forever

forever... forever can mean a life time or just a single moment. It can bring love and happiness to or it can mean your on the track to find your true love anyway you look at it forever can be broken and taken away. forever can take a life time to achieve or come in a single moment your heart will decide what way it goes no matter how much the pain of life causes you can always find the strength to love again as long as you follow your heart.

Just One More Moment...Please

For your little fragile body
is getting weaker by each day.
A smile planted on your face.
A positive attitude.
Let me help get you through
another moment, another day.
You locks of hair are falling
out in patches.
Teeth turning colors from the
poison entering your body.
A poison you must let in to
save your life.
Pain in your joints and bone.
Pain in every move you make.
Pushing through to see
just one more sunset
Teeth falling out.
My hair is all gone, i am
bald my beauty is fading.
I can barely move.
My breathing is labored i
give up my body to you Lord.
It has been a long hard battle.
God is calling me home to be
one of HIS angels.
My life has been a short one.
I am only 9 years old and have
gone through so much.
Thank you for letting me show
my smile to so many people.
Good bye my family and friends.

one plus one...............

Mirrored souls.... ..a diviness of two
Identical in nature.... but not in you
Thoughts procured ......teleported too
A wholeness of one splitting atoms two

Senses multiplied..... awareness acute
Pain aquired ........will never dilute
Distance......... not a problem though
Feelings spent .....some high some low

Together forever..... within your mold
Not one but two........ of joyous gold
Roaming the countryside..... as a pair
Living a life ..of uniqueness to share

But alas....... ..the alarm bells ring
One's pain is felt the other heart does sting
Too late too late .........to be aware
Destiny's fate .....a journey of prayer

But you lose nothing...... in your mind
Your reflection bound by your mental bind
Keeping it real......... keeping it sane
Keeping your heart from the anguish and pain......

Flight Home.

To pray with Adam and Eve she went
And from that Garden of Eden she began her ascent,
Like a Lark that hovers over fields of wheat
She waited for her siblings to appear beneath her feet,
Remaining in view in that tearful sky
Providing precious time to wave goodbye,
Arms and hands stretch skyward family huddle in a ring
Like naked Winter branches yearning for the Spring,
But she was on her Majestic flight
Like an Eagle gliding past a golden moon that night,
The higher she soared and disappeared from view
The shock and the sorrow to bid her adieu,
For us here on earth left with memories alone
Kate in her splendour had simply flown home.

About this poem:
My Mother in law went to the Church of Adam & Eve in Dublin to pray and was struck by a vehicle on her exit. Sadly she passed away a short time later. I wrote this for the family. The arms in the air are her children desperately trying to pull her back.

For My Wife

You were the Sunshine that lighted up My life.
Gave me hope and dreams to live by.
Always there when needed and caring about me.
So cheerful and out going, able to make friends in a blink of an eye.
Quick to see good in all, able to care about others that had so little.
The days, and nights were always ever so bright with You around.

Then came that time when things turned dark and sorrow.
Cancer came to You and took away the life of one so Wonderful.
Now I find myself left alone without My Love.
Days, nights don't seem way they were before, the light, love of my life is gone.
Now time moves along, yet seems take such long time. Miss You I do and always will.

19 Fire Fighters - June 30, 2013

Strong men. Young men. Brave men, one and all,
left their families to do what they do best.
A fire, a sudden wind gone crazy,
cornered the 19 and laid them to rest.

We can only imagine their fear;
the thoughts that surely raced through each mind.
Families, friends and a nation grieve and share,
the shattered dreams of those left behind.

Tonight we gather and light our candles,
while draping our prayers over those in pain.
We call forth angels of comfort and healing,
for those whose lives will never be the same.

I can lend my arms and speak from the heart.
I can lend my shoulder, or steady their stride.
I can listen and try to understand this,
but my tears are something I cannot hide.

Tonight I stand with dear ones and strangers,
as one of God's soldiers, my resolve strong.
We honor the spirit of each soul lost...
They've come home to you, Lord, where they belong.

About this poem:
The saddness of the last two days is something I can't begin to describe. The details of this horrilbe and tradgic event are etched in my mind. I can't begin to understand what these families and the friends of these men are feeling. I wrote this poem, here and now and share it with heavy heart. I ask for your prayers also for these families. The unborn children who will never know their fathers. I ask for a moment of silence. A moment to reflect and find some gratitude from this day. Make an amends. Tell those you love that you love them. Life is short, precious and unpredictable. Blessed be.

Goodbye my friend

You left so quickly
Didn't have the time to say our goodbyes
All those precious memories shared by enlightened souls

Times we traveled afar to witness Gods beauty glistening in the waters below.
Expressions of color dazzle the eyes below
A rainbow of love
Dancing in pristine waters
Expressions of the Creators love
Swarming as do honey bees
Sparkles of tiny light dancing in the water
Futures to behold. As generations start a new
Shooting stars of amazing colors so do delight!

Till we meet again
I will send you a rainbow of love
Here on earth below

Loss

The pain has gone, but still the sorrow,
reminders of what could have been tomorrow,
your family and trusted friends say,
maybe it is better this way,

You remember her face, the words softly spoken,
the way her eyes shone with loves token,
and what has happened, your greatest fear,
her words echoing Kallis, Kallis, your so dear,

You empty the drawer of her things,
and feel the welt of tears sting,
your heart is gripped with such emotion,
your mind shocks with so much commotion,

Silently you place the items in the case,
come on be brave, dont` lose face,
remember what family and friends say,
maybe it is better this way.

Heaven

Don’t cry when I gone
Cos we just separate for while
Don’t cry when I gone
Cos I need your smile to accompany my journey
Someday we’ll meet again,
Mean while I’ll wait you in my long sleep in here
Then we’ll meet again for sincere eternity of time

twilight alone..........[ 40 word challenge ]

lifetime of love
finally alone
retirement house
or your own home
precious the memories
that line your walls
sharing everything together
that life befalls
you would rather die there
alone in your bed
together forever
from the day you wed.......
