The Untouchable Lovable Difference

I stopped and talked on a sunny summery day,
with friendly Ron selling the Vagabond
That day I learned what gift means the most.

To smile sweetly, to talk a few, or give a hug,
sharing respect, inclusion, goodness of humanity,
forming a kind connection that all can see.

Still soldiering his days selling the paper,
to make enough to give him food and room.
No fame does he want, but to help when he can.
So, he called for help when the lady couldn’t stand.

Another time, a generous lad helped a driver in need,
What kindness and giving, indeed.
No matter his life condition at the present time.
This panhandler’s quick help was ever so kind.

Everyone makes a difference, even those without a home.
Whether on the street or in a shelter, I see.
They say hello, smile, easily lending a helping hand.
Giving a good example of what we all can be.

Some are so gracious as to clean their tobacco debris
from the store front streets, going above and beyond.
With consideration and thoughtfulness abound.
Open your eyes, and oh, the goodness you can see!

Seemingly at the worst, I have seen some of the best-
that is, the best in heart within humanity.
They cheered me in my times of need, with hearts open, they do.
So much they have when living gratefully, for all they do for me and you.

Think again, the last time one made you smile,
or lifted your heart, as they think more simply.
Offering a wave, some advice, a song or two,
That glorious music at the farmers market zoo.

Others may not be easy to notice, for they’re often not on the corner,
but tucked away at shelter or in a park somewhere.
Maybe they’re in a car or camping out in a quiet place.
Yet, you never know just when they’ll be there to care.

They may even look like any one of us, night or day,
dressed clean and in their personal best – to make a shift
With polite manners, working a job, and being thankful for what is,
moving forward, head held up, still giving love away.

We all make a positive difference, yes sirree.
Many a smile can be shared from people at the worst,
when life is down and they breathe in the humbleness that be.
I am so thankful for the goodness I see.

I am glad to give in what way I can to those in need,
when they have a grateful heart and do all within their ability,
with a smile on their face, and faith in their heart,
sharing joys too as part of the family of humanity.

About this poem:
This poem is one that is extra special to me, for it acknowledges that people at their seemingly worst, are still a valuable, meaningful part of humanity. For instance, anyone in a homeless situation can make a positive difference and some do- many, perhaps!

This is what it means to me, in my experience in Eugene, Oregon. I am grateful that some of our unhoused members are as kind and giving as they are, just as any other- if not more, at times. Perhaps, because they are treated with such grace and respect vs. another locality?

A Hug Today

A hug delights and warms and charms.
It must be why we’re gifted with arms.

Kittens crave them, puppies love them.
Just about everyone loves them!

There is plenty around with a store of ‘em,
The more you give, the more there are of ‘em!

So stretch those arms without delay,
and give someone a hug today!

About this poem:
I was inspired by a similar poem, " A Hug" by an author unknown some time ago. I love affection and it makes such a difference, especially to those who are rarely touched in this world- such as those living on the streets.

The Mysterious God

In the stars I find myself wondering who I am and who I will become. In those moments I find my solice and feel one with the universe that surround me.

In my pain I find my joy that I have been missing and reflect in corners I never ventured before. Those are the moments that I feel I am connected not to people but something above them all.

In there I find meaning in the majestic realm and in myself. What is life I dare ask ?
Is it a spark of light similar to the stars that coat and brighten our nights.. What is the result of our struggles , would all the efforts truly worth the pain in the end?

Well the answers to all human doubt is in those shining stars that existed long before us and were witness to secrets untold. Through eyes of fantasy and only with our mind we can only taste a fragment of that power that gave us life.

God is not human and neither a consequence , it is the imensity of each of those stars in the universe. He is the depth of the darkest seas were in it we find fear but in that depth we also discover mystery that intrigue us to know more.

Therefore we find what God can be in the wierdest of creatures that light up the sea and in the many questions we ask, we are closer to him.

I beleive God resides in our mind constant and strong showing us his wonders pushing us even to the limits . And in that edge of despiration we may find him and in him we can become something more. In that light that was the beginning of us all.

~staged~

Goin thru a moment
That moments in time
Not your's but mine
Not really sure why.

Not a moment to judge
Or take it to trial
A moment that's there
Be gone in a while.

That moment came calling
With no knock on the door
I turned the knob
Let it walk in.

That moment threw a vale of dummin down light
To try to avoid good logic in play
A thought on a mission
A curve in the play.

F_A_N_T_A_S_Y (part 2)

---- gliding spiraling along the floating visions
A morphed creature interpreting each element as it is

"and
as the Spirits fade
- and as Skeins yield to their gold Coloured Crosses
Wouldn't you?
-- - So Please kneel
before i forget you
- you and your faraway Voices
Captioned for impact!
- and Suddenly,
-- there was the Sound of a Mighty rushing breeze..
between the earthbound Seed and the Sycamore
- - fiery amongst the Charged beams"

(scenery changing) …. Protected by her energy spheres
She soared along with the raging waves

"What hopes we keep?
- - if the golden Pages Sheen
gathering their ambulatory hosts
- Could of been you
Wearing Egyptian blue
- as for Yesteryear's funnel Clouds
Pale into retreat
- - raising their industrial arms
So little i am known unto thee
- here,
- - on the blasted Storm of My Summit
it was as if everything that had breath brought Me to you
- the Crystal Sea in kind regards"

(sky darkening) …. Losing sight of her vision
She relied on the beacon of her heart guiding her

"- - and if we Choose to love?
there,
-- underneath the Moisture and Canopy of your ripened breasts
- and if i lift the impenetrable nitrate?
and glower into your rooms
- - for What earthy Sage becomes?
throwing Stones
- if then, we all Correspond with reason?
- - give My regards to God
friend?
by thy Caspian?
quake?"

(thunder and lightning) …. Energy spheres breaking apart
The morphed creature fell deeper into memories lost

"- with breakers Crashing upon the lunar Surface
or by the imperishable bearings of your Purple hips
- is Mine tonight
endlessly destined
- What thing i am hopelessly Struggling towards"
(echoes whisper) …. Drawing closer to the widening blackness
She fell deeply into unwavering slumber

"--- - Purple Muse and the gyrating inflation of her Passing Volume
time after time in an ebb
-- - He raised Lazarus,
See how He loved him?
- and if in the end
Writing on the Wind
--- the overlapping Profusion of these foraging depths"

(warm feeling) …. In his arms she awoken to his caring voice
She had fainted while studying the ancient runes

"for,
- as to love
- it is all that truly Matters."

Stand Strong

Every single step I take
Pushes me till I nearly break
Only one thing left to do
Believe that my heart is true

Falling down happens in life
That's all part of the strife
A battle within must be waged
Like a fine wine as it is aged

Learning is the key to struggle
A fall soon becomes a fumble
Pick it up and keep on walking
Not enough to just keep talking

Words are words, spoken aloud
They are muffled when in a crowd
So shine bright with actions bold
That shows a truer story to be told

Do what needs to be done for the moment
Have no regrets, no need for atonement
For if it comes from the heart, it is right
Let your essence shine ever more bright

Don't look back, not for one second
The road lies ahead, you are beckoned
Grasp the invitation with your hand
For now is the time to make your stand

Not Here, Nor There

I am neither here, nor am I there
My preference is to be everywhere
I don't joke, nor do I like to jest
My goal is to not be like the rest

Categories are made to fit into
My preference is to break those few
Categories follow lines made clear
My goal is to make the path veer

Many try to fit into the fold
My preference is to be bold
Many try to follow the lead
My goal is to be humbly freed

I am neither here, nor there
Paying my own special fare
I am neither dark, nor light
My goal is to shine so bright

Few step aside and let things be
My preference is always to be free
Few step aside and watch it be done
My goal is to stand back and have fun

Awkward moments fill our daily lives
My preference is to take it in strides
Awkward moments paint what is real
My goal is to let my heart feel

I am neither here, nor there
My preference, my soul is bare
I am neither wrong, nor am I right
My goal is just to guide the flight

Live the Moment!

Open your eyes
Open your mind
Cease your cries
Split the rind

Experience it all
Breathe every breath
Jump and fall
Then bypass death

Live for the moment
And try life's flavor
Hope for atonement
In everything, savor

Take my hand
Jump with me down
Don't dare to land
The journey, your crown

Just Be You

You strive so hard to grasp that burning star
Though so close, it eludes your grip with ease
Leaving your hand with naught but a scar
As you try so hard to constantly appease

Your god gazes with that watchful eye
Sometimes you fail and crash to the ground
Tears are shed, for then he will cry
Reaching his hand to turn you around

Try not to obtain a star of the sky
Instead just live one day at a time
Try not to obtain a star so high
And one day that star will chime

That day you will no longer fall down
You will be you, for that is all you are
No need to dwell on worries and frown
You will be you, and that is up to par

Often times we strive to reach the stars, but I have learned that if I focus on just being who I am, the star will reach for me.
