For seven years I've longed for your love, That's deep and blue as the ocean's bliss - As winged she flies - a lonely dove - Through the storm's eye in search of your kiss;- No longer I'll watch the empty cove, And dying waves that beg for a try

One day while pondering the thought and possibility of plants 'thinking and speaking'... I came up with this poem. It's meant to be an analogy of the way people's lives can sometimes be compared to one another. Success vs failure, popular vs unpopular, accepted vs the outcasts. May it cause us all to be a bit more compassionate and sensitive to those around us who may appear to be less fortunate in life's circumstances.

Originally, this poem came from the ancient Greek. The title was something like oikemon parthenos pussypoo. Apparently, Athenian women took offense at the lack of a believable story line. Men had few complaints. Somehow it appeared centuries later, in the waist packs of Visigoth warriors, on their way to Gaul. More recently, a copy turned up in an excavation site near Oslo, along with a collection of stone sex toys. Check out the neat meter, which is not unlike that of the sonnets of A E Neuman. Slick.

At each day we rise we get to write a new page Discovering what is most alive in us and releasing it to others During the day we contribute to each others novel Challenged by life’s ups and downs we write our stories As the day wares on we get to
Most people (ignorant, so to speak) immediately assume that all hispanic immigrants are good for nothings, that they belong in the rice fields. Little do they know, hispanics in general are labor ready workers, hard-workers, willing to sacrifice whatever it is necessary to provide their families with daily food. They're underpaid and disrespected, this poem was written in honor of those great men whose fruit is the product of their labor.
