Who ate it?( shadow challenge)

I mixed something so savory sweet,
And cooked it in a baking sheet,
I took delicious THC
and put it up in everything,
Melted chocolate and poured in kief,
Couldn't taste a single thing,
Probably more than I'd really need,
Soaked some nugs up in the milk,
Gave it a slightly greenish tilt,
Manufactured some ganja butter
Make you wanna slap your mother,
Even cracked a couple eggs
that a loaded chicken laid,
Flour, sugar , dash of salt,
This batch would be over the top!,
A few walnuts for added crunch
Not too many, not too much,
Nothing wrong in the world all day,
Have to say,
Best damn brownies I ever made...

The protector of all the maidens here

A Gentle Man, one who defends woman,
He would rush in sword drawn and fight for her always.

A seductive Man, one who would take time to learn about who she is and seduce her until she melts.

A Mystery Man, one who is always one half a step in the lead, He shows a glimps of himself and retreats behind words.

If you follow the words and piece them together, if you see under the masks. ..

There is a Man who I know is inside many a maidens bloodstream and floats inside them.

A Man so worth feeling.

(shhhh if you visit the Cafe you would be able to watch and see what I mean)

WHY HERE?

Why here, this little corner?
What is this place we all gravitate to?
To me, it is living proof, that no-one has to be alone,
Even after years they return,
They’ve hit that wall, they can’t sleep, the midnight oil to burn,
Until they’ve written that verse, that poem,
That one that seems to bring peace, yet, less sleep,
Where perhaps, personal blessings are given,
Important things, thought about to forgive which in turn are forgiven,
And…..There we sit, no longer alone,
Logged in….Putting words together one by one,
The old familiar feeling, welcomed, as it creeps in,
Here….Where hearts can be mended,
Where fragile souls and feelings are tended,
It’s relaxing, stable, comforting,
Its……HOME!

About this poem:
Sorry I am a little rusty.....I haven't really written much in what seems to be a very long time.
I was reading from some poets earlier, and got to wonder what this place has that is so special, that so many other sites try to emulate and fail miserably....I for one am very grateful for this place, and all of the poets here, both now and in the past.....It has helped me a lot in many ways since I joined, I would also like to say thank you to people that have kept up with me over the years even when I have been AWOL for a while....Thankyou!....I won't embarrass you in public...You know who you are!...LOL

A New Poet

They come in not sure of their welcome
post their words with trepidation
scared maybe of being ignored or mocked
not sure even if they can write at all.

You all know this feeling
once too you were new
if lucky someone held out a hand
gathered you under their wing.

Gave you lots of encouragement
by reading and commenting kindly
Happily you replied and learnt
and you too now welcome the new poets.

Carrying on the tradition
for to greet and comment
brings hope to faint hearted
so as you post remember this.

You were once new and unsure
so hold out your hand in friendship
comment on other's poems
and they in turn will respond.

About this poem:
I have noticed that many poets get no comments at all.
in most sites there are dedicated greeters that welcome new poets
Please remember that you were once new and encourage others.
As for the new poet you too should comment on others
By doing so you will make new friends and be encouraged
And yes even inspired by their works so breathe a little life
into this site all it needs is some care and respect for others.

A Mizzy Shade of Color

Embedded image from another site

There are many shades of colors and you have painted them so well
I've always envisioned black, because its the only thing I felt
Rather painted from our words or within a sweet soliloquy
Their an expression of ourselves or of the world we wish to seek
Just as one composes colors or form one may also compose emotions
As we reach beyond our infinite from the depths of the bluest oceans
And within the changing seasons that ignites a passion through our dreams
Then only through a rainbow could our world ever find it's voice to sing

Traffic Jam .......

Sitting on the corner
Watching the poems go by
Brings memories of times
When the traffic was so high
You’d post in the morning
And by night you would return
To search for your write
And comments to learn
But alas your words were gone
Down the avenue
And the poems had built up
The queue very long .........

"Someone Special"

There is a time in your life
When love and hurt comes into play
You just shrug it off
Tomorrows another day

But you know deep inside
That there was a little spark
It was about to come alive

Little did you know someone special
There you thought, the knock on the front door
Eventhough things go so well
It makes your feelings and heart swell

When you turn out the lights
Usually it means noones home
But sometimes there is
They just want to be alone

That is a sign the person is stuck
They cannot move on,no such luck
So just keep moving, and wish them well
Even if it sometimes hurts like hell

Relationships,come and go
Playing around because that is all they know

Poet's Corner Bash ( More Poets added onto)

Kickit rolled into town
Tyres hot and smoking
Pulled up next to Billiegirl's van
A Kombi with purple flowers
Hand in hand they walked along
Slyly stealing kisses
Round and around the poets cheered
Two legends to see united
Jazzy was there pacing around
Busy writing some poetry
Finding out that's not so easy to write
One that smokes with intensity
Pinkpoetress was helping her
Encouraging her writing
Happygolucky when she arrived
Off into the woods she ran
Last words heard 'one of these frogs'
Then out she came with handsome man
Surely a Prince of some sort
Only thing that seemed bit strange
Was the glow of green from skin
There was Redex with brush in hand
Practising poetry for performance
Back and forth she waved it around
Until finally she was happy
Poetnumber1 in Porsche arrives
With lots of girls in tow
Just came back from holidays
With all his fresh new poems
Earlgreytea so sober stood
Conversing with SundaySilence
Inside the place was really jumping
Up stood elo to read new poem
This poem titled 'Frustrated'
He waved his hand, a hush fell
And then he spoke his poem

Frustrated

The crowd went wild for never before
Had they heard a poem so succinct
A poem of only one word
That was never heard of before
Next came Fellsman, a man, a legend
Who's poetry was so precise
The crowd so silent, mouths wide open
The words as sweet as honey
The words they rhymed back and forth
They rhymed up and down
And just to show how good he was
He rhymed them inside out
One after another up they came
There was niah and marikia
With Topaz underfoot
Followed by Odette and andrew
Agoodguy and cafetwo and Country Lady
Netman, boyshchrm and paloma
Thelmatalla up she stood
To read her 'I Love You CS Poets'
Swade read while Ladybee watched
And Mcduff made ready to recite
Ayhra though tired from Adelaide came
Not wishing to miss the bash
Itchywitch from Ireland flew in
On a sad old tired broom
And even freepoetry made appearance
SunNieS gLinnTing bY StagELighT
One by one up they went
Then finally it finished
The crowd was hoarse and with aching hands
All worn out and tired
The day was done
Each read their work
Next year there'll be another

For a girl,woman and lady

Your mind is beautiful ...your words are shield and swords. Your wit is mixed with wisdom, you are a light for many others ... You pull no punches, you hide no truth, beneath that shade of a woman, lies a girl whose heart is pure gold.:) this is what I think of you ,my words of dedication ;especially for a graceful lady ...that's YOU !
