I heard the song and I could not help but be reminded of the time I had my son. His father left us, neither he or I knew I was pregnant. He also left to me another child he had with another woman. While my son was growing up, someone told him he's an unwanted child hence one day he came to ask me. With the help of my parents we brought them up, both my son and his half-brother turned out to be a couple of fine young men. There is a God out there to keep you strong when you've exhausted all options and you feel all alone or think you have nowhere else to go or no one to turn to!
It is haiku....Some of life's magic is in the simplest things.
A mostly spiritual sonnet contrasting life and nature and immortality to the proximity of sunlight.
I watched and listened to a mother explain to her young daughter the Nativity scene and out of that this was born
Every day I feel is a blessing from God. And I consider it a new beginning. Yeah, everything is beautiful. Prince
I am not a religious person but going to catholic schools has influenced some of my writing. I think religion is a pretty concept even if I can't embrace it myself. Also quite long, sorry bout that.
Dedicated to a dear friend who was a Wild Life Rehabilitator who recently passed. Carole:I know that you are walking among God's animals in Heaven now and are happy and free of pain. Enjoy! Until we meet again dear friend.
With the truest will and god by his side a sword in hand he will take command moving from side to side guided by the light an the blessing from above like a hurricane he will come cleansing the devil's hole rotting the seed and follower for witch he
“Just remember: If one bird carried every grain of sand, grain by grain, across the ocean, by the time he got them all on the other side, that would only be the beginning of eternity." - Truman Capote
Any age can appreciate and use any time of day or night.
Written in response to adjhe's challenge.
This is what I was thinking about when waiting for your call.
For the spirit of Christ is in this house. I can feel it from the smile on your face. For you are felt here today our cup runneth over with joy and wisdom. that is present in this season. May your presence always be present in all that w

There is a Native American mythical institution that promotes the balanced use of natural resources: the figure of the Master of the Animals. Every animal has its master its "balut", a figuerative spokesperson, who simultaneously facilitates hunting and severely sanctions its excess. In this figurative sonnet I have chosen the old custom of a rain dance so this lesson can also apply to the way we use and regulate our water resources among the other more 'notable and finite' resources we can relate to. Greed will be the ruin of us all, unless us children (i.e. little people) pray and plea to a higher Being.
Someone whose mother is in her 90's keeps asking me how I dealt with the death of my mother. You don't - you just go on the best you can. August 5th will be the 9th Anniversary of my mother's death. You can grief also at a lost love or other losses in your life as well. I get comfort through writing my poems as well as my faith and - of course my CS poet friends!

I could not think of a title but one that took me to that place as I planted a dying crape myrtle in my back yard.
dont know how to explain this poem really but i guess what im trying to say is, nothing but heaven is perfect, life is not yet we expect it to be so, likewise to people also.. alittle less expectations and alot more graitude for the blessings we have but might be blinded to by greed for perfection, for wanting it all.
This sonnet is a message of what is lost, when the one true love that seeks us out can only be found through the lense of faith....just believe it.....and it will be so.
I was talking to an elderly Gent (in his 90's) and he told me that every night he stands under the stars and praises the 'Ancient of Days'
because of you i can see, because of you i am free because of you i do believe, because of you i aint naive because of you i can fly, because of you i always try because of you i am strong, because of you i still belong because of you i see light
caught in a slide heading head on towards a truck.
With such unrest and turmoil among men throughout the world, it just seems there would be more effort in seeking out the REAL solution to these problems. That solution being, THE ONE who knows the end from the beginning!
We see but we don't look we hear but we don't lision yet we can feel our emotions fadeing like a forgotten echo flowing into the crumbling broken thoughts of promises made that we refuse to recall
This is a continuation of my previous piece, "Mystical Experience" from the work of John Blofeld. It deals with the essence of the mystical experience which is "Mysticism". Unfortunately, the word "mysticism" seems to have negative connotations to some who may view it as a mysterious form of taboo mainly because it cannot be perceived by the intellect and logic. It is a direct experience as stated by Blofeld. Almost every religion, however, has a dimension of mysticism. In Christianity, Saint Teresa of Avila, Saint John of the Cross and Meister Eckhart were prominent Christians who had such an experience. In Islam, Sufism is a branch dealing with mysticism. Rumi is a prominent Sufi and this is reflected in his poetry. In Judaism, the Kabala is a tradition of mysticism. Eastern religions, especially Hinduism, Buddhism and Taoism deal with mysticism as a direct experience or intuition. The mystical experience can also be obtained directly through a deep sense of unity and harmony and with Nature. Some western poets such as William Blake, William Woodsworth and Emily Dickinson reflect this in some of their poetry. (Poetic Prose)
June 6, 2020 is the 1st Anniversary of the death of Baby Ruby. Still trying to find out what happened to her father - not sure if he is in jail or not. Drug rehab is not the full punishment for something as horrendous as this.https://ae01.alicdn.comUpdate 6/17/2019: They held a Candle Vigil at the St. Patrick's Cemetery where Baby Ruby was killed by her father. At the beginning they read my poem: Angel Ruby. I was not able to attend by listened to the video and sitting here crying. ......6/12/2019: I'm terribly upset. There was a 8 month baby girl about 1/2 mile away from where I live whose father raped, sexually assaulted her and killed her and she was found 25 feet away from shore in a pond. It blows my mind how a father can do this. So close to Father's Day but my guess is he won't win the reward for Father of the year. He is sitting in jail hopefully for life. And with his jail mates that life may not be so long. Her name was Ruby. Such a beautiful little baby.
the crucifix with the three in one what i would take before anything if i were given the choice thank you linda
The ever-elusive...
True love is a dream come true...
When we hand over our hurts to GOD, he binds and heal our wounds…..you also hand over your offenders to him to deal with…..GOD always protects us by cushioning the fall…
Some memories are so personal and prescious we hold them close within.
I went to a Catholic church from 1972-1987, 1994-1996, 1999-2001. Since I was adopted at 3, I remember my baptism, and remember crying my head off when they poured the water on my head.
Just going over some things I have wished would be better. Just like in the movie PeeWee's Big Adventure, "You can't wait for things to happen, you have to make them happen."
a welcoming candle on his birthday
I am deeply reflective with self awareness on this most festive day of Thanksgiving...like my Puritan fathers before me....is my fate upon the shores of new and wild land.
Inspired by a picture posted by MadTat! Thank you Tony!

I have something to say to the religionist who feels atheists never say anything positive:
Gypsyheart's poem "Wish for an Umbrella" reminded me of this passage. Had to go look it up and wanted to share.
