A poem for Robin Williams

A Poem for Robin Williams

Robin you always made me Laugh and cry at the same time
I laughed so hard sometimes my sides ached and tears ran
You gave me everything and more, while always wanting more
I cry now because youve gone and left a painful gap your life gone
Now I know that you wore the mask that many know and wear
Despair and dread Depression raised its awful head mask hidden
I’ve been chased by this dreadful curse and worn the mask to hide
But you my friend took it to its final bow to end when all not was good
Robin so many loved you she’s and He’s our tears are for your passing
You gave Mork meaning and in everything you did your Humour
Reigned supreme a magician with feelings producing laughter
When so easily tears could follow, such pain you bore Robin
Hidden away behind you Mask you Bore you give me hope
To recognise the beast that took you from us a Hideous thing
Depression a multitude of things your Mask concealed away
None can help you now too late but you Robin are helping us all
To fight the savage beast within us and unmask out true feelings
To identify in us to thosee that wear the mask sometimes like you
Thank you my famous friend I’ll carry your Humour with me
For the rest of my life, thank you “Nanoo Nanoo!”

days with out

the tear that was shed
was not the tear that fell
but a glistening slip of tongue
held out to dry
upon an empty berth of grey
knotted to prickly pear
a bone white desert sky

Tribute to Cheyenne

Tears can`t reflect the pain felt during loss

Nor can the sinking of the heart

Or the silence that clings to you and coats your world

If time can heal all wounds, let this one, bringing with it, good memories in place of bad.

A lights` gone out, leaving flame to follow.

Loose your way, think of him, he is your guide into the future.

There is nothing anyone can say more than you, than what he meant to this world and leaves behind.

His legacy grows not for the world, but for you, who loved him.

If only

If I could be given a moment more
And render you to life and restore
The time missed out and the love lost
Could I ask you to pay such cost?

Would I want the angels to spring your release
And steal away your heavenly peace
Would I want for myself a golden moment
And rob you of the ultimate at-onement?

Is love meant to let be
To wish for more so affection can see
The rainbow's end and the journey won
The end of night and the break of dawn

I cry for you but I envy more
The moments you have in endless store
The loss is great and the hurt is deep
But rather that than take your sleep

For Love called you there even though I cried
It heard me not the day you died
Mercilessly, beautifully and cruelly it took
My heavens fell and my earth shook

If only I can hold the faith
That will one day remove death's wreath
And place you again in my sight
Eternally ending this dark plight

Coward

Wherever did you get the gall?
I'm sorry,
Who died and made you the King,
Of Anything..

Where do these crazy ideas come from,
Your own crazy, empty head?
Or most likely, you were dilusional,
Had a delusional thought, and chose to act upon it,

In an antisocial way..such Audacity!
Well you had no right, you had no reason..
No one appointed you,
no one gave you licence,
To maim, to hurt, to kill..

Whomever shall live, and whomever, shall die,
You have no God given right to decide,
If you're not content, within your little world,
Then,by all means, get some help.
or put the gun to your own head,
You've no right!

To disrupt anyone elses world,
Did it give you a sick thrill,
In the midst of it all..
To announce to your little world,
What a big man you were with a gun,..

Pity you were the only one..
Had you been a real man,
Everyone there, that night,
Would have had one.
But, you never, gave them a chance,
did you?
Coward!

Gaza 2014

Someone asked me once if i remembered how it all went down
as if it happened long ago that anyone would forget

so yeah i remember

i remember when their homes and towns became their graveyards
when the tunnels became our only survival

i remember when the bombs fell out of the skys
when the cars stopped running when the electricity shut down and the world went into darkness

i remember when they put up the razor wire and the Israel defence force ran out body bags for the children their bombs killed

some of us sort of lost our minds
some lost more than that
much more

so yeah i remember
but now i don't give a damn about any of that

you know what i remember most
riding the open road the smell of your hair the touch of your skin

i remember you
but those days are gone now
im a drifter and for me the broken road is all thats left
but I'll always remember

The Undertaker

When bitter winds blow from the east
it brings slow death to man and beast
the undertaker rubs his hands with glee,
for he smells a feast

His neighbours dying off like flys
he measures them and notes there size
then sheads an allagators tear
for deep inside he dose not care

Fear not this man of whom i tell
for Satans angles have marked him well
for when he dies and goes to
we,ll hold a jamboree

MY SOUL'S SORROW

MY SOUL

My soul is weighed down in sorrow
For my loved one is not here for tomorrow
The days and nights blend together
In darkness the weight of a ton of feathers

Oh my soul cries a river of tears
And my heart quivers with fear
Of all the tomorrows to be alone
Facing the future and the unknown

O’ Lord please help me understand I pray
As to why my loved one was taken away
My soul wants to find peace from my sorrow
So that I may be able to face tomorrow

Please give me the strength to carry on
The courage to do what needs to be done
Please help me to accept your will
To know your Holy Spirit and to be filled

Open my eyes so that I might see
And feel your unconditional love for me
And that I might know when my journey is done
I will forever be in your arms and of Jesus - your Son

Prince

Prince
I only want to see you laughing in the purple rain
Thank you for your music
Thank you for your spirit
Thank you for your respect
I bought your Purple Rain album back in 1984
When Doves Cry was my favorite song at the time
I am wearing a purple shirt to celebrate your life
I will be listening to your music every day
I am glad you made Minneapolis your home
I love many of your lyrics and Mountains says it best
It's only mountains and the sea
Love will conquer if you just believe

About this poem:
Prince died on Thursday and I've been watching and listening to everything Prince since. Dave Chapelle does a funny skit on him playing basketball and serving pancakes.

no title

dreams hold the mass of a feather
as they nestle in wing together
made from days into seasons long
by earth which writes this song
but only the sun can truly fly
down into sea left the burning sky

About this poem:
Haven't felt like writing since that girl got killed, such a horrible tragedy in are community,is that one of the horrible powers of tragedy? The way it makes us look at are own lives as if by comparison next to the question. What if? What if that was us,or me,or somebody I loved?
