don't pretend
like you never felt
the depth and sting
of my pain
you painted my sorrows
in bleeding colors
with your raw hands
and dig in my flesh
like sheared talons
I begged all the angels
to redeem me
but even them looked
too drugged in your vanity
stark naked in the shadow
even the moon lit up
your punitive piercing eyes
crushing my pride
and as the night bathed
in my shattered soul
redemption, you laughed
is but a figment
of the mind of a fool
I will remain shackled
in the claw of your
cold and unforgiving world
but giving up
is no longer my choice
I will find my way out
I will.

I see the beauty in everything
As simple........... as a pear
The vibrance of the colours
Flowers....... they do wear
The clouds floating listfully
Without worry...... or a care
The richness...... of a smile
From the lady who would share
The kids...... in the creek
With mud through their hair
The song ...of birds
Awakening your stare
Music that entices
Calling.. you there
Words that are written
With ....amazing flair
All apart of everything
I........... would dare
Opening... up my mind
To make me more aware

Old man I see you there
Dual walking sticks to help you care
And still you soldier on
Your grit and determination
Is your resolve and my education
And still you soldier on
Your daily grind along the beach
Seems to me so out of reach
And still you soldier on
With intrigue and respect I have to share
Words of thought of your despair
And still you soldier on
I'm 73 can't you see
And my feet just don't want to be
But still I'll soldier on ............

About this poem:
This old fella's determination just amazed me ..........losing the feelings in his feet he would walk approximately 2 kms along the soft sand with these walking sticks every day

Too many buttons to push;
too much effort maintaining
a 2016 tush;
Too much
Too little
Too late;
It all boils down
to wisdom and faith.

I went to Woodbine Golf and shot a 52
Then I shopped in downtown Galena
I got a chocolate covered brownie
Four chocolate chip cookies
A pen
Then I went to McDonald's and got three cheeseburgers with extra pickles
I went up to Muscoda after that and looked for some morels to buy
The cop said I was a week early as there wasn't any morels to buy yet
I bought some cheesy ranch popcorn at Rural Route Popcorn in Monfort
Then I shot a game of pool at a bar I used to play pool at
The two guys I used to play pool with
One is in prison for shooting a guy and killing him
The other lost his eye sight to diabetes and is living in Monroe
I finished up my day coming to the library and writing this poem
The end

I believe that we are all creative gifted people in one way or another.
Some may appear more gifted than others
And some may seem to have not yet found their forte
Many may have not ever been encouraged, praised...told well done, that's great !
So have little self-worth, not enough confidence to try.
Or, to reveal their self belief, capability.
Thankfully we are never too young or too old to flourish, to excel.
Creativity can always be birthed in new exciting ways from us all !
And new horizon's await .
Therefore it’s never too early or too late !

I heard the angels singing above
Calling out their message of love
The mountains trembled and the skies rumbled
the seas danced with fury
as the clouds marched in a hurry
A great light shattered through the night as an angel
with silver wings took flight
She was so beautiful to me with fire and full of desire
Yet, only to offer healing to a world that lost its way.
She said unto me, "beloved of the earth always know you are loved and cared for each day.
Take not the things pure and good of this life for granted for it will one day fade
Hide not your love for each other for everyone is your sister and brother
Though you may feel at times your prayers may not be answered
They are always noted in the heavens written with each breath you take for his namesake
Oh the heavens hear your petitions and your inner thoughts
Some noble others for naught
Many cry of being surrounded and yet alone
You are only alone when you build your walls of doubt and offer petty little pouts
The day shall come when the heavens shall answer
The king shall call to his own to welcome them home
All are called but few choose to listen mostly because they can't hear between the noise of their own groaning.
But don't despair for there is always someone who cares
We may complain that life is unfair as the burdens we carry are unique and heavy to bear
They shall pass in time and life goes on and the weather shall be fair.
Hold onto your friends and family and to the ones who care
One day you will need them to be there
Push not away the hand that feeds you nor the arms that embrace you
Yet, how often does everyone do so.
For all the things we seek we shall find if we look in the right place as long as we don't give up on the race

Between lines, you intended to read
Incase it's painful, no need to proceed
Yet sometimes, we should simply ask
Before we assume, and a net caste
Holds our thoughts, under control
Sadly just thoughts, without soul
Possibilities, not in stone but ice
Changing quickly, as rolling a dice
Maybe it's us, who hastily chose
Route to follow, instead of pose
Waiting outcome, gradual steps
Built a wall, quickly inside leapt

Dawn walks in blue and diamonds
in robes of darkest grain
wind-parted
Sleeping she looked
like a river
Like a river
at dawn,
silver
sliver
of moon, wind
in poplars, flickering
of a candle that grows
imperceptibly
taller as it burns
Manacled girl
naked
surrounded
by flames, gigantic
rose
of painless fire—
Now I have passed through
voice and fire
could I be cleansed
of all
desire,
I don’t think so
Icon: cold gold telepathic eyes
Sacrament of metaphor, sacrament of matter
Aren’t stars almost in your vicinity
It was only the barest beginning starward-
bound, only the March branches, only
the first gifts of the first awakening
waiting
forever
to be born…
Dawn walked in blue and diamonds.

Time
wind my spirit
to weaving of the kelp in the ocean front
neither tossed nor torn
faultless
Time
define my days
as washed sand in tides ever passing
neither rage nor reckon
eternal
