Faith

We believe in God - God's the only One,
With our faith we can understand.
If you keep your faith you will make it right,
Always hold to Hand outstretched.

Never let your faith ever stumble, wobble,
Walk in truth with a steady step.
If you think betrayed, what you think is wrong,
Fix your mind on your soothing faith.

Mind your own true faith, never let it down,
For your faith's like a beacon's light.
There are things we won't ever fathom out,
There are things we will never find.

Faith's a happy land, which we strive to reach,
In our youthful time, olden age.
Do not waver, friend, faith will help withstand
Dreary days, keep your faith intact.

Just a reminder of what we should always be thinking about.
It is an old one, I just polished it a little. Thank you!

A SPECIAL PLACE

Rocky outcrop, forging a path to the sea
Surrounded by ocean, where a solo tree
Stands at the end, single and so alone
Shelter, for rest after thoughtful roam

A place where thoughts and nature mix
Dreams and emotions, can hopefully fix
Inner turmoil, cause of upsets and stress
As sea breezes, magically enfold and caress

Taken on the wind, to spring clean your mind
Flushing your being, refreshed like a sign
An answer for everything, can be sort
Peace and happiness, a gift not bought

For those who have no special place to go
Where thoughts and dreams, to the wind sow
Imagination and peace, allows a special place
Quiet solitude gift, if problems equally faced

Look out..........

There's a hollowness inside of me
Bigger than I can be
It's searching for nourishment
To set myself free

It seeks the billowing sails
Of a yacht on an angry sea
Lunging into the voids
Of a unknown quantity

Or maybe galloping across the desert
On a steed black and fine
Searching for that lost city
Or an oasis full of wine

Climbing rock faces
Without rope or sane in hand
Then diving off them into pools
As deep as they command

Snowboarding down the mountains
Racing Avalanche and will
Mustering tenacity
To get what needs to fill ...........

The lionheart.........

It was just a annual dinner
For the fundraisers and there lot
The seating was prearranged
A mixture of who and what
I had an old fella next to me
Who didn’t mind a drink
And the questions that he asked
Made me stop and think
He was just shy of eighty
With a chuckle you’d admire
And he queried me on everything
As I searched for his desire
But my ears tweaked with intent
As he spoke of his friend
A woman of ninety three
He’d support till the end
They’d been friends for years
And she was nursing home bound
But he visited her everyday
To take her all around
Everyday and in every way
He’d make her life a joy
Never a doubt in his words
No time left to be coy.........

About this poem:
Once, many years ago I read this poem in English lesson. I never forgot. I think this tells about our - most of rhe times - silly behaviour of mankind. Nevertheless, the world is a big challange.

girl from elsewhere

there'll be people on sundays
standing in doorways
praying to statues
they want to believe

her face amongst many
a sunflowered penny
shined by the daylight
lucky to some

her eyes azure curtains
as nothing was certain
a flowering kindness
escaped from her mind

down at the station
her parent's creation
stares at my troubles
and takes them away

folks said they knew her
they hardly saw her
ivory feathers
under her clothes

not of this planet
she dips like a gannet
exiting waters
unswimmed, unsailed

I never.. kept a picture
but her features
are scripture
frescoed tiles

on the walls of my dreams

If Ever

The magic of your eyes is shining from small pic,
Deep inside of the soul it surely does reveal,
The essence of my life is there hiding deep,
For me to search when I'm alone, alone with me.
This photo is explaining world, what is to come,
Love is that wise, your eyes tell me that much,
And it is nonsense when they say that love is blind,
The magic of your eyes tells things invisible to sight.
A mesmerizing state of loving what you are
Is giving sense to days and weeks, and months of mine.
And does it matter if this world turns backwards much?
Should earth change poles it'll matter less than grass,
Cause nothing is more frightful than to lose your love,
To lose this blinking smile of yours in soulful eyes.
Oh dear poet, I respect and honor you so much
For simple poem that's in harmony with mine,
Cause when in love, be even unrequited love,
What's happening to world is no concern of mine.

About this poem:
Again and again when I start writing a comment I am so slow in doing it that my comment gradually grows into a poem. This is as a comment to Fellsman's latest "Just Suppose ..."

Tempted.........

There’s an old rope swing
Hanging off a branch
Under the canopy
And across the way

I can somehow hear the laughter
Of the children’s chance
As it too and fro’s
Within their play

The tired old tyre
Has done a mile or too
The rope frayed
But still strong

It hangs there quietly
Calling my name
Enticing me
Encouraging me to belong .....

Back and Again ........

Once again you rear your ugly head
The pain excruciating i’d rather be dead
I’d followed all the rules and stuck to a plan
Managed my life to lessen the demand
Somehow the body knows when enough is enough
Even though you think and feel super tough
It’s telling you to maybe slow down
The wrinkles on your forehead ain’t necessarily a frown
Time to relax and take a step back
Release life’s coils and enjoy the slack
Realistically though it won’t ever occur
You have an energy that becomes a blur
With it carries all that it can
You are a survivor in a strange land
And to give up everything before your due
Will only dishearten your will to renew..........
