The Other Side

“Strange, is it not? that of the myriads who Before us pass'd the door of Darkness through, Not one returns to tell us of the Road, Which to discover we must travel too.” (Omar Khayyam – The Rubaiyat, verse 46) Omar Khayyam was a Persian mathematician, astronomer, and poet. He was born on May 18, 1048 and died on December 4, 1131. The verse of his poem quoted was written more than nine centuries ago. The message of his poem still holds today. My poem, “The Other Side”, is in line with the quoted verse from Khayyam's poem and is not meant to disparage the religious beliefs of anyone.

How Do I Live a Joyful Life?

Being blessed to wake up is a joy. As I give thought to the layout of my day, framing my moves to what I will do next, I count it as joyful. Knowing sometimes what I will face at work and sometimes before I leave home, I quietly say thank you Lord

Intolerance

The greatest danger to freedom of speech and threat to living in a free society might very well come down to any form of intolerance, especially directed towards those who love doing what they love doing because it might be considered offensive to someone else. History is filled with examples.

My Children

"My Children..."

I'm certain that there is NO 'intentional' offense being put forth by any of us that desire to share our thoughts about God's Love (or judgment against sin) in poetic fashion. Though it's most certain that many will not agree to the messages that we present in our poems, and for that, we as Christians, are saddened. God's Love is every bit as much available to each and every one of you as it is to ANY and ALL that have freely accepted it! GOD truly is LOVE.
