekend and that could be four that get moved. I have many things to unload and will probably do some local Craig's list or offer up.
2 used jigsaws... make offer!
