In Honor Of A Fallen Fellow Officer

Our heroes in a brown shirt
They wear a star upon their chest;
A heart as good as gold,
Beneath a kevlar vest.

They work long, hard hours
For very little pay;
And each night that they leave,
We hit our knees and pray.

Lord look after them
Our deputies of the night;
Give them strength and courage,
To put up a good fight.

Help them catch a running suspect
Put a child abuser behind bars;
Keep a drinking daddy,
From getting in his car.

Give them strength to face the things
That most people never see;
The horrible side of mankind,
That results in such atrocities.

Bring them home to us Lord
Help them shed the burden they bear;
Memories and faces of victims,
That become a living nightmare.

If one night you call them home
Make sure they understand;
They'll always be with us,
Walking hand in hand.

Hate is for Hate

Hate is for
hate
There's no
give and take
It's mean as
a snake
And just as
hard to shake
Hate is a fake
No love will
it take
No deal can
you make
Except drown it
in a lake
Hate is for
hate
It never shows
up late
The only truth
about hate
Is the horror
of its fate..

Friend

slow passing of time
pain that will never end

Friend

decisions never made
choices left to choose
words left to say

I love You

many memories that hurt
thankful to know you
confusing thoughts

Missing hurts

someone up there needed a good friend
and though the pain will never end
they got the best
and I miss you

Friend

About this poem:
This is the final product
this is a work in progress
a sketch
hear the music see the people
dancing swirling and feel the sound of their stomping feet
Rhythems and songs that can only happen the other side of the wake.

Inconsolable

At midnight, in the month of June,
I’m standing in the moonlit gloom,
Gazing at vault, where Love now dwells,
Waiting for shroud of haze unveil.
And she, who once my heart possessed,
Inspired passion, caused unrest
To soul, in cerement is now wrapped,
Bemoaned by heart that seeks its rest,
But all in vain, beside her grave,
Where when a child she used to play,
Where now, alas, she joined array
Of ancestors long gone and dead.
Oh God, was it my fate to wail
And moan at dead beloved’s grave?!
Is this the end or shall we meet again
In what’s to come – in our final days?!

bus hits mountain bike- ouch

it started as a feeeling that something was going to happen today ,riding my mountain bike along the road
impatiant was i not waiting for the red signal to go bye
and waiting for the green signal to let me go bye

i peddled to the padestrian side
got to the central reservation with out a hitch
saw a bus had stopped so i cycles passed it
thought the road was clear i cycled on more

when all of a sudden another bus side impacted me
my bike and i flying in the air
my wrist did impact with the bus sending my wrist around the corner of course

my body lying on the ground my bike at side around me of course
my body in much pain from the impact of the bus
i got up my legs like jelly from the impact of the bus a sledge hammer it felt like cracking my body like a nut

compensension i might seek from my impact with a bus
one thing AM SURE ABOUT DO NOT MESS WITH A MIGHTY BUS THEY DO HURT THE BODY THIS AM SURE ABOUT

Hope

Have you ever felt the solitude
That the darkness of life can bring
Where black an grays are only rude
An no sunlight can ever get in

T'is a place where negativity thrives
An hope is too far away
Has shattered many lives
Never too see another day

What is it that you think
That nothing can ever be done
What is it you need to link
To make you the wholesome one

Reach out an dont despair
For no matter where you land
All around you people care
Just ask for a helping hand

For the first step is the reaching
Then on your way you'll go
For the love that its teaching
Will empower your life to flow

Through the avenues of brightness
To emerge from your state
Surrounding you with lightness
Worldly wise ........Sedate

Lost love

I will not stand in this place and cry
You are not here, you only passed by
I shall not look for you in the setting sun
That is only where our love begun
I no longer look along the lonely shore
It’s only the place that our love did soar
I will not find you in a wind that blows
Cool autumn breeze when I held you close
You won’t be there in the summer rain
And if I look to the heavens, it will be in vein
I know that no matter where I look
I will not find the one God took
But once more I reflect in silent refrain
I know in my heart you will always remain

I Know

Mine isn’t the age for romance,
This I know, this I know, this I know.
I should be sitting, cuddling grandchild,
Mine isn’t the age for romance.

Mine isn’t the age for big love,
This I know, this I know, this I know.
Shouldn’t be looking, striving for such,
Mine isn’t the age for big love.

Mine isn’t the age to make plans
This I know, this I know, this I know.
I should be sitting at ease, biding time,
Mine isn’t the age to make plans.

Mine is the age to be wise,
This I know, this I know, this I know,
Shouldn’t be hoping, hoping for much,
Mine is the age to be wise.

Mine is the age to survive,
This I know, this I know, this I know.
I should be counting days of my life,
Mine is the age to survive.

This is what's left of my life.
This I know, this I know, this I know.
Hopes forsaken and dreams gone by,
This is what's left of my life.

Grandma

The memories will never fade away
Nor will the unending laughter.
You’re up there with Granddad because
Heaven’s angels needed your smile
Words can never really express a person
Especially one that was as unique as you were
The unsettled feeling of your departure has left me;
Confused, sad, lonely and sore
You have found a place even more magical than the last
I hope your journey was a safe one and that you are up there
on that cloud with a Betty Neels book and a glass of baileys,
counting and kissing all the cats you lost.
I know deep down that I will see you again no matter what happens for me when my time here on earth is up, you will be there arms outstretched ready to hug me tight once more.
I love you Grandma
Rest in peace forevermore
