Please don’t use my posts to further your agenda against Mercedes or anyone else. She is well liked by many on CS, including me – even though I don’t always agree with her. I used that as an example of the OP's past behaviour towards people because it was the one I remembered. If someone posts a comment about another person on a public forum, how is that going behind that person’s back? The person can refute the post at any time. If I had posted that the Op makes disparaging comments about England, would you have started your rant about past history? Probably. it's not lady like and good manners cost nothingWeirdly enough I never swear in Spanish, my mother tongue because we never swore at home (apart from my Dad) and so expressing myself with swear words is not part of what I do in Spanish. And so when the occasion warrants such language (in my opinion) I usually swear in French, my 2nd language or English, my 3rd language! In French my swearing is a bit more limited than in English. My husband had a colourful language when he was pissed off and so I have a rather varied list to pick from in English. I was a very good student at picking up new vocabulary

I don't see any language as a difficulty though sometimes I may require a translation. Being a potty mouth isn't quite the same thing as trashing others and I'm curious why it is posted this way? Nah I'm not that curious.
For me there is nothing more delicious than a decently fed potty mouth moment where body parts become throbbing living creatures in and of themselves. I feel inclined to be very potty mouth right now but I'll spare you all the joy of that moment.

There are no swear words in the Welsh language, although some English insults can be translated. It's like defamation by Google translate.I like English swear words for their complexity, versatilty and nuance. Swearing in German can be emotionally evocative and cathartic; gutteral utterances that originate in your boots.
Being shocked, or disturbed by a word on the basis of convention, is not the same as finding a word unacceptible because of it's context. I have a friend who likes to wind me up just to hear me caling him a baahstard in my posh, English accent, but I doubt anyone would like to hear me say it in anger.

I considered whether or not to respond to this but given you have apparently taken interest in my career path previously, I thought it would be impolite not to.As 2022 ticked over, I continued musing on the fact that I reach retirement age in December this year.
I was still finding my role in the disability sector very rewarding and had no concerns around job security.
As had happened on previous occasions, in March a team leader role became available within my organisation; I hadn't considered applying before as I was content with my role at the 'coalface'.
However this time I had a think about it and decided to apply, reasons being that I don't have to retire until I'm ready, also, fresh challenges can be invigorating and help to prevent burn out that you don't always see coming.
So since early April, I have been managing a team of eight (including three newbies) who perform the role that I had previously.
It's a whole lot of hard work lol but I absolutely adore it and still have regular F2F contact with the vulnerable people in my community
Happy days.
