Enjoy The Ride

They throw themselves at me
Its only because they see
Something better then reality
Something better then what's really me
My words took the wheel
Guided them down roads so soft
During moon less nights
With the head lights off

Highway Redemption

Coyote cries on hot asphalt
I'm so sorry
So sorry I'm at fault
If it means anything
I'll lick the chrome
that kissed your cheek
Be the first to say
I'm sad and weak
so blue so bleak
so lost and meek

IN SACRED SILENCE

Under a cloak of sapphire blue,
covering these night skies.
They peer down upon me through,
their knowing diamond eyes.

While here in these velvety shadows deep
I softly ask my soul to speak.
For only in sacred silence, will it freely share
those deeper truths, that my heart must somehow learn to bear.

HE BEAT THE LIFE OUT OF ME! (lyrics)

Your slap was so hard
I landed in tommorrow
Feel the tingle in your hand
Its the pain from all my sorrow

You must really feel big
Its your pride you must swallow
You push me down again
Set the rules I must follow

Black marks run down
From both my eyes
Everyone that sees me
Knows the reason why
(CHORUS)
When you love someone
And you know he does'nt mean it
Its hard to tell him
Cause he just does'nt want to see it
When you tell him stop
Does he really know you mean it
Lets go get some help
Only then will he ever see it
---------

Friends always question me
But I have to lie
If I told them the truth
I would definatly die

I wish he'd finish me
So this could be the end
I'm so tired of taking it
Too weak to defend

I try to tell him
How about we break for awhile
Its been months and months
Since I even seen you're smile
(CHORUS)
When you love someone
And you know he does'nt mean it
Its hard to tell them
Cause he just does'nt want to see it
When you tell him stop
Does he know you really mean it
Lets get some help
Only then will he ever see it

You must be happy now
You drank your last bottle
How long will he stand
I can tell by his waddle

Ropes are tied around
Both my hands and feet
I feel his strikes
Its the same old beat

Take away this pain
And his hands that beat
Throw in the white towel
Admit my self defeat

(CHORUS)

Moving...

Moving
Again!
No good clinging
To love that's winging
It's way to pastures new
No use being being blue
Pack again!
Fell for his charms anew
For what?
I must be crazy
Know what?
I'm done...!

About this poem:
I went back to him again. How could I be that silly?
Finally the love I had for him is gone. Since July 2019 I've moved 20 + times! Back and forth to him.
I've learnt a lot, that's always a bonus...
At last I've come to my senses...and I've forgiven him and myself, thank God...??

I’ve seen the ..........

I walked away from you
‘Cause you thought that you knew
The needle was your best friend
We spoke about it many a time
What made it so sublime
We knew how it was going to end
Stronger than you or I
It’s power the ultimate sigh
How would you defend
Years have passed
How did you last
Did you manage to transcend
Through the haze
And worldly maize
I haven’t forgotten you my friend......

After the war

Chopin from white ivory

skills of the master player

on this deeply polished piano

and from the verandah

they all enter elegantly

women in hats

men in suits

stripes are the order

champagne quaffed

from flute glasses

and the laughter

goes up and down the hallways

as if the war had never been

Reconciliation

Reconciliation happens
When we become friends
Differentiation when we
Be different and distinct
Literalization is truth
Just give me the facts
Decommunization is just
Tearing down the walls
Renormalisation is had
Conforming to peace
Extemporisation leads to
Performing without plan
Miscommunication fails us
Refusing to be clear
Idealization splitting
One good and one bad
Reconciliation happens
When we become friends

A play on big words commenting about all the current diplomacy going on the big geopolitical world stage!!

It's always better to reconcile our differences in the search for peace.

DISTANT

Distant, the echo’s of my heart
Far flung, upon the seas of life
Oblivioned to strangers hand
Trialed,in turmoiled living strife

Diluted, the fullness of my blood
Strewn seed of careless youth
In isolation distance spans
You my son, in living truth

Consummation of misguided love
In abandonment life begun
Thru primal urge ignorance blossomed
In denial unity unsung

Deprivation of sight and sound
Newborn innocence unbeheld
Blame could not apportion round
Man in doubt, his might is felled

Timeless thoughts of who and where
Aliened fruit of my urge, unloved
Physical sense of longings quenched
Prodigal times of my life unproved

Relieved, at last you have a name
My circle’s round, My life complete
But judge me not by others sound
See My Face before ere we meet

About this poem:
I have struggled to express my thoughts and feelings of a part of my life unfulfilled..Of the dangerous days of youth and ignorance...Of how the careless exuberance of youth can bring about the unfathomable consequences and agonies in innocent life...
Though this work tells me its finished, I still feel there is a whole world of unexpressed feeling I need to include. So it may be amended at some point....

I dedicate this to Tim....
