.........WHY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!........................

When you were born why did you scream and why did you cry????Whats with all the tears??Whats with your fears???You were welcomed with smiles and cheers. So was I but I knew the cheers soon would turn to tears and i''d experience life''s worst fears. Thats why I came out crying cause I knew 6 weeks later my father would be dying. Im writing this 32yrs later and im still crying. Like I said when you were born why did you scream and why did you cry. The reason I did is cause I knew my father was gonna die...

lamplight testimony

On a winters night, stars are cold and bright in the sky.
The slumber of the earth is pure and deep.
From a distant wood drifts the echo of the beast.
The old man stirs and wakens in the night.

He stood before the window gazing at the grave;
Forgotten dreams of passion through his weary mind.
And though his life is empty,
He pretends that she's still there.

With hunger in his soul, he yearns for life and love gone by,
With memories his one and only joy.
And he would gladly give all he had to bring the life,
To raise the one who lies beneath the snow.

He lights a lamp and looks at pictures of the past.
The faces of their youth still glowing with our love.
But the pictures faded...
And time has stolen you away.

With a spoken word that he thought he heard from her lips;
He felt another presence in the room.
He was filled with fear, but filled with joy. He arose.
And turned to face the image that he knew.

She stood before him and her hand reached out for his.
Peaceful light shone in her eyes.
She said "I've come to soothe you'
And that soon we will be as one".

She began to fade, and her image disappeared,
And he was left alone to face another night.
But never in his life had he been so held in awe;
As he faced the apparition of his wife.

He stood before the window gazing at the grave.
And with a lightened heart he saw the first of dawn.
He knew that she was waiting,
And that someday they'd be as one...

About this poem:
this was a difficult write. It brought out quite a diversity of feelings; grief, hopelessness apprehensiveness, excitement, and hope. I love the dramatic properties it possesses. I love sad stories with happy endings. Death is not something to be feared.

life.....

life is like a river.
we have ower good days and we have ower bad days.
the world puts a fork in the road for us to choose what way we want to take but that is up to you to choose.
when we have a baby it is a new life for them to lean and to see what life is about out there.
when someone dies that is way to say that their time is up on earth with us don't morn over them dieing just thanck about what they did in life and rejoyce about the life they had with us.
life is full of ups and downs all it is- is what life wants to us to over come to better owerselfs.

The Poem With No Name

Peace and grace once ruled this place
And an angel held open the door
Now peace is dead, the angel has fled
And grace is a hustling whore

I am sorry to have taken up your time
I was a poem that could never rhyme
It's easy to forget me, just turn the page
I waste away
I waste away

Behold young friends..

I didn't write this...my best friend and I stumbled upon this on accident in a cemetary on a headstone when we were young....it has stuck with us ever since. We also have seen it in other places, after that experience.

Behold young friends as you pass by....
As you were once, as once was I...
As I am now so you shall be...
Prepare for death and follow me....

Husband

Husband died leaving me alive
Sustained by his enduring love for his children
I must be alive
Beautiful are his children to me
And in their beautiful faces I see his beloved eyes
Now in the light of dawn
I feel his peace once more
Down in the depths of my soul I feel him saying with the love you found in me find love in life once more.

Stranger

Ashes to ashes

Dust to dust

He saw my face and in his mind quickly

Lust

Ashes to ashes

Dust to dust

He saw my husband and in his mind quickly

Six feet unda

Ashes to ashes

Dust to dust

He saw my child and in his mind quickly

Torture

Ashes to ashes dust to dust

For me he had lust for my husband hate and for my child rage

Ashes to ashes dust to dust

From steps to steps he took me

From legs to arms to hair and neck

He then knew me

Knew me in ways my husband did not

Knew me in ways my husband dared not dream of

Ashes to ashes dust to dust

For me he had lust and my husband and child they watched with tears

For him it was a must

Ashes to ashes dust to dust

He finished me of and wasted on me then smile and said drink

My last supper the seeds of a man I wish I did not know and my last view my husband’s head turned and my child’s face erased

Ashes to ashes dust to dust

My spirit lingers and he tortured him in agony

First his sight

The cigar DID that

Then his touch

From the wooden fire

Then minced piece by piece

My child he simply looked at laughed and left with it all

My body broken and weary

Done and gone

And father minced as any meat planed for chopped stew

Scheduled Departure

Scheduled Departure

You were here just for a little while
but while you were here you made us smile
and though we're sad because you went away
there is a place craved in our hearts
where you will always stay

Thoughts of you will no doubt keep your memories alive
as well as all you contributed to the world while you were here
and though your spirit has ascended to the other side
the legacy you left behind will forever keep you near

You must have done something special after all
your light undoubtly must have shone bright
just look at all the love being shown towards you
all day, everyday, morning, noon and night

They are expressing their love for you everywhere
from the north, the south, the east and the west
and they all have united with one voice
in saying that you will go down as being the best

Of course there are those who never tried to understand you
they are still trying to drag your name through the mud
but what can you expect from hearts that has been harden
it cannot feel nor know how to recognize love

But that’s enough talk about them right now
a second is to much time spent on them anyway
I pray that in time they will come around
and grab hold onto what you were trying to convey

Now you must know that we could never forget you
we could never, ever regret your stay on this earth
and the message God placed in your heart to give us
will surely cover your faults and showcase your worth

Yes your departure to us may have seem so suddenly
and our hearts moans not being able to say good bye
but may be God had already Scheduled your Departure
dated for when your home was finished on high!

Cry Me A River

Gonna cry me a river
build a boat and sail away
Live out my life on that river
Up until my dying day
Life on this river
I tell you its a living hell
Tears keep flowing,
Gonna watch this river swell

The waters they are growing
Sure glad I built this boat
The banks are overflowing
I just gotta stay afloat
Drift along with the current
Soul survival is what I crave
Hoping it’s not resurgent
Holding on and try to be brave

I’m in for Stormy weather
Try to Stifle all my cries
Tying to Hold it all together
Stop the tears from my Eyes
Life on this river
I tell you its a living hell
Tears keep flowing,
Gonna watch this river swell

On the crest of a big wave
The water’s to the brim
I can sense a watery grave
Please help me, I can’t swim
The depths are cold and dim

Death

Once searching for a meaning
To all life mysteries
Thus to death I stumble
And an answer I seek
For am in disarray
Of my next sleep

Whence through vivid contemplation
Then a meaning I acknowledged
In illusion I grew
And how uneducated I have been
For ignorance is a disease
Through which I have been afflicted

For death is a rebirth
A natural occurrence
To change ones cloak
in continuation of the journey
Towards self

Surpoted by law of motion
uphold by the law of reciprocal action
friendly with cause and effect
Attuned to gravity
All for a meaning
