Believe

For every moment we smile
A flower blossoms somewhere
Hope grows from beneath the earth
And our dreams flitter through the air

For every moment we believe
Our hearts feel the rythym of the sea
Our skin is kissed by the winds of change
Our voice a sweet melody

For every moment that we seek
We learn, we grow, we feel
A chance opens for us, just in our name
What's possible was once unreal

For in every moment
That we choose to live life
We are blessed in all that can be
A miracle moves forth,
And the sunlight shines through
And our minds...our thoughts set free

Dustbin

My dustbin is dirty it needs a clean

I cover it with grass it can't be seen

Sweaty food Makes the maggots fat

The birds can eradicate that

I like to see them getting fat .

Paradise

Crystal dewdrops sparkle in the sun
As dawns gentle colors unfold
Sweet scented breath of velvet flowers
Secrets of paradise untold

Mysterious mountains draw my gaze
Majestic, Magnetic, Refined
Silky waters caress my skin
Natures beauty tempts and teases my mind

Kaleidoscope of a thousand colored wings
Dancing glorious and free
Tweeting chorus of tiny featured friends
Singing in blissful harmony

I am lost in a world where diamonds shower down
Carving pebbles and rocks in their way
And trees laugh as they race up to the clear blue sky
Sunshiny happiness fills my soul this day

Let me stay lost from this moment in time
Forever in beauty I'll be
For such life is blessed, no coins, no gems
The richest pauper is me

RELEASING DREAMS.....

Dreams.....mystical hopes, long to own
From all the wishes, through life sown
Anticipation, what reality can become
Special happiness, under warming sun

Secret hopes, able to finally escape
No longer hidden, heavy clouds draped
Admitted with words, exploding truth
Actions-confirmation, sealing proof

Time to prepare, release dreams
Hopes of a future, unique-supreme
Till treasure chest, of dreams spill
Way forward, with faith finally seal

The Birds They Are-A-Chirpin'

The Birds They Are-A-Chirpin'
The Dawn Has Not Yet Broke
The Spring Is Now A-Bloomin'
To Those Who Just A-Woke

We Splash Our Face With Water
And Brush Our Teeth 'n Hair
We Look Into The Mirror
Before We Say Our Prayer

That Inner Voice Is Calling
He Has Inclined His Ear
We Read Our Bible Verses
And Now We Have No Fear

The Dash

---- IMAGE REMOVED because photobucket.com no longer allows embedded images ----

" The Dash "

August 1933 - May 2010
" Our Beloved Father "
Is what the tombstone read
If I could talk to him today
I wondered what he would say
Did he live a life of regret
Or live it fully all the way
What a life, an adventure
This person must have lived
All that he's seen, all that he did
But this date spoke to me in ways
only a soul could truly hear
So I listened with my heart
and not with my ears
The dash in the middle
is where the journey begins
Not the born on date
and surely not where it ends
For what you do in between
defines who we are
And where we'll ascend
to be one with the stars
So when I lie down in my bed
am I grateful for the day
And when I'm finally at rest
Will I have a smile on my face
Engraved on my headstone
I hope it will read
Forever loved and remembered
until eternity

About this poem:
One life is all we have and we live it as we believe in living it. But to sacrifice what you are and to live without belief, that is a fate more terrible than dying.

The Artist

---- IMAGE REMOVED because photobucket.com no longer allows embedded images ----
" The Artist "

When an emotion
has found its thought
And the thought
has found its words
Poetry becomes a feeling
unlocking the universe
So it was there at the cursor
that I stared blankly for a while
In search of inspiration
but instead I fell
without a smile
It was at that moment I realized
let the world become the artist
So that I am but a thought
she is creating on a canvas
And with every stroke of her brush
a new thought had found its way
Expressions of firey gold
some dismal and some gray
Stratus clouds roll lazily through blue
reigning yellow beams of light
A descending stairway to the heavens
from a melting hot sunrise
Shining bright above
the mountain tops
Reflecting from the oceans tides
Piercing through the blackened forests
of infinite and hopeless sighs
Looking deeper into the abyss
of chaos and all it's hell inside
Where there is a deeper beauty
that only ones soul can yet describe
It was there she laid her palette down
and stared far into those endless nights
Where emotions have found their words
and poetry has found it's life

About this poem:
A good friend asked me recently to teach her poetry. Rather she was serious or not I really didn't know what to say, so I quoted her something from Robert Frost which I also opened this verse with.
Plutarch said " Painting is silent poetry, and poetry is painting that speaks "
I dont consider myself a poet, just some guy who uses his pen as a paddle and the currents as my guide. What is poetry to you ?.. Cheers cheers

Atrabilious

Embedded image from another site

" Atrabilious "

I've tasted many emotions
Not one I've left to spare
The bitterness of agony
Harsh vodka with despair
There's the fermented taste of emptiness
Left inside emptied cans of beer
Cheap in all its subtle ways
Engaging all my agoraphobic gears
Anger oddly leaves a sweetened taste
And yet joy taste like the rain
With a very unspecific smell
But in its beauty I'll find Grace
Worry taste like sand
Not adding a single hour to my days
But instead consumes like fire
Inhaling me like a purple haze
Loneliness is flavored tequila
As I chase it down with bottled rage
Inside my gut it twist and cuts
Until im drinking from my hate
Confused, concerned, confined
Desensitized to every touch
My angels subside behind my eyes
Where my demons have their clutch
But only love can taste like water
Without nutrients to quench my bones
As it evaporates into the air
I find myself again standing alone
But never have I tasted peace
Only over flowing cups of war
Between man or beast, against my flesh
And for my God I kneel before
Where I've compassed my own destruction
Its to Your stars I'm looking up
To ask You for their guidance
And to please refill my cup

Wondrous Dreams

Embedded image from another site

" Wondrous Dreams "

I dream of wondrous angels
but yet I live in fear
Behind a million blackened stars
my conscious disappears
Into a kaleidoscope
of asymmetric
trichromatic rings
Enigmatic circles
formed by colliding galaxies
On the axiom of forever
teaching thyself praxeology
I blow away the monster ash
with a sound sagacity
So shall I dare to dream
into your wild wild world
Where emerald burns
a fire that consumes the universe
When morning wisdom reveals its glory
by rejecting scientific proof
With a treasure of her rainbow highs
I find I'm fading Into you
So shy away the darkened clouds
of melancholic dismal life
Enlighten me with wondrous dreams
oh faithful winds of night
With a song of eternal peace
in hope is where I shall learn to die
Silently into your wild world
below your starry skies
Before I awake into a new dream
I spoke the language of your perfect light
Deeply inside the precious flowers
beneath the liquid sunset of your eyes
