Dear God
Thank You

THE MULCH MAN

IT"S SO HOT OUTSIDE; BUT IN SPITE OF THAT; I MAKE MY WAY, TO THE BOULEVARD; TO FEED, ONE STRAY CAT! I SEND MY THANX, TO THE MOST HIGH;FOR I SEE BEAUTIFUL TREES LINED UP; ALMOST COVERING THE SKY!DOWN THE STREET, I SEE A MAN; DRAGGING A HUGE BAG! HE"S STOPPING AT EACH TREE! I MUST GET A BETTER LOOK;AND HOPE THAT , HE DOESN"T SEE ME! HE"S SPREADING MULCH; AND TO THAT, I SEE NO WRONG;FOR IT MAKES THE TREES, GROW, BIG AND STRONG!I HAD TO ASK HIM;SIR; WHATS MAKES YOU DO THIS? CERTAINLY NOT FOR THE LOW PAY? HE ANSWERED;WHAT I CAN DO, FOR THE DOWN, AND OUT;AND EVERYDAY PEOPLE FIND SOME SHADE;AND HOPE THAT ONE DAY; THE HEAVENS WILL TELL ME; I HAVE IT MADE! I"M MAKING, THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE; IT MEANS MORE; THAN MONEY AND FAME! I HAVE A PURPOSE IN LIFE; AND THAT TO ME IS; THE NAME OF THE GAME!

Back to the Future

The cockroaches scurried across the floor
What, she told herself, is there, more

Must we marry for circumstance
Or give love a chance

Love is always put aside
For expensive things and a fancy ride

What life can be lived so long
Side by side with someone so wrong

Today it's the same
Grasping for borrowed fame

When will we open our eyes
Touch hearts and stop all trace of lies

We'll say things we really mean
Go back to nature, bodies lean

Thunder and lightning may erupt but not scare
Naked dancing while unaware

The vermin may forever crawl our floors
But together we do our chores

To love as time started
Before hate, power, greed and shallow waters had us parted.

About this poem:
It's amazing that I've been so inspired to write poetry lately when I'm in such a hurry to get artwork done lol But have been watching Jane Austen movies lately...

Compared to how screwed up love was back then, when all that mattered in the most part, was a man or woman's fortune...

While today is the way they look, and how skinny they've become, or how emptily famous. We haven't changed, not really. I'd love if all went back before fame, fortune and air brushed playboy models made impressions on our world wide cultures...

I'd like to go back there, when a man would look at a woman and simply love. Not because she had money or could fit into a size 2, but because she was simply...herself.

And vice versa...so I've decided not to let myself accept anything less.

I want to be...

I want to be u sun
To warm u in the morning.

I want to be u air
To breath me in the morning.

I want to be the water
To drink me when u thirsty.

I want to be u food
To eat me when u are hungry.

I want to be u pillow
To put u head on me.

I want to be u blanket
To warm u all.

When

When I open my eyes in the morning
It comes in my mind u voice.

If I close my eyes I see
Your soft face,conturated in air.

I see u comeing towards me
Walking with grace.

I hear u tender whispers ,
And I magine u are near me.

~Maybe I'm wrong~

I open my ears
See through my eyes
Feel with my heart
Keep simple mind.

Yet the record seems broken
In the where about's of y'all.

Geographical placement
Can't make you immune
It's a time that's found place
With handle like bars.

The past one hundred
Leaps upon bounds
Not privy to us
Wise elders they watch.

Key cards arranged
Passaged by code
Each day passes
Turmoiled unrest.

While the next card
Desired
By those one's
Passing days.

There was a time when we asked
What our purpose is here
I'd thought for a time
A place to behold.

I ventured our new ways
Think I didn't like it much
It was way off the wall
A friend, with no touch.

About this poem:
At times of think of where we are going with technology at the helm, that we all subscribe too. As I see this the life I knew of good friends and good social has only a place to show in our wake. I may be wrong, yet I know I'm right.

LIFE

poured a glass of life and drunk half
got a phone call from possibilities
and a knock on the door from reality
but my best friend faith texted me
and had a date with adventure
and slept with my dream
and awoken by determination hitting my door
letting me know fear and failure was looking for me
but I'm not worried because my friends
journey and work ethic and focus will kick
fear and failure's a**!

God's Melody

In God’s Creative Plan we are like musical notes
Each of us plays a special part that he wrote
Jesus is our Savior and the musical staff
Overseeing and guiding us along life’s path

And if one note drops and the music goes flat
He will always lovingly to the line guide us back
To play our part in God’s beautiful melody
As the music plays on and on for all Eternity

About this poem:
At my old church they had a fund drive to repair the old organ. As part of the drive, you could "buy" a stain glass musical note in memory of a loved one that passed away. I "bought" one in memory of my Mom and these notes are displayed in between a glass window in the church with tiny gold plates above the notes with the person's name that the note is in memory of. This inspired me to write this poem.

Time

BOMBS ARE MADE,
TIME HAS CHANGED,
WHAT WE LOST
WE REMEMBER,
WHAT WE REMEMBER,
WE HAVE FOREVER.
