Love's Not Diminished

Love's Not Diminished

You were my child here below,
But now immortal as I grow old,
For I have slowly come to know,
In little glimpses that unfold.

You were taken to be protected,
And are with family up above,
So I am glad you weren't infected
And live within the greatest love.

The years stretch out so very long,
But yesterday's always the day you left
And I have found that I am strong,
For Jesus saves from feeling bereft.

In Him I know it is still unfinished,
And I will hold the one who I miss,
Though years pass,love's not diminished,
For it is a chain anchored in bliss.

About this poem:
"The years have passed but the love not diminished.< Barbara
That's because the other end of that love is anchored in Heaven" < me
Barbara posted the first line in a graphic image on her grieving site
and when I read it,the next line instantly jumped into my head which I responded with. Then I 'had' to write this poem.
All of the above is my intellectual property.

The Painful Wail

Consumed with grief I am, I get relief in no way
O circumambient waters of the Ganges drown me

Our land foments excessive mutual enmity
What unity ! Our closeness harbors separation

Enmity instead of sincerity is outrageous
Enmity among the same barn’s grains is outrageous

If the brotherly breeze has not entered in a garden
No pleasure can be derived from songs in that garden

Though I exceedingly love the real closeness
I am upset by the mixing of waves and the shore

The miraculous poet is like the grain from the barn
The grain has no existence if there is no barn

How can beauty unveil itself if no one is anxious for sight
Lighting of the candle is meaningless if there is no assembly

Why does the taste for speech not change to silence
Why does this brilliance not appear out from my mirror

Alas! My tongue poured its speech down
When war’s fire had burnt the garden down

LOVE AND DEATH

LOVE AND DEATH (Adapted From Lord Alfred Tennyson)

The hour of the Universe' appearance was charming
The flower-bud of life was showering smiles

Here the golden crown, the sun was getting
There the moon its moon-light was getting

The dark gown to the night was being given
Training of brightness to stars was being given

The Existence's branch was getting leaves here
The bud of life was bursting out there

The angels were teaching weeping to the dew
For the first time the rose was laughing

They were conferring pathos on the poet's heart
Khudi for the wine of Bekhudi was pining 2

For the first time dark black clouds were appearing
As if some Houri of Paradise with open hair was standing

The earth was claiming elegance of the sky
The space was claiming to be boundless

In short so beautiful the sight was
That seeing it in itself a panorama was

The angels their flying powers were testing
Eternal lights from their foreheads were appearing

An angel called Love there was
Whose guidance everyone's hope was

The angel who the embodiment of restlessness was
Angel among angels and restless like mercury he was

He was going towards the Paradise for a stroll
He met death on its way by the destiny's roll

He asked death, "What is the name and work of yours?
I do not want to encounter the face of yours"

Hearing this said the angel of death
"My work is clear, I am the angel of death

I shatter the chattels of existence
I extinguish the spark of life

The magic of annihilation is in my eyes
The message of destruction is its symbol

But there is one entity in the Universe
It is fire, I am only mercury before it

It lives in the human heart as a spark
It is the darling of the Divine Light

It constantly drips as tears from the eyes
The tears whose bitterness is tolerable"

When Love heard this from the death's lips ,
Laughter started appearing from its lips

The thunder of such smile descended on death
How can darkness stay in front of such light?

On seeing eternity to death it fell
Death it was, to death it fell.

Pulling You Down

For the loss you have
had under these
circumstances.
My christian sister
i am so sorry.
For the headaches
that you feel and
darkness that over
whelms you pulling
you under.
I want to lift you
up i want to be there
if you need me.
I am sorry for all
that was taken from you.
For you deserve all
that you dream may
it come true.

What other road

What other road could I’ve taken?
Thorns were strewn on each!
Relationships over,
friends of centuries
gone one by one,
alone,
whichever road and
whatever direction I took
my feet were bloodied.
Those who see me
wonder what am I trying to imply
by colouring my feet?
They used to say
why am I complaining
needlessly
about the loss of friendship;
Go, wash my feet.
Where these road end
hundreds more will open up,
keep your spirit up
your heart will blunt
hundreds of swords!

Nations of America

The sorrowful day of 9/11
The day that America was brought together
That is what we are
We are a Nation
Divided but together
Nothing will seperat us
Our Faith
Our Love
Our Compassion
For our nation is the purpose we recognize 9/11
Every year, 9/11 is our day we come together
For we are America
We will not fall
We pray for those in the Towers
Our Faith will keep us as one
In our hearts
We hurt as one
We hope as one
We will always come together for our people
No matter how divided we are
We are always one
We are always together
This nation will not fall
Our nation will only grow stronger
In every way, we will become more united
America is who we are
We stand as one
We fight as one
We will mourn as one
But we will never fall
We are America
The nation divided
But never separated
And will always be united.

Lifes Door

Another day, another door,
decisions to make or squander,
wondering what life is really for,
do I stagnate or wander,

Love and friendship roll into one,
time stands still whilst we grow old,
the calamities caused and done,
when young ever so bold,

The next door another chapter,
will it be full of sadness and pain,
praying this one will be full of laughter,
broken love another hearts stain,

Would it be nice to be lifes locksmith,
opening and closing magical doors,
to have those keys would be just the trick,
walking along those red carpeted floors,

But eventually that door we all fear,
the one that shows us the grim reaper,
as we get older it becomes so near,
to rest as another long term sleeper.

Noah

Rain has fallen in deluge
Flooding is the bane of low lands
I would build on a platform to float
And nare be without a boat
My dwelling anchored firmly
Watch houses being swept by
The water recedes and we descend
To settle down in the vista of mud
Surrounded by devastation
Alone in a watery wilderness
Like Noah I have created a legend
Feeling guilty in the triumph of Hubris
I lower the boat and sally forth
There may be some survivors.

The Portrait

The stare of the portrait...
teases me with deep intentions...
See there that youth stands, his beauty preserved like diamond...
And I, like a wrinkled paper, look back at it with eyes of guilt...

The youth poses questions for me...
Asks me answers I never wanted to reveal...
Why my ending moments are so painless?
why instead of peace they are so tensed?

The smile of that youth, is what I dreamt for ages..
That glow in that eyes, is what I washed up with tears
That soft spotless skin, how can he have...
I have all the wealth I ever wanted, but yet
Regrets is what he never had, I have soo many...

See the magic of that youth, I am soo jealous of him..
he is making me cry, a thing I left and forgot years ago..
Someone please tear this protriat, my servant took it away from me...
Yet that eyes and that smile somehow keeps mocking me..

"Burn that portrait" I ordered
So the slave did, yet That smile sacres me...
Those eyes have peace, I lost as I earned
That smile hides answers, I lost as I became proud

Finally the day came he can no longer scare me...
My eyes closes, yet his is opened still
My lips are dry, his filled with love and joy...
HOW CAN IT BE, TILL THE END
IT WAS A LOST DEAD ME WHO SCARED LONG DEAD ME......

Loving Farewell

I never thought you'd leave today-
perhaps a further 'morrow,
but you are gone-all that is left...
a heart heavy with sorrow.

I call your name each time
I return home opening the door,
but I don't see or hear you
welcome me anymore.

You've gone to live with angels,
but I really want you here.
I miss your eyes, your scent-
again I want to hold you near.

You filled my heart with happiness,
you filled my heart with love.
I'll hold you deep inside my heart,
though you have gone above.

I hear your voice calling to me
"Don't cry i love you still.
You filled my life with happiness,
leave you I never will."

Each day passes so slowly,
it will never be the same.
I 'll hold you deep inside my heart,
and there you will remain.

So wear your wings with pride my dear,
you shine just like a star.
for I will love you always
with no matter where you are.
