MARTIN VAN BUREN HIGH

NEVER WANTED TO SAY GOODBYE .WHENEVER I THINK OF YOU I CRY . YOU LOOK SO MAJESTIC STANDING HIGH ON YOUR CORNER OF THE WORLD.YEARS MAY COME AND YEARS MAY GO BUT I WISH MY TIME WITH YOU HAD GONE SLOW. WHEN I ENTERED YOUR HALLS, I WAS A KID.AND WHEN I LEFT YOUR WALLS , THEY SHIPPED ME OFF TO A NONSENSE WAR

OH MARTIN VAN BUREN, MAY YOU STAND BRIGHT AND TALL,AND FOREVER MAY YOU PRODUCE MEN AND WOMEN WHO WILL BECOME SOMETHING ,THEN YOU CAN SAY: I"M PROUD THAT YOU ARE ALUMNI OF MY SCHOOL.

Here I Am

Face the day, face the moment
Could not see these tears
Here I am, solemnly seeking
A comfort from my fears
In these days I cry out in anger
My voice not recognized
Is it me or have I fallen
From your sight

I need to know if it's gonna be
Forever like this between you and me
It's a constant struggle for my faith
And I want to believe
So here I am, please take my hand
Lead me into your arms
Cause right now I need a shoulder
I need a shoulder

People say that time is wasting
Just living for today
Cause we're not promised tomorrow
Tomorrow is too far away
In these days I cry out in anger
My voice not recognized
Oh God look down upon me
For I am blind

I need to know if it's gonna be
Forever like this between you and me
It's a constant struggle for my faith
And I want to believe
So here I am, please take my hand
Lead me into your arms
Cause right now I need a shoulder
I need a shoulder

A Christian's Apology

What if you are not a christian
Embraces another religion Buddism, Hinduism or Islam
Don't they all promise happiness, joy and peace
When this life come to an end

The earth's greatest philosophers contend
They cannot prove or disprove if a GOD exist
Yet for the christian GOD is a reality
For he experiences his GOD everyday

It is a historical fact that a man walked this earth name Jesus
Not believing make this no less real
The people of his day did not believe either
This did not stop his followers from changing the world

Man was created to look like and behave like GOD
But choose to go another path
The christian shows the way that lead
Man back to his God

Jesus Christ was GOD walking this eath as a man
He was ostricized, criticized, villified and eventually crucified
He was earth's most perfect man
Following his footsteps mean being a christian

What does it mean to be a christian
It is God being in control of the man
God goes about this world every day
He is in charge and operates out of the christian

Why worry about eternity
Start making sense of the present reality
Live life as God meant it to be
You will be safe for eternity

Tickled

A look at life..

If it was true..where is the God, that leaves us here to suffer,
We strive and fail a life so blue, ..is this to make us tougher,
'bad parenting' I hear you cry, 'a God who knows not love,'
No management from way up high, ..no need to look above.
-
As life is what we see and do, at times..you must regret,
Mistakes are here for me and you, ..advice you cannot get,
So look inside your heart to see, what you're to do is right,
If not in life you are not free, ..except in bed at night.
-
At night you see...when you're inside, your lover..in and out,
and in and out and feel such pride, ..you'll see her scream and shout..,
She wriggles up and slams in strong, you pant and want it stronger,
And dream of what is very wrong, ..like her..you'd want it longer...

God Patiently Waits.

In the mounting tension of a bursting town,
Car parks filled with facial frown,
Weekend mayhem, crowds abound,
And an empty Church stands waiting.

People like mannequins aimlessly flow,
Scarcely time to say Hello!
Lavish gifts bought to bestow,
And a lonely Church lies waiting.

Purces bulge with funds galore,
From a packed Public House..a deafening roar,
Constant footsteps pass a wide open door,
Of a hopeful Church in waiting.

Thunderous traffic and babies cries,
Blaring horns no longer a surprise,
Amid this chaos a quiet place lies,
In a peaceful Church still waiting.

Worldly repentance may soon be too late,
In the queue up to Heaven there's a lengthy wait,
On bloodied knees at a bolted gate,
Down below...the Devil is waiting.

In Your Loving Arms Lord

For i looked into my heart and
saw the love i had for God.
I see the love i had for this
church and it's members.
I see the bond that has grown
between us.
I felt that wall come down and
all my weaknesses were exposed
for all to see.
God lifts me up when i am down.
My church does the same.
You wanted all to see that sweet
side deep down inside of me.
You wanted me to praise God
honoring Him in my writing and
talents he has given me.
Now my Christians brothers and
sisters i say to thee God speaks
through you to show me what he
wants of me.
Where he wants me to be in my
church family.
If he leads you in a special way
i just in case it wasn't loud
enough for me to hear.
Let God's love shine through
the whole church as we go about
HIS ministry.

Not Forgotten

Questions ever more questions
Curiosity never to be broached
I raised my mind and thought
I touched
the skirt of the goddess
It lasted but a moment
and yet I saw
The countless eons of times agone
And the vista of those yet to come
I heard her words,
“Man you are never forgotten
as you agreed to forget
it’s the price of experience
by which ever enriched
you will become
to know me”.

praying past steeples

There are steeples
That touch the passing clouds
Cathedral choirs
Church congregations
Gather together
To raise a song and prayer

Spoken and silent prayers
Come from heart and soul
Prayers for help
Prayers of need
Asking to be whole
Pass the steeple in the clouds

Up they soar
Way on high
Beyond the stars
Toward the place
God s throne of grace
And there find merciful replies

bad omen

Is it truth or myth
Do these cards work
Do we dance with the devil when we temped are soul
We dare to play with satan

Dare to read these card
Superstiuos or a non believer
Can we see future for told or death and danger
The danger for told in these cards

Do you wonder
What the future holds
Are we tempting the devil
To know what will happen

Will we be fortold
Danger that will come
Or unwelcome misery we bring on are selfs?
Do we want to mess and sell are souls ,can these fortell are destiny so that we romance with the devil

If WE were God

If we could recreate and start again, the creation
of man,, what then?,,, so that we were God,
could we produce a better plan?

And IF we were God and this was now, would we
do better?, would we know how?
Would we call a meeting and define our plan,
to produce this good and better man?

Would we open the floor for debate, on the
best way to recreate?
We could give him freewill to play his part,
instill emotions for a feeling heart,

And we'd understand if he went astray, we'd
help him along througout his day,
He'd be our SPECIAL creation, created by
us in our perfect nation,

And at the end when he was done, we'd
take him home cause he'd be our SON,

Yes, that's what we could do, and don't
you see,,,he'd be soo much better, created
by you and me.

WOULDN'T HE?
