Cruising the forums, checking out the threads,
Reading what everyone has said.
I thought the point was looking for love,
but then a thought came from up above.
~Understand, I ain't knocking the site,
It oftentimes packs quite a tasty bite!~
For adults, this site is like a high school clique,
The geeks, the jocks, the preps, anyone got a bic to flick?
We gravitate to what we know or who seems safer,
I think he/she said their underwear was chaffer?
We have great days, fun chats, intellectual posts,
And some that seem like lukewarm toast!
All-in-all it appears, that although we try to be happy and sparkly,
We "CS'ers" can be quite cranky!
(And some posters deserve a cheeky little spanky!)

Valiant Sir Fellsman,
His pen is mightier than any sword.
His deeds reach across many seas and mountains,
Where Warlords and Dragons are counted,
On his tally of tasks and quests accomplished.
His code of honour protects many a virgins,
From bandits of scammers in Westwood,
He is more deadly than Clint Eastwood.
On days of thunder he plays bolt cannon,
And when Cupid calls,
He rent his bow and arrows,
Nothing escapes his eagle vision,
Nothing is lost in making his decision!
In battle beware his libido strength,
Taken full by maiden's bosom!
The wrath of Khan are lost on his brow,
His temper flare with tempest fiend!
His bow is only reserve for high wisdom,
His weakness is on the arm of a woman,
So has Samson ,so has Sir William,
Fallen and never risen...
The tale of Sir Fellsman told,
In poems at poetry Corner !
THE END

Been a while since I've been here
and missed all these readings
now some I see are really nice
and some just plain pornographic
saddens me that a woman would write
such utter filth and degradation
but then I realise that poets know
some are born plain nasty
I think that most on here
are kind and decent people
to the ones that write this crap
I just won't be reading it

CHRISTMAS MAIL
I have a list of people I know, all logged in my computer,
And now at Christmas time I have gone to take a look.
And that is when I realize that these names are a part,
Not of the computer they're stored in, but of my heart.
For each name stands for someone who has crossed my path sometime,
And in that meeting they've become the rhythm in each rhyme.
And while it sounds fantastic for me to make this claim,
I feel that I'm composed of each remembered name.
And while you may not be aware of any special link,
Just meeting you has changed my life, a lot more than you think!
For once I have met somebody, the years cannot erase,
The memory of a pleasant word (or E-mail) or of a friendly face.
So never think my Christmas E-mails are just a mere routine,
Of names upon an address list, forgotten in between.
For when I do a Christmas E-mail that is addressed to you,
It's because you're on the list of people I'm indebted to.
And whether I have known you for many years or few,
In some way you have been a part of shaping things I do.
And now that Christmas has come, I realize anew,
The best gift life can offer is meeting people like you.

Why is it when a poem you craft
And words so carefully chosen
The thing you write is a part of you
Whether real or imagined
There are times when words on paper flow
Like a river’s bursting it’s banks
You look and ponder, not a word you change
Yet other times the birth’s so traumatic
You labour and sweat, words you change
Then finally the light turns green
Next it feels like a load is gone
Til the pen starts writing again
So what, I ask, gives you the right
To criticize my writing
Telling me what words to use
They want to change the meaning
Why is it that each line you begin
A capital is most confusing
I hate to tell you this my ‘friend’
Many famous poets do it
Just because you’re stuck in a rut
You think you know all the answers
So many different ways to write
Maybe some not even invented
So I will be ever so polite
About you and your criticism
May the Bird of Paradise sit on your shoulders
And peck your ears to pieces
May he fertilise your shoulder blades
And set up a din most raucous
May all your demons come at night
And haunt your sleeping moments

About this poem:
Author notes
I normally overlook people who are rude enough
to expect you to change your poem to suit them,
however, the last one spent over 470 words telling
me how to re-write my poem to suit what she wanted
to read ... so sometimes this is what is in a poets mind

Once,
trying to find riches to stash it,
I entered a palace of mystique and magic,
With tassels on the ramparts,
flowering plants ridiculous,
Coniferous and deciduous,
foliaceous and oderiferous,
Surely inside was something
Expensive and proliferous,
I entered into the megalith,
Looking for that which
would make me rich...,
Deep ditches used to irrigate,
I swam my way in,
It was very late...,
Effective at being unobtrusive,
Their primitive security system
was useless,
I heard a music soft and low,
Telling me exactly where to go,
A harmonium I had to follow,
There you were,
Not diamond or pearl,
Golden coins or precious jewels,
but to me the most beautiful girl,
The greatest treasure in the entire world.

None will fell the grounding of the words
Once wrote and sent
the only hounding
shall be
the hand of the pen
an angst
a surreal play
non blocked of streams
a flickering of say
long lost
slippery moss
creeping silently among
to which shall be
The silence of the tongue

I await the great judgement day,
The glorious ascension of heaven,
A scary righteous Armageddon ,
Quakes shaking the ground,
Fire pouring down from the clouds,
Taking all the wicked ones out,
The Lord returning in anger and fury ,
Volcanoes spewing Brimstone and ruin,
An ordered chaos holocaust,
I believe humanity is lost,
More so now than it ever was,
What can anyone do to be saved?,
Get down on your knees and pray ,
The end may come at any day,
We've only got ourselves to blame...

About this poem:
I feel the need to put two more cents in.Humans were given ten simple rules to follow.Who really follows them?
No-one ...I mean I personally don't know many.Sure there are a few here and there in this world, and maybe they deserve to go to some happier place after this.
What I see though is this world is what people made it.
Can we as a people fix all this corruption ..? I think not.
Only God can judge and save those few left that live up to his standards...
May whatever God any and all of us pray to
have mercy on each and all of our souls..
I leave the saving of this planet to the higher powers and try to live as good and honest as I can in the meantime.

Life is full of choices
Make sure you pick the right one
Don't listen to the voices
Hear only yours and you have won
Many people will tell you
You need to change your looks
Don't take to heart their view
Fabulous bods are found only in books
There is only one voice
That you should listen to
It will help make the right choice
That is perfect just for you
Your looks are your own
Someone will always love you
You will never be alone
Look in the mirror and you'll see who

Voices that cares,
Comes together to share,
A call for help cannot be ignored,
A plead for a special best friend.
SOS beacon our help,
Prayers and love sent,
My tears in heaven,
For his will to bend.
Jesus compassion,
Has no definite end,
Miracles abound,
For you and your best friend.
Amen
