Pony tale

White pony, crossed the river
its legs, were covered darkish red
the water draws in blood and mud
the sky was turning black.

Today is day remarked by law
the village made voice threat
a bastard boy been caught to steal
a piece of onion and bread.

The crowd were clapped big fat eyes
a sound of smiling death
pronounced the sentence, the mute bastard
on knees, was looking sad.

Hooked the gallows, hundreds of souls
were dancing in crazy mad.
White pony crosses the fields, while
cold wind embraces in roaring wept.

In Future’s Defense (revisited)

rewritten in 50-word rhyme

Bold feathers reflecting sunbeams red
in flight’s pattern to elude
small, winged force of nature did
swoop, outsized, generations to protect, obtrude
diving hard into vulnerability, unseen but surely felt
to distract from its future’s cradled heart
dark, small, unrelenting, each blow it dealt
until regal red-tailed intruder did depart.

The penitent man walks in the footsteps of God

To be or not to be?
I cannot think, I shall not think
for when I think, I think
I have thought wrong.

Like the braggart amongst his friends
I am egged on
to make my next step
to play the game

But they are not here
to feel this immense fear
I have mis-stepped before
felt the bitter mockery of the cold floor

to them I am but a carny
a source for their amusement
it is not a game to me
but truly life or death

The cold winds of pressure
chill my bones to the core
As I sway helplessly in the breeze
the feeling gives out in my knees

I look back at the platform
although there is no one there
to care
to catch me if I fall
I have abused that privilege
they just want this over with

Anxieties, doubts, social restraints
and a figure appears at the end
ghastly and dark, demonic and malevolent
he shakes the ground beneath

Lightning crashes and thunder roars
I cannot stand still anymore
I must make a choice, must walk the line
or surely I will die trying.

So here goes nothing
I lift my leg slowly
as if hoping I don't have to move alone
but suddenly without my knowing
I am.

Gone are the rowdy peanut gallery
gone is the thunder and rain
tis only I against myself
one chance to win it all

GOD ORDER MY STEPS
I cry aloud
He responds not directly
but with opportunity

I see two rocks on which to leap
both are the same
except one is safe
the other will lead to my downfall

No words of advice
no safety net
I give my all to God
In nomine Patris et filii et spiritui sancti
To You, I commend my soul.

Which way to go
I do not know
but already I am airborne
no pros no cons no surveys at all
Time to see how well I chose.

Although I stand here and now
I doubt what I have done
for the game of Life, although I play
is obviously no longer fun.

The weight of all my guilt
remorse and my earlier sins
bear down on me and the rock
I slowly begin to slip.

Memories of thing I have done
and what I have gravely failed to do
unleash their vengeance upon me
I feel nothing but pure agony

tears stream from my eyes
as before them, my life flashes by
a grandfather I failed to love
lies I've told and sins I've done
all the great evils of my life
threaten to tear me off my side

I cannot believe how selfish I was
how utterly appalling I had become
I failed to live a life for the Son
that matters not, for soon I shall be undone.

What good has come from my existence
anything now to relieve this circumstance
I search in vain
and find not one of any consequence
not a deed of any permanence

Nature Knows Not

Oh, nature!
Who hath seen thee
but admiring eyes
Why doth thou not
speak of thy own
beauty?
Hath thou no voice?
The tiger knows not
of her beautiful
stripes
Nor can the horse
contemplate the
grace of his
stride
And no autumn was
ever heard boasting
of her splendid
colors
Surely the earth
in her mysterious
path through the
heavens will regale
us with shameless
self praise
Or perhaps the rainbow
will whisper in our
ears the secrets of
her prismatic colors
Yet creation is given
no tongue with which
to speak and lives
as a blind man who
cannot behold his
reflection in a
glass
But weep not my
beloved sun, moon,
and stars..
For I have eyes to
see, ears to hear,
and a mouth with
which to speak
And I will voice
praises for you
I will listen for
what you cannot hear
And I will see myself,
in your still ponds
for I am a wandering
rebel..
and there is none
like me~

Storm

There was a time that I believed
That nothing could happen to me
I was in a place, deep in a hole
So dark I could not see.

Everyday the rain won't fall
The shine will come out and shine on us all
There's a light at the end for you my friend
Oh take it from me, the storm will someday end.

So much has changed inside our hearts
We can tell it's tearin' us apart
We share your pain and feel your hurt
But holy water cleanses the dirt.

The sun is going to shine
And the rain won't fall
The storm is going to pass

Yes,you were, oh so stuck in a hole.

Every day the rain won't fall
The sun will come out and shine on us all
A light at the end for you, my friend.
Take it from me
The storm will someday end.

Missed Kisses

There will come a time when salt becomes sweeter than honey...
When cold frozen nights suddenly become sunny...
When honey that drips from your warm softened lips...
Becomes liquid bliss that I so wish to kiss...

I suppose you would wish that I wrongfully miss...
Miss the sweet bliss that I miss from your kiss...
The bittersweet drops hidden in your sweet kisses...
The kisses that this kid oh so certainly misses....

Nights

Nights of mysteries and feelings,
Nights of dreams and plays, and vice,
Nights of musings and misgivings,
Nights of skies overcast with stars.
Nights of colds and chills, and quivers,
Nights of pleasure, grace and love,
Nights of treasures beyond measure
Of the verse made one by one.
Nights of darkness, pierced with candles,
Flames that flicker in the night.
Nights of sadness, thoughts of people
Friends and lovers that have died.
Nights we pass in tranquil leisure,
Nights we pass in raging lust,
Nights that give us heavenly pleasure,
Nights that last in toil and fast.

Night, my friend, please hearken to wish,
Just give me peace of mind and sound sleep.

AWAKENING TO DREAM TIME

IN THE NIGHT TIME, OF MY DREAMS,
YOU FLOAT TO ME,
GENTLY IN THE NIGHT,
TO BE MY LOVER.

ENTWINED TILL DAWNS GREY LIGHT,
WHEN DREAMS AWAKEN TO REALITY,
BUT FOR THOSE DREAM HOURS,
YOU ARE MINE MY LOVE, AND I YOURS.

MY DREAMS ARE NOT CROWDED,
YOU ALONE HOLD THAT SPACE,
FOR YOU ALONE ENCHANT MY WORLD,
THROUGH THE DREAM HOURS, AND THE AWOKEN ONES.

AS I FALL FROM AWAKE, TO ASLEEP,
I SEE YOU FLOATING TOWARDS ME,
AND I WELCOME SLEEP, AS YOU APPROACH,
TO LOVE ME THROUGH THE DREAM HOURS.

FOR NO PRESENCE, IN SLEEP, OR WAKEFULNESS,
COULD COMFORT ME AS YOU DO,
ENTWINED IN GENTLE LOVE, AND PASSION,
UNTIL AT DAWN, YOU FLOAT AWAY, IN MY AWAKENING.

BUT I FEEL NO GREAT SORROW AT YOUR PARTING,
FOR TONIGHT AS I PREPARE FOR THE DREAM-TIME,
YOU WILL DRIFT TO ME AGAIN, TO BE MY LOVER,
IN THAT DREAMY WHISPERED GENTLENESS, THAT IS OUR LOVE.

AND SOON, SOON, SOON, WE WILL BE TOGETHER,
AND WE WILL LAUGH, AND PLAY, AND LOVE,
IN THE AWAKENED HOURS, AND IN THE DREAM-TIME,
FOR FANTASY ALONE, CANNOT RULE OUR LOVE, IT IS REAL.

Men

Some men can be great fun
life and soul of any party
others are kind and tender
sheltering their loved ones

They come in all shapes and sizes
the outside packaging not mattering
it is what is inside that defines a man
making him either a saint or a sinner

Men can be very controlling
wanting everything their way
jealous of any freedom
insecure in themselves

A man who is steadfast and true
shares with his partner in all
now this type of man is a keeper
so be sure not to lose him

Vain conceited handsome men
will not see what is clear
too busy checking their appearance
to notice what is going on

How ever a man comes is moot
as once the heart is involved
you may as well throw away
the rule book as it is obsolete

Now you guys may not agree
so I will also relate that
women are all of the above
with added twists and turns

You could also accept that as
Eve was made from Adam's rib
women have a definite advantage
when it comes to understanding men
