Holding grudges n judges cos it ain't goin their way
Just continue
Being your best you
We really are doin this shit baby
This realm has transformed
All that chaos n destruction let it be performed
And out of the rubble
The best of our essence burstin through this bubble
No try

THE HOPE FOR YOU

I’m not afraid, I just hope
I breathe, I listen and I see
Anxiety, passion and despair
Happiness, love and desire.
Come. But come to stay
Respect what we can have
And I’ll be your sun and you be my moonlight.
Together you’ll be one to grow.
You are whatever you want to be,
But for me it will smell of flower
With perfume of eternal longing.
You have nothing to fear.
Lost in knots of love strings
We are entitled to mad happiness.
Shut my mouth with yours
I’ll lead you to that place
Follow the road, turn in madness
Skirts the pain and goes into 'Love'...
I don’t need you to be eternal
Even if you swear to me in love
I just want to look and be able to trust
Not afraid of the scars of pain
Wipe away the ghosts of the past
And conquer what I’ve always wanted
Open your once-closed heart
Waiting for you, to be happy!

Ranch Woman's Prayer

Dear Lord, I thank Thee for this day
For all the treasure that it holds;
For my family and friends,
And each new trial as it unfolds.

I thank Thee for that man of mine
For the love to ours he shows;
That he can work those endless hours
In pursuing the life we chose.

Thank Thee kindly for letting us
Spend some time upon Thy land;
To raise the crops, the cows and pets
And at times, giving us a hand.

I'm proud to be this rancher's wife
Though it's more work than I had planned;
The days are long, the work is hard,
My hands are weathered, cracked and tanned.

At times you've really tested us
What with troubles, disease and drought;
When our faith begins to weaken
When we lose sight of who's our strength,
Who's our teacher, Lord and beacon.

I really hate to admit it
But, these old bones are getting older;
My muscles stiffen up with work,
And the winters feel much colder.

Lord it was only yesterday
That I was fresh and young and strong;
Just beginning a brand new family,
And teaching right and wrong.

We teach them to respect the land
To tend the animals and such;
And that creations come from Thee,
To teach caring and our hearts to touch.

Now, if our purpose on this earth
Is to prove ourselves unto Thee;
Then please know our mortal frailties,
And please, show some patience unto me.

I know that I am not perfect
But, I've done the best I could;
And, with Thy help, I have lived my life,
Trying to do the things I should.

I figured you were always with me
My silent prayers were always heard;
And it gave me comfort at those times,
To know you heard each muttered word.

Now, if you could, please send some rain
The crops could surely use a soaking;
And bless us with a sense of humor,
So that our hearts aren't warped or broken.

And please let the sun come up tomorrow
So I may start a brand new day;
With my family upon this land,
While never from good judgement stray.

Thank you for taking me by the hand
Helping me through those days that been;
Thanks for listening, it always helps,
For now, Lord, I'll just say AMEN.

Life is not a poem

Life is not a poem that
makes a perfect rhyme
Our heart is ever a mystery
that puzzles our natural
mind
We seek meaning from without
from a thousand shifting winds
Enlightened by our virtues and
captive to our sins
Shot through and through with
confusion as each war can testify
It's the reason we dread the morning
and why the starving child does cry
O, we hope some genius comes along
or some philosopher with special wit
With them we'll put our trust when at
their feet we'll sit
But as this old world keeps on turning
We pray someone reviews our case
It's then that still small voice whispers,
'It's all a test of faith.'

EYES NEVER LIE

EVER BEEN IN A RELATIONSHIP WHERE YOUR HONEY AT THE TIME TALKS TO YOU BUT LOOKS AS IF HE"S LOOKING FOR A BRAND NEW DAY? THAT"S THE SIGNAL TO TELL HIM; YOU"D HAVE MORE FUN MOWING YOUR LAWN; TURN AROUND ; AND WALK AWAY! EVER NOTICE CASHIERS IN A STORE WHO SHOULD ALWAYS HAVE THEIR EYES GLUED TO YOU BUT INSTEAD, CHOOSE TO SERVE YOU WHILE TALKING ON THE PHONE? JUST TELL THEM; I FIND YOU DISRESPECTFUL! I CAME HERE ONCE; BUT NEVER AGAIN; AND MAKE YOUR WAY HOME! YOUR EYES TELL A STORY; WHETHER IT BE; LAUGHING, CHEATING, AN ULTIMATE BEATING; OR PAVE THE WAY TO A FUTURISTIC GLORY; THE EYES NEVER LIE! EITHER LOOK AT EACH OTHER STRAIGHT; OR GET READY TO DIE!

After the disaster
my heartbreaks,
Simply struck

These are moments
I awake!
Surprising me past timeNspace.

About this poem:
The term aesthetic arrest was first used by James Joyce in his book A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man. The philosopher, historian and theologian Joseph Campbell, also a Joyce scholar, explained aesthetic arrest as,"A simple beholding of the object... you experience a radiance. You are held in aesthetic arrest. This radiance, the perception of beauty, is regarded as a communication of the hidden power behind the world, shining through some physical form."

Waiting

How long is too long when the journey seem endless
When the odds are not in my favor, but I keep falling victim to time
Patience and grace will test your ability to call a truce
Is there an end to my waiting or is it a callous to my compromise?
Staying seem pointless, I ask myself can humanity triumph over pain?
I get absorbed with the misfortune of waiting it seems like a waste
Time waits for no one and we can never regain what’s lost
Resisting the fate of loosing is weaving its destructive path
I’m haunted by smiles on your face and the frowns in mine
The truth lies within, so I must make a choice
When I find my way back from this time wart, I will find my way back home
