When a good word is said

When a good word is spoken
The ear will listen
The eye will look
The mind will like
The soul will embrace
The heart will sing
The body will dance.

When a bad word is spoken
The ear will listen
The eye will look
The mind will hate
The soul will reject
The heart will stop
The body will fall.

APOLOGY

Even if I said
A million more sorry
What use would that be?
Could that undo the misdeed?
Could that offer me an alibi?
Even if a million offences came
Shouldn’t a million pardons follow?
It takes more than a saint
to live a flawless life.
I am really very sorry
For all that happened.
Although sorry won’t do
But what else could one say
Except words of apology
In this circumstance.

Its a shame

Its a shame that you are over there..
Its just to far away for a love to last that long ..
Yes something closer would be nice for the heart to feel ..
If only it were true ,real ,and now its a shame ..
If only you had lied a bout where you lived and it was closer to me ..
So far away from me to you ..
Its as shame that you sent me a letter of things that are not about you ..
Just be careful how you write ..
Words can be a lot to handle some times if they are not from the heart ..

Live Your Life

Now is the time,to live your life right.
Live it for God,Forgive day and night.
You have hurt others and they have hurt you.
Just pray to the Lord and he'll carry you through.
It's time to let go of things from the past.
Choose to beilieve and let your life last.
Let God take over,let him be near.
Don't live for satan,Don't live in fear.
If you fall flat on your face.
The Lord will be your saving grace.
Please just know that he did say.
He will always make a way.

The weight that once held me down,
Now lifted, I'm no longer bound,
The pain that once consumed my heart,
Has faded, and I have a new start.

The memories that once brought me pain,
Are now just echoes in my brain,
The love that once seemed so ideal,
Is now a distant memory that's real.

The heartache that I thought would last,
Has vanished, and I'm free at last,
The tears that once fell from my eyes,
Are gone, and I'm no longer living lies.

Heartache is gone, and I'm moving on,
With a heart that's mended and strong,
The future that once seemed so bleak,
Is now full of promise, and I'll seek.

The love that I thought was lost,
Is now within my reach at any cost,
Heartache is gone, and I'll embrace,
A new love that I'll never replace.

To Find What's Left

To write more verse, before the Impulse dies,
To find a way to live out what life's left,
And let my mind free in the bluest skies,
Before I gasp and take my final breath;-
To find that heart where we are best allies,
Before the Reaper's sickle means sure death;
So when it's finally over - this life's game;-
I shoot my soul into the sky as Spirit Flame.*

To tell of what has happened - best I can,
To remember fleeting beauty when she came;
And tell of every girl to whom I ran;
(Even though I can't recall each name);
Well most I can, (when I was a younger man);-
And in my kismet, I will feel no shame;
Well, where's the shame in a person's destiny?
When we should live out what was meant to be.

And so I'll entertain with more vignettes,
To keep all poems honest -(like before);
One more time, I'll say this: "there are no regrets";-
Many's the women, and many were the whore;
With whom I've slept - (that is aiding and abets);
I've been to strange places, been through many a door;-
I count my self lucky, to now survive;-
So I'll write myself dry - while I'm alive.

About this poem:
* I'm not religious, in the least (hardly). I merely feel the Energy must dissipate somewhere when we "die".

Ice cream, just ice cream

I like ice cream on a sunny day and birds singing in the month of May, I like to see caterpillars crawl, snow fall, rain against my window pane, stormy winds that make me shiver, and float in peace on a winding river, I like peaceful times, soulful rhymes, but most of all, how it should be, what I'd like to see, is I care for you, and you care for me.

The young!

The young, what can you say? naive and innocent, and damm frustrating, no sense of life, always rushing in, and they know it all, until they fall, and then they ask for assistance, they show (this time) no resistance, so we help them up, (again) and help them on their way to this video game of life they play, until reality comes to call,
it's then they grow up,................. just like us all.

Its a whole new world {hopefully]

A prison ship in the vastness of space, prisoners all, the human race, illusions of freedom to keep all blind, no truth allowed, there's nothing to find, only rules and regulations, laws for populations, to think is frowned upon, verbalise or analyse, contemplate? its too late, humanity has lost its way, its time , its here but nothing to fear, it will end in a blink, and then start anew, a whole new world for me and you, rejuvenation for every nation, just hope its a better Godly Creation.

Wonder

Wish to wonder Why,
You wonder why you Wish.
To wonder why you wish to wonder,
Why you wonder why you Wish.
Then Do.

About this poem:
I wrote this , when I was about 30 yr's old. I was disappointed with the school systems of America. The way student's were being conditioned to be better citizens . For lack of a more stringent argument. Oh by the way Happy Columbus Day . Did I make my Point?
