A Thousand Stars

Haunting quarter moon, eerie and bright
Shines above tree line, clear and white
Breath-taking beauty, you've seen before
Mesmerizing-hypnotic, with mystic core

Surrounded by night sky, drawing eyes
Its crystal beauty, dominants the skies
Only a thousand stars, balance in awe
Captivating night sky, where dreams soar

Peace to a universe, completing a scene
Lighting its beauty, sleepy and serene
None can deny, the magical atmosphere
Not just lovers, will shed human tears

CAST YOUR BREAD UPON THE WATER

CAST YOUR BREAD UPON THE WATER

Cast your bread upon the water
And it shall return to you,
Twenty fold, thirty fold, or just a crumb or two.
For a man must lie in the bed he makes,
And reap the seed he sows,
If he can't learn to give and take
Each day his bitterness grows.

Cast your bread upon he water
Whether you be rich or poor.
If a man is a man, he never will keep score
Of the times that he has been mocked or shamed
For wealth or poverty,
Or others sins when he was blamed,
He'll still not act spitefully.

Cast your bread upon the water
Heart and soul of one accord.
When you give, never give just to get a reward.
Be a friend of him who will need a friend
Regardless of his skin,
For all our hopes and wishes blend,
And every man is your kin.

NEED TO TOUCH

Through the sleet, I see the scene
Misty grey, with highlights of green
Dull feeling, rain stings my cheeks
Hints of lights, around clouds peek

In isolated place, alone yet free
Allowed to consider, what I can see
Dips in hillside, where skyline waits
Beckoning to eyes, as if luring fate

Walk into unknown, where dreams hover
Safe to know, the mist won't bother
Allow you to see ahead, need to touch
Plans built slowly, yet wanted so much

City nights and Street lights

City nights and street lights
Turn the key indicators on
Not remembering where I am coming from
Street lights lead the way
Red to green and I have moved on
Window down radio on
Sounds from the streets
The cry’s of laughter as people meet

I take a deep breath
I feel the it all around
I am embraced by the city that was once a town
This is the city that inspired my sound

Car parked camera on
Filmed while parking your car
But not when we run the streets with a gun
This is my city it is not always fun

I take a deep breath
I feel the it all around
I am embraced by the city that was once a town
This is the city that inspired my sound

Walking now street life is gripped by the night
A cluster of red spikes reach upwards to the skies
Silent only the lapping sound of water to be found
A man's castle stands under a bridge
Amongst graffitied tapestry explosive urban art
Poised delicately on a Stone Ridge
A lost prince of homelessness
To which this city plays an unmoved part

I stand l look I see a city that accepts me
I take a deep breath
I feel the it all around
I am embraced by the city that was once a town
This is the city that inspired my sound

Street lights urban nights
Green to red traffic lights
Indicators on many turns to take
The is vibrant full of life under the bright street lights
Indicators on no turn to take it is time to hit the break

I take a deep breath
I feel the it all around
I am embraced by the city that was once a town
This is the city that inspired my sound

Peacefulness

Peacefulness truly leads to happiness.
Peacefulness brings about total bliss.
Peacefulness is forgiveness.
Peacefulness feels the best.
Peacefulness found in ones heart
and soul. Soft to others is a
way to start. Peacefulness is a
BLESSING. True serenity.
Living your life with no more strive.
Peacefulness is a sunny day when
every thing is gentle in
every way.

Arrows

" Arrows "

My complaints
were like arrows
That reigned
on my head
Shot aimless
without targets
Like piled books
of regrets
Thousands of pages
Still closed
and unread
Incomplete verses
and sentences
From my pen
they have bled
The arrows
shadowed the sun
As if a storm
yet to come
There I defended
my faith
With an empty shotgun
Reminding me
I'm imperfect
I've had my share
of my sins
And now I've grown older
putting those things
to an end
But impurity
doesn't kill knowledge
Nor the wisdom
I'll gain
Only my need
for enduring
And my pride
It has slain
Now my caterpillars
have all died
But my butterflies
came to life
A woolly bear
became the moth
And was drawn
to Your light
Where I skinned my knees
on forever
At the threshold
of infinite nights
Pink clouds
bloomed like wild flowers
Igniting
my skies
Then they ate
all the black ones
While I licked
the rest clean
Again I shot my arrows
with new faith
And with grace
they grew wings

soft

Soft is a kitten all
fuzzy and new. Soft is
a baby in blue.

Soft is the love I'm
sending you. Soft is the
sky filled with sun. Warm
and filled with fun.

Soft is a hug you can't
stop. It is the birds that
fly atop.

Soft is a romance.
It' taking that chance.
Soft is a joyful dance.
Soft makes you feel
all comfy and warm.

Soft is laughter. Or
a newly wedded couple.
living Happy ever after.

Soft is you and I together
during a rain fall. You can
find softness everywhere.
Soft is you and me. Anyone
can see. I chose to use
only soft words. And not
too much others that harm.
Yes softness can be anywhere.
Soft I will always wear.

A Lesson Learned in Life

Not everyone has the same heart as you
A lesson learned in life
To name but a few
Is it our genes that map ones persona?
Or is it heartbreak, pain and grief
resembling that of Desdemona?
In a world full of hatred
I hope to make a difference
Even if it’s minute
A smile, a kind word
All of it is sacred
In your lifetime someone will inspire you
Follow in their footsteps
A legacy to aspire to
Not everyone has the same heart as you
A lesson learned in life, sad but true.
