Walk With Me

Let me take you on a magical journey.
Hold my hand, feel safe and secure,
I will be by your side through anything you endure,
For we are one, both you and I,
I will wipe your tears if ever you cry,
I wish to show you just how beautiful you are,
Just like the essence of a morning star,
Cover your eyes and walk with me,
For now your saviour, you will see,
Trust in me, let me show you your wealth,
Remove your hands within the mirror is yourself.
You are the light that guides your way,
You are your vehicle that drives you each day,
You are the one who closes their eyes at night,
You are the one who knows what wrong or right,
You are the one who controls what you do,
So your Saviour my friend has always been YOU.

Drama Much

Even my malice is virtuous
For I don't bring harm to those who bring harm to themselves

To my dearest friends seeking drama
I hope to to rattle you well

Your minds shifted not to how I feel
But rather to sow the seeds that impregnate your drama fields, you've something to sell

I think it time you've gotten what drama yields
So be on your merry way and merry go, someplace liken to hell

I'm immune to you like winter, I'm well layered
Like petty crooks you've taken to claw at my flesh as if digging for gold
So I've left your carcass on the road

I'm glad to say that It's far behind me
As the stench was unbearable upon sight of it's truths there laying exposed

About this poem:
At the time of this writing, I had been reflecting on the gossiping and backstabbing nature of some of my co-workers/friends I used to hang out with regularly. After much observation, It seemed to me their relationships with one another were just a pretense. Really they only enjoyed degrading one another and gaining favor within the workplace.

The Ungrateful Bird

That morning when i opened the door,
found a wounded bird crawling on the floor.
Unable to bear the pitiable sight,
my heart started feeling for the mite.
I brought the creature in at once,
assumed to have been shot by guns.
I tried my best to make him calm,
fed him water, caressed with palm.
He hopped around all the night,
with all the sufferings he had to fight.
I found it tough to leave him alone,
none of us drowsed till the dawn.
We were friends so soon,
the intimacy aided as a boon.
The gashes started healing faster,
i never let him recall the disaster.
The friend was still not ready to fly,
but i didnt realise his lust for the sky.
Unaware of his intentions, i retired to bed,
when he flew away with just sky in his head.
I wept all day i ate nothing,
with hope that he would be coming.
I kept waiting for him on & on,
T'was already late, he was long gone.

Whats Love

LOVE IS SOMTHING THE PARANORMAL CAN NOT SCARE,
THE SUPERNATURAL CANT PENETRATE,
WITCHES CANT CURSE,
SHADOWS CANT KEEP UP WITH,
DAYLIGHT MAKES WAY FOR IT,
A CHEST POUNDS WITH IT,
A HEART CAN BREAK BECAUSE OF IT,
ADRENALIN ADDS FUEL TO IT,
WHEN TWO IN LOVE TOUCH, KISMET ENERGIES ARE THROWN INTO KAOS,
A MIND BLOWING, HEAD LIGHTNESS, HEART RACING SHIVER.

THATS LOVE

The only Diamond

Not every diamond seemed as you
You always felt being a silver.
You were so precious to others,
But underestimated by self
The only Diamond
Not for no confidence, but to make it easy for people
To reach or get a diamond that queens ever wished to have.
You were so kind that none found as you,
No one loved you the way you loved to be theirs.
You were so lucky to be this diamond that
None had the intelligence to know your priceless worth,
You helped everyone to ease it for them to know you
They always failed forever.
The diamond that people valued was to be sold,
But you were being free, none got to you because you were free and priceless free

LOOKING

As another night draws out and I lay in bed alone,
I think about the stories I’ve heard, about having a happy home,
Why can’t I find that special person, to make my life complete,
Is there somewhere I must go, so my soulmate I can meet.
So much love I have to give, yet no where can I find,
Someone who can warm my heart, my soul and my mind,
Wrapped up in within my arms, to hold them Oh so tight,
When I lay in bed at times, like on this very night.
Now I’m no catch of the year, but I too deserve my chance,
To hold and kiss and never miss the feeling of romance

Who Are You

How can you introduce yourself, if you don't know yourself ?
Do you know yourself?
Who in your mind are you?
Are you who you think you are, or are you who they think you should be?
When was the last time you smiled for the reason that you surprised yourself in doing or achieving something that was not known by yourself that you could do?
Do you contemplate a change in your life for the better of yourself, or do you contemplate a change because once again someone doesn't know you?
How can you be the best at being you, if you cant answer these questions?
You cant sit on a couch or at a table where the you that everyone else knows sit's, and try to soul search where you are, what you are, why you are and most of all WHO you are.
If there is one grain of advice that can come from someone who has found themselves many times over, it is this:
Walk out of your comfort zone, don't drive, walk.
Go to a place that you have never been before, it's called "self discovery".
You can find " Self Discovery" at a location that has no people, no traffic, no signs, no buildings and no noise.
You may have to sit still for 10 minutes or more before you get there, but if you give this a try, you will find more than what you think you will.
1/ Turn everything around you off.
2/ Close all windows, blinds and doors leading to you.
3/ Lay a cushion, pillow, blanket or mat on the floor in a corner of
the room. [ NOT CENTRE ]
4/ Take a seat on the cushion, pillow, blanket or mat, facing the
corner.
5/ Close off all thought's and picture a black screen.
6/ In the middle of that black screen imagine a white pin hole.
7/ Concentrate on the pin hole and only the pin hole.
8/ Let it grow larger until your comfortable enough to know your mind
can squeeze through the centre of the hole.
9/ Now you have entered a reboot of what you think and know you
should be, picture one thing at a time and place it within the white
room that you are in. Picture a time when you smiled, hold that
thought and place it within this room, picture times when you
achieved goals by yourself and put them in this room. Think of that which makes you happy, not for someone else but for you and put
that thought into this room, this room is you, this room is why,
where ,how and who you are, fill it with happy thoughts.
10/ After feeling that you have occupied this room with everything you
can think of about yourself and what makes you tick, what makes
you happy and what makes you ,'YOU', withdraw back out of the
pinhole and let it close behind you. Sit still for a couple minutes
and reflect on what you have just accomplished within your own
mind, and the next time you have the feeling of not knowing who
you are, just remember that little white room locked away that
you can visit anytime, anywhere and find yourself again.

Sleep in peace

For all those fast asleep, dream of a new tomorrow,
Forget all about todays pain and forget all about your sorrow,
For as the new dawn breaks and the sun begins to shine,
New challenges and new beginnings, will come into your mind,
Rest easy sleeping beauty, for tonight your in no hurry,
Stay asleep and with peace you keep wake not with a worry.

DEAD RED

LIGHTING DISPERSED ITSELF ACROSS THE SKY, THUNDER HULLABALOO’S ITS NAME,
AGAIN A BOLT CATCHES MY EYE, BUT THIS WAS NOT THE SAME.
FOR IT STRETCHED OUT FIFTY MILES OR MORE THEN THE COLOUR TURNED TO RED,
AN OCCURRENCE I HAD NOT WITNESSED BEFORE, MY MIND RUPTURED IN MY HEAD.
I COLLAPSED ABRUPTLY ON MY KNEES, MY HANDS TIGHTLY COVERING MY EARS,
PRESSURE IN MY HEAD STARTED TO SQUEEZE, BLOOD WAS IN MY TEARS.
MY TORSO FELT READY TO BURST, I CATERWAULED IN AGONISING PAIN,
THEN ONCE MORE LIKE THE FIRST, RED LIGHTING CAME AGAIN.
THE INTENSITY OF ANOTHER BOLT THREW ME ON MY BACK,
THEN MY FRAME GAVE A JOLT, I FELT MY NECK TWIST AND CRACK.
I HEARD MY BREATHING SLOW RIGHT DOWN AND THEN IT STOPPED ALL TOGETHER,
I FELT AS THOUGH BEING LIFTED OFF THE GROUND, I FELT AS LIGHT AS A FEATHER.
NO REASONING HAD I BEEN TOLD OF WHY I WAS TAKEN THAT NIGHT,
BUT TRULY NOW I KNOW MY SOUL, IS PART OF AN ONGOING FIGHT.
AS RED LIGHTENING AND HOLLOWING THUNDER, SHOOT THROUGH THE NIGHT TIME SKY,
TURN AWAY DON’T MAKE THE BLUNDER IN HEAVENS BUSINESS DON’T YOU PRY.

The Walker

I WALK ALONE AND EAT ALONE WITH NO-ONE BY MY SIDE,
DRIVERS SHAKING THEIR HEADS AT ME AS I TURN DOWN EVERY RIDE.
FOR IN A CAR OR IN A TRUCK YOU JUST CAN NOT SEE ENOUGH,
I WOULD RATHER WALK THIS COUNTRY ALONE THIS COUNTRY THAT’S SO ROUGH.
TO SEE THE MORNING SUN RISE FROM ATOP ITS EARTHY BED,
TO FEEL ITS MIGHTY HEAT AS IT RESTS ABOVE MY HEAD.
THE SOUNDS OF ALL THAT’S OUT HERE IS ALL I EVER NEED,
IT’S WHEN IM ALONE OUT HERE I FEEL THAT I’VE BEEN FREED.
FREED FROM ALL THE NOISES AND HASSELS OF CITY LIFE,
OUT HERE I CAN DO AS I LIKE AND NEVER GET IN STRIFE.
TO SEE THE NIGHT TIME FALL AND THE STARS BEGIN TO SHINE,
YOU CAN LOOK IN ANY PICTURE BOOK BUT A PRETTIER PICTURE YOU’LL NOT FIND.
SO IF YOU CARE TO TAKE A DRIVE ALONG THIS GREAT OLD TRACK,
YOU HAD BETTER PACK ALL YOUR THINGS FOR YOU WILL NEVER WANT TO TURN BACK.
AND IF YOU’RE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AND A WALKER YOU DO SEE,
DON’T BOTHER TO STOP TO OFFER A LIFT BECAUSE IT’LL PROBABLY ME ONLY ME.

About this poem:
I have walked/Backpacked over 11,000 kilometres in Australia since my first walk at 14yo, Adelaide-Tenant Creek, and the one thing that kept me company was my writing of Aussie poems, this was one of my best because it summed it up exactly.
