Growin' Up Moments prompted by 'The Willow Tree'

'Twas a sunny day, and a warm week-end,
Hard at play, just me, and my best friend.
As white as the snow, he and I e'ver did play,
"Bunny' is his name, 'twas simple as the day.

Floppy ears noted, with the help of a magic pen,
Silly me, he's tamed; knew him form the rest of kin.
Except for this day, to my bitter disappointment,
'Bunny' 'tis ne'er to be found; I wail; I lament.

Then running to the sound of the hide-and-seek tree,
I witness in horror, what's been done to 'Bunny' and me.
My pal, my bestest, he's the latest of animals progeny,
My Dad, I'm hatin', he believes he's providin' sustenany.

I "cry me a river," cause I am so unbelievin' sad,
At the loss I suffered, albeit at the hands of my Dad.
Were we that hungry; were we that so freakin' poor,
To snuff 'Bunny's life, of that I'm still not sure.

Thank god!

Thank you God for this new day. And all the blessings that comes my way. Lord shield me don't lead me astray. For you're immortal, i man-of-clay. Let your holy spirit guide if you may. Secure me: by keeping the tempter at bay. Indeed lord you have the final say. This in name of Jesus i pray. Amen!

Haikus

Question not the way
I care only know that I
Will always love you.

Gazing in wonder
I stood frozen in delight
As morning awoke.

Will love you always
deep inside my heart and
ever more in time.

Poets I greet your
comments warmly and read your
fine words happily.

oh what a dilema

or burger and chips with lots of sauce
should i have pudding with lots of sauce

oh what a dilema
who should i ask
if i have chips ill get big if i have pie ill get big
oh what a dilema i dont want to get big

I Like You, Haiku

Once sprayed by a skunk
Funny now, but then I stunk
Covered me in gunk

It's hard not to rhyme
In daytime or in nightime
Haiku's pass the time

About this poem:
A haiku attempt that couldn't shy away from rhyming. I think it is more of a challenge to rhyme within syllable guidelines, it's a lot more fun, too. I really was sprayed in the eyes by a skunk when I was twelve, and strangely enough, my vision has always been great!

Good Year Haiku

Steel glints autumn sun
Golden harvest gathering
This year no hunger
