My SiN ...

Early March 59 on the day I was born, I had begun to die
Still the doctor cut the cord and slapped me, to make me cry
I was a breach so some complications snuck their way in
It was the first and last time in my life I was without, a single sin

Time moves so slowly for a child as we grow and learn
Then comes the day where it’s up to us to go out and earn
Now a young man, heading closer to the grim weepers call
At such a young tender age, death seems so distant for us all

Life moves along and I am now a dad, where did the time go?
Death is ever so much closer, creeping up daily, ever so slow
I'm not alone here, some I once knew, the reaper has already taken
When he turns up in my time, I’ll accept, that he is not mistaken

Life is what I live whilst I am waiting for it all to just one day end
Kapow, ding, ding, hey fella this is all he’ll say, it’s your time, friend
I used to think I’d fuss and argue and do all that I could to stay
Now I’d probably just say to him, come on big fella, let’s get on our way

I like you all, was born to die, to feel, to love, to hope and sometimes cry
To live this life I was given too get up, have a go, give it all and just try
I did this whole life thing for a while; I even did it wearing my unique grin
True love has eluded me, I could never find it, I gave up and this is my sin !!

"...AND AS I LAY DYING" 5/17/2014

LYING UPON THE FLOOR, TOUCHING DARKNESS...
I... AM BLEEDING AWAY...
BATHING DEEP, THE THICK FLOW OF BLOOD...
A... CRIMSON SPILT NECTOR...
GAZING UP AT THE CEILING...
WHILE MY SIGHT... FADES AWAY...
AM I TRUELY GOING TO DIE THIS WAY?...
FOR, I SEEM TO BE WAKING UP TO A NIGHTMARE...

I FEEL THE STING... ALL MY PAIN...
COVETING... MY ETERNAL BEING...
SO DEEP WITHIN... THIS VIVID SETTING...
I'M EMBRACING A SCARY UNKNOWN...
I'VE TRIED REACHING OUT TO TOUCH HER HAND...
BUT... OH, FU*K, SHE'S NEVER THERE...
FOR...THE REALITY LIES WITHIN UNCARING PEOPLE...
WHO HELPED CREATE MY HELL... WHICH WILL NOW UNFOLD...

...AND AS I LAY DYING...
I'M SEARCHING TO TOUCH MY ESSENCE, WITHIN MY LOST SOUL...
GAZING AT LOST HOPE...
THE COMING DEATH... OH, ITS BESTOWED...

SHATTERED WITHIN... MY SUFFERING...
FEELING MY HEART TURNING COLD..
UNFOLDING ENTITIES DROP ON BY...
FOR SHAPING THE GREAT UNKNOWN...
ENDLESS DESPAIR... UNENDING FEARS...
COURSE DEEP INSIDE MY HAUNTED DEPTHS...
I'M CALLING OUT TO SEE... DOES SHE COME?...
OH NO... TO HER, I MAY AS WELL BE FOREVER DEAD...

UPON STORMY NIGHTS, I SAT ALONE...
WATCHING... AS THE RAIN CAME POURING STRAIGHT DOWN...
WHILE DWELLING INSIDE... TO AWAKEN MY THOUGHTS...
THOSE DARK WHISPERS INSIDE WERE SO LOUD...

FOR, THE PAIN IN ME... IS WHAT I'VE FOUND...
AND... NEVER DID SHE RETURN TO ME UPON THAT NIGHT...
AND, IN TEARS... I JUST WEPT... FOR I KNEW...
WHERE SHE LAY... I'VE SEEN IT THROUGH MY VERY EYES...

...AHHH... WITHIN MY MIND...

...AND AS I LAY DYING...
DEATH WHISPERS TO ME UPON THIS DARKENING NIGHT...
...AND AS I LAY DYING...
I'LL SOON BE DEAD BENEATH THE DARKENING SKY...

HA... HA... HA... HA... HA... HA... HA...
HA... HA... HA... HA... HA... HA... HA...

Etherium

ETHERIUM
©1995 David Arthur

I ponder long pained eyes upon
Ice silent yesterdays
Mere memories beloved Louise
Cannot my loss allay

An ocean is my love but not enough for you
Whose grace precedes lithe mystic steeds
The winged gods of lore

I wander on bemused withdrawn
In weary wayward ways
In dreary dotard ways
A pious mermidon

Forever is my love not long enough for you
My eternal spirit draws its neverending breath for you

All earthly will dead quiet still
A shade bemoans by day
And dark of night yields not respite
For grief that has no stay

A poem is my love yet not enough for you
Whose soul sublime
Stirs nobler rhyme
From bard's supernal shore

A slow death

life is a slow death
it shortens by each moment each breath
we make many messes
fill our days up with stresses
and what happens after death
is pure conjecture and guesses
so whats the use
if life is but a noose?
tightening everyday
until death is what you pray.
yet the glimmer of hope is still alive
to dream and hope is to thrive
so smile for yet another day
before this life is taken away.

A Selfles Gift of Love

Singing Beach. A haven from the streets of life,
The sound of shell bells, from the cities of
The Sea echo through the salty air, yet heard
Above the splashing of the ocean as it kissed the shoreline
And splashed against the rocks.
Each morn the Porpoise, with slippery limbs and silver form
Would arch above the rolling waves, a bow without
The piercing arrow, then descend to depths unknown,
Screeching, once again in play before heading to the shore.
My simple bow in greeting never could compare to his
Trick of paddling tail, suspending him in air.
His wavering click of screech was his personal form of speech, Yet
I understood and talk of life ensued,
His graceful leap so high and a
Special kinship grew between this fish and I.
one morning, on the sand, beneath suspecting clouds,
I saw the fish afloat.
Weekened by some inner wond
He circled round and round,
His playful screech muffled,
An unfamiliar sound. I waded in the water to comfort, feel and touch
But the fish kept his distance, insisting "nothing much." then
With mustered strength
All for my delight, the fish attempted flight.
He cut into an easy roll,
pure pain to flap his tai and my tears for one so young
Gave way to silent wail.
In the baron wasteland of my heart
A silent chant echo's.

Handkerchief

While watching sunset
Drowning in sea
Every breath of fresh ear
Sun reflections
In blue sea
Collars
Sink inside me
Awakening hope
Waves as handkerchief
In distance

Is that beloved waving ?
Is it my mother?
Or brother?
Or sister?

I am feeling as passing
Image
Caught
In immortal circle of mortal pain

I sow so many handkerchief in distance
Each one soaked with tears
Promised of waiting
But wind of time took them away
Stacked in branches
They live they're own life
Whistling wind blow them
Roll them
Twist them in ear as dancing ballerina
Makes them remember laughter of past
With tears of present
In wind of dreams
Past endeavours
They cry as neglected children
Waiting to be picked up
And find they're way
To be kept close to chest
As treasure of heart
For someone to cherish

Each handkerchief has it's own dreams
Some to dress a wound
Some to hold the candlelight
Burning on heart as Faith
Some dream
To grow bigger on mainmast
Withstanding storm
To stand proud waving - against time
While life destiny that our nature shapes
In this or that room
Waiting
With handkerchief

THE OTHER SIDE OF THE MIRROR

THE OTHER SIDE OF THE MIRROR

Angel in black lace
lips painted red
rises from a misty dream
high heels clicking on hardwood floor
red hair billowing in autumn breeze

Her lover waits
eyes brilliant, blue and filled with desire
face like a beautiful, ancient God
stands by a mirror
one he created with the stroke of his brush
from the dark shadows of his mind

He holds out his hand
invites her to the other side
tempting her with his sensuous song

Her heartbeat quickens
"Stay close by me." she whispers
gently touching his face
"I will." he kisses her lips
he casts his spell

His gleaming knife flashes
streaks of brilliant light reflect on steel and glass
images of demons, lovers and wild beasts
dance within the multicolored rays of light

Blade slashes the curtain
creating a portal to a world of fantasy
one that devours, twists and shreds
like feline teeth tearing through tender flesh

Her angel face glows as he leads her over the threshold
her eyes grow wide as they walk through labyrinths
where magic beings flitter by then fade into black crevices
smell of candle wax melting on delicate skin
nymphs chant love songs
devils hiss as they pass

She watches a woman bound in chains
waiting
while a tanned muscular men
adorned with mystic tattoos
slowly changes into the hawk
gray fluttering wings sprout from his back
he gathers his slave within his claws
then flies upward to a sunless sky

Angel in black lace watches the ascent
then looks into her own man's eyes
she sees heaven for a moment
then she sees hell burn within the pages of her destiny

Now they walk down black tunnel
a wolf howls in the distance
wild cats magnificent and strong
look on
hunger in their eyes

Beast and woman lie together
on lust soaked floor
murmurs of pain and pleasure
echo in a chilling symphony

Angel peers at their faces
sees the poetry in their eyes
the erotic movement of their bodies
she begins to understand the magic of this darker world
then she ventures ahead
her lovers grip on her hand loosens
then lets go

"Watch over me, my love."
she says as she turns to look back at him
"I will."
his words drift on an icy wind

Black panthers wait for his command
he nods
his eyes gleam like the moon within a starless sky
as animals take the form of men
then shift back into primitive shapes

Angel's black lace torn to shreds
they devour her naked body
murmurs of pain and pleasure
on the other side of the mirror….

Loss

Embedded image from another site

At the service
relatives not seen
for such a long time
begin to appear in succession...

A mixture of joy and pain
pain for the loss
of a loved one
joy for uniting with kin...

Tears shed
for the beloved
are not a sign of weakness
but a sign of heart...

I know you cannot
read loss
only feel it
eventually, everything goes away...

If I could bring you back

If I could bring you back
for more hour or a day
I will get you snack
coz I have countless things to say.
If I could bring you back
I'll take care of you
I will put your sacks
like I use to do.
If i could bring you back
I will stay in your side
I will never be out of your sight.

Sorry for now
I can't bring you back.
I have to find myself
in the right track.
I miss you now
and always i will.

If can bring you back
If only I could I will.

Cloud Castle

Embedded image from another site

In her final moments
her silent face lies before me
mother's eyes so serene
like a lake undisturbed
by turbulent winds
perhaps inside she was smiling
perhaps not
perhaps lost in a world
of dreamy thoughts..

Her eyes cast a final gaze
as she faded into the kingdom
of brilliant white light
time seemed to have slowed
as she drifted away
surrounded by sobbing...

I had always known
the final moments
would be painful for me
but to my great surprise
it was peaceful for mother
as my tears flow wide
it was where I was
by my mother's side
as she joined
God's cloud castle in the sky...
