Rattle That Cage

I come to
Rattle your cage
Tickle your rage
Gots ma incense sticks & plenty of sage
Don't need no wage
I do this shit for free
Be excused but please don't excuse me
On profane profanity
You call them cursewords of vanity
I call them sentence enhancers
Put the noun to the verb n make them dancers
Be a chancer
Take a risk
Skinny dip n back flip
Reprogram your computer chip
Right n wrong are but perceptions
Being programmed from birth we gotta make exceptions
For those that just don't get it
Those that try but lie cos they always a sweat it
I'm no seer or guru
I drink beer n smokes joints 2 til 2
And far from me to tell anybody how to live or how to be
But I will be me
Bore to ya core
Grind ya face full into the floor
Make ya taste that dust a little more
Until your mind frees n you can see your
Perfect reflection
In everything
In all the world offers n brings
Especially when it shocks n stings
Lessons to embrace
Pay attention don't let em go to waste
Wanting you to see clearer
Always reverting you back to the mirror
Always n in all ways peeling back the veil
Your veils n limescales
The greatest project you'll ever work on is yourself
I Love you baby

About this poem:
The greatest project you’ll ever work on is yourself, point no fingers of blame, three always point back your way, only lessons to garner, lessons to help balance karma, everybody is a teacher, they’re neither friend nor foe, so there’s never any reason to be offended, being offended is a weakness of the ego

SHARING NATURE'S SIGNS.

Freeze frame the moment, love on cue
Mesmerizing spectacle, magnificent too
Staring at peaceful scene, a night sky
Velvet backdrop, stars twinkle on high

Capture the moment, trying to understand
Beauty shines brightly, down upon land
Isolated yet stirring, and so serene
Pinch yourself asking, is this a dream

Nothing detracts, simple beauty of night
Waiting the moon, as if a glowing kite
Follow shooting stars, eyes crystal clear
Hold back emotions, struggle with a tear

Moon hidden momentarily, soon glows again
Halo clad focus, misty like falling rain
Remembering night sky, unique-surreal
Insight of reality, with nature's seal

Imagine strangers watching, a night sky
Sharing the very moment, together sigh
Held in personal memory, waiting a time
Understanding, a night all shared a sign....

To remain in their thoughts, a special time
Wishing into the heavens, they could climb
The magic will never be lost, remaining true
Romantics enjoy every moment, as all lovers do

Spring prayer

At last
From warm words
And random tears
Shed over
Quiet weekdays
Love starts to bloom
Suddenly.
May we breathe it in
And may we forget
To breathe it out .

HOPE

Who can tell, what lifts a normal day
Changing it quickly, to bright from grey
Whatever happens, inner sun warms
Lighting our face, as a smile is born

Hope springs to mind, important too
Every day we wake, HOPE on cue
Changes boring, to an excited path
Fairy dust, for animals and humans cast

HOPE so special, for old and young
Lifts spirits, like a special song sung
Makes normal days, change so quick
In a moments breath, as a clock ticks

Burdens

I shuffle, and stumbled ,my gait missing steps.
My voice just a whisper..my lips they
Do tremble. And on again on again ,oft
Do I go, down to the river slow footed slow. And raising my arms I cried out "set me free" and off of my back my troubles did leave ,into the river , to all that Believe.

About this poem:
This isn't the first time I've written poetry. I like to try and capture my life, my struggles, my joys my laughter. But also emotions stirred up about people, things, places, thoughts, amusement, love and life. It's like art, in written form, hoping to grace my pages with wit, movement, character, clarity, and humor. Sometimes even conditions of the soul.

ONE DAY

ONE DAY trumpets will sound . ONE DAY
The sky will speak with a thunder and ONE DAY will come
When all that is hidden will be seen and ONE DAY the earth will never be the same again.
ONE DAY....

Destiny

Embedded image from another site
If the person is created for you,
It is intended to you by destiny.
How many it would not leave,
It will be with you again.
Remember these words,
Also do not mourn on trifles.
People are brought together only by destiny,
It parts them on corners.

Friendship

When I was in a dark place
lost in depths of sorrow
a bright light glinted at me
gleaming tugging me forward

as slowly my feet dragged me
towards it, it grew and grew
until I reached it at last
and was bathed, washed clean

that light led and guided me
from bitter black despair
surrounding my soul with love
the love of true friends

the light was all of you
reaching out to me
lightening my way
with words of hope

telling me with kindness
never fear we are here
to comfort you and let
me know I am not alone

Not a Loner anymore

Its heart wrecking ..sad and true,
Loneliness I feel that too,
Now because of you,
I'm chasing away my blues,
Last not least I saying Thank you!

TAKING CONTROL.

Being responsible for our lives
Whether solo, husband or wife
Attitude, during every day
Defines outcome, in different ways

Blaming others, for experiences met
Can form a pattern, pathway set
Open thoughts and open heart
Gives a journey, its place to start

Guidance,from childhood helps
Wise counseling, caringly dealt
Till maturity, control is taken
Balanced emotions, not forsaken

Listening to others, can be good
But not blindly, wearing a hood
Hiding positive-negative thoughts
Doubts fester, unhappiness bought

Accepting some, are not friends
Mixed messages, so easily send
Common-sense, obvious route
It's life, outcome must us suit

Trust those, who make us smile
Staying close, over difficult miles
Sharing, good and bad times
In life's storms or sunny fine
