each time a new season arrives
I see again with eyes afresh
which one do I love best?
spring? summer? autumn? winter?
there's only one answer
I love them all anew
so fresh is each at start
then slowly they fade away
the wonders of spring
the promise of new life
each time my heart gladdens
opens wide to embrace
but then summer follows
such beauty everywhere
masses of colourful flowers
matched by beauteous butterflies
fast on heels comes autumn
the Reds, Browns and Golds
harvests of all good things
the beauty of the bare trees
last but not least
winter's icy fingers
hoar frost's on the trees
pure unblemished snow
How can one choose
so lets toast each one
for the beauty they bring
no contest no choice to make

There is days that
my life seems to be
so complicated even
for me.
I sit and think how
can this be my life
i am suppose to be
laid back easy and
free.
I want to smile but
that is not today
for me.
Pain discomfort is
all i see today
no good luck coming
my way.
I sit here and pray
Lord help me today.
Show me the way
i have lost what
i have found but
how do i get me
back to where
i was.
Screaming out to
you help me Lord
i need you
especially today
please show me
your way Lord.
I have faith
in you i always
had and always
will, but somehow
i need you to
carry me through.

I remember a farm
there in bala
in a valley
secluded, alone, silent
looking up to the hills
sheep grazed lazily
and further back
big mountains lay
keeping silent curfew
the still trees
the bladed fields
the distant hills
calling for restless souls
climb and taste of me
what lay in the distance
so up and on i went
as a small stream
rolled on downwards
my climb to a hilltop
opening a spectacular vista
below a large sleeping lake
watched over by mountains high
soon my eager footsteps
found me by the waters edge
stillness, natures eerie place
hidden from time it seemed
untouched by time itself
who saw this last i pondered
this respite place
where peace is born
guarded by tall blackness
looking on a human speck
i recall it so well
to rest here is honey sweet
this golden piece of nature
where tranquility is king

online today!
One night while surfing the World Wide Web
I saw a funny name that said
"Dripping with Anticipation"
How this stirred my imagination
Could this be the one I thought
Or will this lead again to naught
I mustn't let myself be fooled
My ardor must be quickly cooled
But if she is the one I seek
Then surely I must not be meek
I say hello and ply my charms
One day she may be in my arms
Through twists and turns our words unwind
I never thought that I would find
The woman that I sought so long
It feels too right, it can't be wrong
We talk for hours well into the night
Til sunrise fills my room with light
Must say goodbye but I just can't do it
If she doesn't return I'll know I blew it
The hours pass til the sun goes down
She doesn't come back and I can only frown
Was it something I said that scared her away?
Should I sit here for another day?
Hours turn to days and days become weeks
I cruise the chat rooms with the rest of the geeks
Maybe I'll see her flirting with someone
But she's not there, and I talk to no one
A month goes by and finally I get
A letter from a guy I've never met
It's her cousin and he hates to inform me
The news that we are never to be
With careful words that fill me with dread
He tells me that my Lori is dead
Ovarian cancer the doctors said
Chills went from my toes to my head
They tried very hard to save her for me
Ripped out her guts by hysterectomy
But it was too late to save her life
I lost my dream to make her my wife

About this poem:
This is a true story which happened about 8 years ago. Lori was from Knoxville TN. She was only 38 and she was beautiful. We were supposed to meet but she couldn't drive due to her surgery, then one day she didn't come online anymore. While she was alive I told her "I love you" I can only hope that gave her at least a small measure of comfort in her darkest hour.

Be exactly who you want to be,
Do what you want to do.
I am he, and she is she.
But.....
You're the only you!!

Bewitched I am puzzled by the sounds
The black cat on the street corner
The straw brooms in the closet
and the full Moon
A leprachon with a four leaf clover
The owls turning his head 180 degrees
A coyote howling at night
Where does all this lead us
to the cemetary on Halloween
Ghost Goblins and elves
walking around whispering making noise
It is a scary environment
But I must move on
The lightning strikes an echo in the sky
As people with costumes scatter by
it is nostalgic all of this
the wonder of climate change
All good
Bewitched bothered and bewildered

The Mermaid (Part Two)
The man with the tear soaked eyes walked along the beach for the thousandth time.
His hands were shaking and his lips quivering in the cold as he constantly looked out to sea, where was she, would she ever return, would she mend his broken heart.
He had but caught a fleeting glimpse of this beauty as she preened herself on that ancient granite rock, and a glimpse was all it had taken as he was now completely besotted by this angel from the deep.
Even now, weeks after the event he could still see every tiny detail of his wondrous vision.
The sparkling blue eyes that outshone the sun, and the kelp entangled hair that glistened with the reflection from the moon. Her heaving breasts that had caused the man in him to want her body for his own s*xual pleasures, and that oh so innocent smile that had replaced the pure animal lust within him with a more protective desire to take her in his arms and cherish her.
He had not kept her appearance a secret, he had told everyone he had met, and he had talked and talked and talked.
He wanted to tell everyone about his dream girl, his mermaid from the deep, his beautiful fish tailed siren.
But would they listen to him? The answer was no, a resounding no!
He was laughed at, ridiculed, pointed at and made out to be the village idiot, and all just because he wanted to share what he had seen.
But he didn't care, he would see her again, he knew he would see her again, he had to see her again. Otherwise, well otherwise he would go crazy.
Another tear ran down his face as he once again looked at the vacant rock where his angel had once sat.
He realised that maybe they were right, maybe he was mad, just a demented old fool, someone that had let his dreams overtake reality.
His heart wrenched tear fell to the sand and along with his hopes and dreams soaked into nothingness.
He turned away and looked no more.
He must preserve his sanity at all costs.
So he walked away and returned to the boredom of his sad uneventful life.
This meant that he was not there an hour later when a ripple formed in the water, as a dream like beauty pulled herself from the sea and perched on her favourite granite rock.
She looked around, but he was not there.
Maybe it was her imagination but she was sure she had seen love in his eyes.
Maybe if she waited he would return.
But no she thought to herself, she was being foolish.
She slipped off the rock once more and plunged deep into the dark forbidding sea, back to reality she told herself, back in the water where nobody could see her tears.

The tears we cry;The pain we feel; The love we have no more.We don't know why it happens, but it opens another door.To the life we would love to have, with smiles upon our face.Instead of the life that we used to live,in such a utter discrace. The plan that God has for us,,,we ask him for it every night. And as we wake ever...y morning,we see his shining light. LIFE ITSELF!!!!

A NEEDLE IN A HAY STACK
FINDING THE NEEDLE IN A HAY STACK
THE ONE PERSON IN LIFE YOU LACK
ONE CAN SEARCH THEIR WHOLE LIFE LONG
ONLY TO SETTLE ON SOMEONE WHO IS ALL WRONG
IN YOUR DREAMS YOU MIGHT FEEL HIS ESSENCE THERE
BUT WHEN YOU WAKE ALL YOU FEEL IS DESPAIR
YOU MIGHT CATCH A GLIMPSE IN A STRANGERS EYE
AS YOU ARE PASSING BY
THAT WILL LATER MAKE YOU WONDER AND SIGH
LET YOUR SPIRIT ALWAYS HOPE
AND DON'T GO AROUND AND MOPE
BECAUSE WHO KNOWS?
YOU MIGHT ONE DAY GET A KISS FROM THE ONE WHO WILL MAKE YOU TINGLE TO YOUR TOES

She's finally found her man,
nine foot tall and hairy
He's the dream boy of the
woods and he's found the
gal he'll marry!
They sent out the invitations
Kickit shall be best man
And cafe is free at last
to give Bigfoot her hand
There will be a mighty feast
thrown by Hag and Beast
The Foots shall surely wed
after all poets are fed
So, come one, come all the
Old Hag is dressed in white
And that smelly beast from
the cave shall surely be
her knight!
