Two i would give to you

As I grow old and frail
feeble I am becoming
my body bones brittle
skin now hangs in folds
legs like sticks all bandy
I sense death he's closing in
soon he will wait no more
the stench tells it all
death my old friend
waiting in the wings
your grinning face
haunts my dreams
silently you wait
knowing I am yours
when the bell toils
you will be the victor
and I? to dust return

About this poem:
death is a subject we all avoid mainly I think because of our own mortality yet its the one sure thing in life after birth sooner or later death is there waiting

Do you remember the day,
When we first met and said hello!
It was 31 Dec at 11.59pm exactly,
Before that we were strangers in the street.
What a day to remember you always,
The one and only love of my life,
Call it fate but I say it differently,
Once in a lifetime miracle for me.
I'm not so much into your past,
It's the future with you I'm thinking about,
To be by your side in sickness and health,
And share in your sorrow and joy.
Do you remember our first kiss?
Another unforgettable time of the year,
A day of celebration throughout the universe,
The day our Lord Jesus was born.
Do you remember our happiest day?
The day we became one as husband and wife,
On the day of the risen Christ,
Easter Sunday our anniversary.
Do you still remember me when you're gone?
In the night of the holy Good Friday,
You slept peacefully into the gate of heaven,
And left me here waiting until we meet again!

About this poem:
just felt it flowing through my mind
but it does not rhyme
somehow the words are just so beautiful to me
By the way ...this is my imagination
I dont have a wife yet
So dont feel so bad that I lost my wife
Its a special write that amazed myself
So dont feel bad coz its frictional.

love now drifts heaven bound
somewhere up there in the ether
one day soon to be re-found
til then the stars shine brighter
their glow lit by your heart
showing me the way to you
I rejoice as when I depart
the path comes into view
back-lit all the way by stars
moonbeams guide me
music plays from sitars
drifting down in time
with my heartbeats
gently I float upwards
never again to be apart
sip wine in heaven's vineyards

Good old Jack, there he sat in front of me
The level slowly dropping, now half empty
Pour another, a loving glance, down the hatch
One after another and still the pain’s there
Oh damn! The bottle is empty, I need more
Stagger across the room to cocktail cabinet
Ah! American Honey and a bottle of Tequila
Both are nearly full, back to the lounge
That song about tequila runs through my mind
One tequila, two tequila, something about floor
Can’t remember, how did the bottle get empty
Don’t remember drinking it all, ah well
Sweet, sweet American Honey, my darling
My face is wet with tears, why do I cry?
I can’t remember, wrack my brain, nothing
And suddenly I realise, I feel no pain

All day I wait for night to come
Everything seems to pass too slowly
Work I hate, I could just scream
Home I need to get, back to you
Even when finally home I get
There are dreary walls around me
It seems that time so slowly moves
Til its time for my head to hit the pillow
And there in sleep we meet again
Again in my arms you are laying
Lips so hot, tender and sweet
And your breath as sweet as honey
All night long our passions rise
Again and again we join as one
Our promised love will never end
We were so young and foolish
Too soon again comes break of day
When dreams fade back to reality
Again I face the day without you
Lost you to a callous drunk driver

my heart is breaking
shattering in pieces
another year alone
how can I bear to go on
to struggle through another year
this time of year hurts so much
as your birthday draws near
eight days older I was to you
once they flew pass
now each is like a year
filled with such pain
the emptiness too much
my soul split in two
times like this
I wish it had been me
how can I go on?
how can I live
in a world without you
such pain is too much
for my soul to bear
my grief is unending
no colours any more
birds I cant hear sing
just a lake of tears
so vast and unending

The sound of the brakes
The splashing of the rain
From that moment on
I knew id never see you again
The crunching of the metal
The pounding of my heart
From that moment on
I knew we were to part
I held you in my arms
"Baby dont go, please fight"
From that moment on
I died with you that night

How's my littlest Angel doing up in heaven?
Do you know how much you are loved and missed?
I hope you only feel, joy and happiness,
and don't look down to see our tears.
We hold you in our hearts forever,
and miss you each and every day.
I hold your mummy, daddy and big brother too
and wish that I could my arms encompass you.
There is a time when I'll be with you,
and wonder at how much you've changed.
Until that day I'll hold you in my dreams,
and keep you in my heart forever.

January 15, 2013 - Dedicated To My Mother, Gayle
I sift through memories once forgotten,
as echoes of “then” fill my mind tonight.
Memories which span our lives together,
flash between those spaces, blindingly bright!
I imagine a sponge absorbs the sickness,
and gathers from you each affected cell.
A sponge to collect every ounce of pain,
laminating you in this living hell.
Sorrow has a name we dare not mention.
A word known by far too many these days.
A word that claims the lives of our loved ones,
after leaving them altered in tragic ways.
Those memories reveal the distant laughter,
which long ago filled me with joy and hope.
I witness you now, mom, struggling to breathe,
to stand, to walk, to find strength and cope.
In spite of it all, you endure with grace,
and I admire your courage with pride.
Some days we don’t have to ask how your are,
your eyes tell the story you can not hide.
There are so many things we’ve finally shared.
Forgiveness has opened love’s blessed door.
The past gets to keep what does not serve us,
so we can say: I couldn’t love you more.
Funny how vivid those memories are.
The ones where you held me, and all was right.
One day they’ll be all I have left of you...
As always, I place you in God’s hands tonight.

About this poem:
I lost my mother late morning saturday on February 23rd. I am doing my best to stay busy, positive and I know it is a better thing that her suffering is over. My heart will heal in time and this deep ache will lighten. Right now I miss her with every part of my being. My thoughts have been focused on her for months now. RIP
