I have a regular morning routine from Monday to Friday: Get up at 5:00 am., have a cup of tea and a slice of toast, then brush my teeth, Make a sandwich to take to work, and go out of the door at 6:00 am. feeling utterly miserable.

Myself, I mostly worked night shifts, and over the years just got accustomed to that, I have worded days as well, But I never, ever liked it.. As you said, I felt miserable...
I get up at 6.30 week days to take my son to school... I just accept that this is what I have to do and I have no problem adapting to this routine... Almost never feel like breakfast before 11...but have a couple of large decaf coffees...and some good music...
Morning person here I wake up between 3-3:30am every morning .... after that who knows I make a mental things to do list every night before I go to sleep(it relaxes me), and the second thing I do in the morning is throw it away Caring for a parent with dementia has taught me to expect the unexpected.
I am a morning person for sure, have simple breakfast yogurt, with live culture in topped with raw oats and dried fruit. Good to go.
Household chores as it is still very early, then off for 3 mile walk, come home by lunch time, then maybe keep fit for 15mins then read with good book. Day over
