Everlasting.

Look at the sun
See the everlasting
Our hearts on the run
Love within our dream Is starting
Glory before me
The sun before my eyes
My Veronique
You lift my Soul to paradise
Oh Veronique
Your blue eyes are shining
You are my ever light
You are my silver lining
Stand before me
Our joy of Love Is starting
My Veronique
You are my Love everlasting

Into Eternity

Walk into eternity
adorned with imortality

Stripped of flesh
and bone, this
primitive reality

Mind dimensions
unknown
Spirit transcending
time

Consciousness awakening
from itself
With its memory
left behind

Infinity is just
a moment, as long
as forever hangs
around

Eternity is but
a broken clock..
The only game
in town~

THE OYSTER AND THE PEARL

There was an oyster laying on the shore
That everyone walked by and ignored
For years it was there in the sand
Waiting to be discovered by a human hand

A special miracle started happening inside
A secret God had placed there to hide
Away where no one could see
Grew a precious gem only made by the sea

A lustrous shimmering beautiful pearl
Whose beauty was about to be revealed
A child collecting shells opened to see
A hard beautiful object the size of a pea

God gave the gift of his son to pave our way
To Eternal Life in Heaven our own Easter Day
The beautiful white pearl innocent and white
God’s wondrous work had come to light

~On the small of her back~ (Soulgoddess Challenge)

Tip toed in spin stopping in breath
Hand hold's the mask, floor stands in still
I promptly recall your scent from a time
A market from years, a long time ago.

That day you were masked as you are here right now
Your voice that I heard, hair brown in flow
Upward in thrust each questioning eyes
Hand pushed aside gives a what, kind of stare.

Her dress light in hem fondles the air
Eyes dance about with the odd glance of dare
He takes on lead right from under her feet
Hold's to his time, not loosing a beat.

Hall's filled with masks, masking away
Cape's sweep the floor, drama sin play
Hand on the small, the small of her back
Together they come clothed skin to skin

Masquerade's started

Shall we.......begin!

Firefly

My little fireflies send me secret messages
Those flying ferries with magic wands
Three short blinks and three long
Each species a little different from the rest
Like the songs of chirping warblers
In the breeding canopies high in fir trees
I watch and wait with flashlights and nets
For you to appear after the sun sets
After its brilliant colors fade away
And before the first stars appear
I watch you dance and flash and play
Moments of seduction swing and sway
Or perhaps just luring in your prey
I know not exactly why you so delight
That growing twilight with your lights

Pigeon-hearted

from a youth
where muscle had abounded
and they had drank heartily
to the claims
of scandalous deeds
once bedroom bold
swarthy
men who drove iron pegs
men who worked the docks
men who herded cattle
out on the frontier
now sullen
pigeon-hearted
down to a single hair
thin men, fat men
all beaten inward
forced to absorb it all
consigned to the benches
of the world
stoic however
like an orchestra enduring a light rain
mercifully trying to keep to the bar
as the mist
sweeps through the arches

Book

There are times
When I feel an affinity
With an old forgotten book
Dusty and worn
With a sad pitted cover
Where the elements and time
Have taken their toll
The chapters of my life
Make no great reading
Like the book
Neither of us is a classic
But we both have a story
To tell
In pages so steeped
Within sadness and sorrow
As great bitterness and regret
Weep from both our spines
And the glue
Which for so long
Bound us both
To our own existence
Had deteriorated
Beyond all recognition
But more than any other thing
The final two words
Of both our journeys
Remain true and constant
“The End”

Cupcakes

I running out of room
For the stuff I have that should be swept out with a broom
Books, movies, and CDs, oh my!
But this year I will try
To find a good baked good
This woman told me I should
But the cupcakes had cream cheese filling
Plus she wanted eight dollars for four in the billing
I said to myself I don't want stuff in my cupcake
Away from this garage sale to someone else who knows how to bake
So away I drove and could not find
A lady told me, not in front of the building, but behind
So the chocolate cupcakes I got, which was nice
And I got them for half the price!

Winter thoughts

Enter the winter
rolling hail in the street
I think of refuge
after the roses have died
and the leaves have filled the streets
you feel the curl inside
the harboring of breath
as if the age will not pass
the secret is to lie in a hot tub
with the steam rising high
and whistle a merry tune
"Spring, wonderful spring.."
until the wine runs low
then off to bed you go.

Wayward light

The hourglass sifts down towards the bottomless undertow. The heart beats faster than what has ever been known. The soul shakes to the sound of the aftermath. The world turns until it burns and crash. As you lay in the wayward light falling into a dream. Decent into the emptiness of the stars as they beam. Into your eyes a darkness Fades into tears. Bringing your mind to the worst in life of all your fears. Creating a moment and in that moment it's an eternity. But in that forever moment the night has shown us rain. And in that wayward light those feelings though bottled up hurt for only just a day. One day the hurt will be gone as I look at the golden haze.
