~~~Mom~~~
~~Mom~~
At times it seems like yesterday
other times it feels like 20 years
But time hasnt changed the pain in our hearts
or our eyes filled with tears....
We knew you were tired
we really wanted you to stay
We couldn't be selfish
to let you suffer another day.
God was calling you Home
we saw the pain in your eyes
with a heavy heart we gathered
to say our goodbyes
A day doesnt go past
without thoughts of you
wanting to hear your voice, see your face,
a hug, anything would do...
We love you.
I Got An Email Today
I got an email today
It said an old friend of mine
Had died today
God had drawn the line
And his weary body
Was finally ready to cross
His family is at a loss
But just maybe
His spirit is ageless
I got an email today
It made me think of tomorrow
To reflect back at time borrowed
What would you do
If the doc told you
Your time has grown short
Get your life in order
Say your goodbye's
To your husband or wife
Say your goodbye's
To your kids
When they were your life
I got an email today
It told me life is too short
To sit back and waste
Witness.
Loneliness corrodes your insides,
I am drunk on your emotion,
heightening my senses,
to a love like illusion,
I long to comfort by touch,
but confuse you with desire,
I the intruder in your grief,
witness of your search for peace,
welcome your pain it is,
my old familiar friend.
hurt
heavy cool pallor
over this room
air fearfully still
yet windows, wide open
you came and you went
as you had a mind to
but this time your leaving
...has left us without you
hopin' rainbows of angels are watchin' our baby
and that she's smiling at us
and looking so proud
for that's the way we all feel about her
a loving dear spirit
that did livin' out loud
with beauty so rare
no finger can point it
at the difference that she made
when she entered a room
for the gleam in her eye
hot fire within her
was more than enough
to melt you away
there's a lump in our throats when we think about you
how you fought through the pain
and faced down the fear
teardrops are falling
'cause you're not around us
but you've touched our lives
you'll always be here
I AM Coming Home
When I did not want one
God gave me a man to love.
To believe in me.
To always be there for me.
To love me unconditionally.
This man was more than my husband
He was my friend
He was my companion.
He was the father to my children.
God showed us the way
For a wonderful life
He resisted
Satan came.
He tried to break our family up
But we bonded ever closer still.
Money problems
health problems
Satan was trying,
but our chance had elapsed.
His last breathe was taken.
He said GOODBYE to the earth.
HELLO TO GOD
Lost
I'm looking
watching
wondering
how did I get here
far away from home
I'm spinning in circles
I want someone
... anyone?
Find me
I'm lost
where to go
what to do
I can't feel my legs
I'm falling
falling
into a dark, black hole
someone find me
anyone find me
I'm lost
Tonight .......i saw another star
Shining bright ....an not too far
Had not seen.... this star before
Before you left..for heavens door
You shone so bright when you were here
The people you touched.. made it clear
They'd never met....... a man like you
They never will .......an that is true
Passionate about ...the things you did
Your bike , the stamps , even the quid
But none so more ......than your girls
As if they'd come from different worlds
You committed .....every second you had
To secure your rights an make them glad
Share with them.......... all you could
Precious time ........as still it stood
You baked with them .......all the time
Cardboard castles......... were sublime
The squeals ...........of their delight
Echoed......... in your dreams at night
Analytical mind ....brilliant an unique
A memory clear .........for you to seek
There wasn't anything...... really hard
Your approach to it....... never marred
You dealt with people..... individually
Communication your forte.........easily
So when god called .......an needed you
Shocking all ..............in your view
As i look up .........into stars tonight
I know i'll see one close shining bright
An as time............ slowly ticks away
I'm sure this star ......will never fade
So raise your glass..... an have a drink
To remember the kiwi...... who did think
That his girls were queens in his domain
While the sun shines ...on tears of rain
For What It's Worth
For what it’s worth
I always loved you
you were my world
the moon
the stars
my reason for living
For what it’s worth
I didn’t mean to hurt you
to leave you
alone
lonely
crying in your pillow
For what it’s worth
we will meet again
death is not the end
live in heaven
life eternal
together we’ll be again
And Then Some
As we share our sunsets
in a different dimension of time,
years may pass~~
you’re forever mine.
I smell your essence
in the morning light;
feel your presence
in the middle of the night.
When I find your love notes,
I respond in kind;
nothing will ever erase you
from my mind.
Come to me
in the middle of the night;
I feel you
regardless of our plight.
I can’t wait to see you
when my time has come;
I know you’ll be waiting
for me...and then some.
Lost
Cold an alone an nobody home
Wandering down the lane of heartache an pain
Lost......
Asking yourself the reasons why
Life does make you sad an cry
Lost......
Where are the one's you need the most
To lighten your load of this heavy host
Lost......
Scream out for a helping hand
The world has ears on demand
Lost......
But silent is the night as you go
With it broken dreams an sorrow
Lost forever lost
