Poets Manifesto

The vision of the nobel heart
should never submit to the
word crushers of sublime dreams~
We poets, we seers of a more
perfect way do subscribe to
a heavenly hope~
We see what can be achieved and
say..why not~
Never mind that the world is
rushing to its destruction
Never mind that evil seems
to be naturally entrenched
into the very psyche and nature
of the course of events~
We dream because the dream is
the hope that a thousand heros
have died for~
We squeeze the truth from every
word as from a fresh yellow lemon,
though sour to the mind it is
sweetened by a yielding heart~
Mountains seem immovable yet we
are not eternally commited to follow
the same laws as do blind rocks~
Sleeping poets must awake to the
call of creations song and contribute
to the lyrics of cosmic wholeness~
In a world of a million chances take
a chance..unearth the ancient dream~
Draw out the deeper meaning of timeless
wounds..and replant paradise in a
despairing world~

Today is you..

Today I write
no poetry
Today the presence
of you is all
I need
Your smile was built
in the house
of wisdom
Your gentle touch
conceived before
the foundation of
the world
Who can tell of such
thing's?
Today this hand in
hand walk with you
is the desire of
the age's
Today I say..
is you~

Silently to Myself

My pure verse is clean, its rhythm - song of candor,
Path of devotion leads to heart.
I'm counting "sores of being" slowly,
One at a time.
A poem is the tomb of poets
(And poets, I suppose, will understand my point).
Last night again I drained white night with vigor,
And now the moon waits patient at my door.

CS Poets..

You are my poetry my
CS friends..
My words mean nothing
if to you I do not send..
My thoughts would fly to
the wind had you not snatched
them in your hand..
You are my receiving hearts
in this magical cyber land..

Unbreakable

Frost weighs heavily atop the firs
Its branches folding beneath
Although taut, they hold steady
Unwilling to break
They remain steadfast

The dawn peeks over the horizon
Though distant
Its warmth will shine upon the icy, unending
Heaviness
The frost shall loosen itself
And melt the heaviness away

Whereas the fir regains its proud stance
It stands taller after the frost
Declaring its refusal to be broken
It shall remain strong with its roots of...
Never backing down.

About this poem:
I had gotten a message very early one morning from a friend who was struggling at work. I wanted to write something to provide inner strength. I wrote this in under 5 minutes to get it to them as soon as possible. They thanked me for the inspiration later on that day. I enjoy writing. I enjoy being there for the people in my life, even if it's just with my creative writing.

Canopy of Green.

Sheltered below, a canopy of green
Sprinkles of light form, can be seen
Rippled leaves, stirred by a breeze
Flutter-shimmer, with natural ease

Confetti patterns, dance as they build
Images fragmented, never being sealed
Changes so rapid, each moment gives
Memories of sunshine, so briefly live

Fresh the feeling, new morning's birth
Sounds of waking, creatures and earth
Alerted slowly, the mind must absorb
Various sounds, ones thoughts mauled

Filed in cubby-holes, waiting a time
Sounds joining vision, forming lines
Building a picture, one cannot yet see
Shielded by leaves, that ripples like sea

Protecting eyes, as ears take control
Bird-song important, warming a soul
Till eyes adjust, to a bright silver day
Gentle not harsh, in filtered sun-rays.

Somewhere in paradise

Somewhere in paradise I'll meet
your loveliness on a golden path
Somewhere where the healing leaves
of the nations florish.. our smiles
shall beam in a lighted city
Somewhere, sometime, my heart
shall love you..forever

Heal me..

I've wearied myself of life
but I live because..I must
At the crossroads there are
no signs to guide me except
an impenetrable divinity that
moves within the essence of
mortal vanity
An unmerciful brutality steps
on the neck of my poetry
yet in spite of this I am
touched of the heavens by
a benign spirit
I am granted a voice of praise
And now I seek no words..only
peace
I rest in the solitude of my
being
In stillness..
In quietness..
In silence..
And by the whisper of a voiceless
spirit..I am healed

Soulfully Yours

Man sifts the earth of
her precious resources..
By sweat and wisdom shall
knowledge be gained..
There must be a word for
the spirit that compells
man to forge onward but
perhaps the word of that
spirit chooses it's
habitation in a vanishing
wind..
And so it is..
And so it is..
An enquiring mind is seeking
for a self revelation.. a
revelation that will connect
all things to itself..
But man is things of flesh
and bone..and he is things
of spirit..
He is bought with a price and
his being is a loan against
time and space..
It goes to the Universal Banker
to recall that loan to dispense
interest's against love or hate..
And so it is..
And so it is..
So, I take the thoughts of my
soul and I must choose whether
to invest in a vast real estate
of vanity..or to give away myself
that the sojourner may feed upon
my crops with no visable profit
to me..
I choose to be yours and lose all
things to myself..
I choose to be..Soulfully Yours~
