RE: FBI introduces 'rat on your family member' program

@la bohem: Y2K - I worked 9 months on that project at $100 per hour - and discovered nothing at all. At the same time I did issue an update to my own law-office software which was written in Microsoft Basic and which did indeed have a problem recognising 00 as 2000 and not 1900. Andersen Consulting charged some $300m to the Australian Insurance/Finance company AMP for doing not a lot. When I quit saying how boring it was, the manager said 'but you learnt our methodology' and I laughed and said 'that was even more boring!' Y2K was an exercise in pointlessness.

RE: confused about the vaccine

@mic Lefties Caught Up In A Covid Cult ...
You are so obsessed with this left right thing. Get real - humans are humans, you can find whatever statistics you want, but there is nothing meaningful in it, nor in what you post.

RE: What life would really be like if the Left got their way

but you see (you do, don't you) if you turned the mirror around it would be the other side of the same face - people have to learn to live with difference.

RE: Concerning the non existence of god

A non-existent god can scarcely be an agent can they? Try being logical.

RE: Concerning the non existence of god

@OP that's nonsense - what people have done in the name, under the guise of the concept, is not the concept but the people using the concept. You confuse the concept with the action.

RE: Why does NK do this?

Just a question, when did the American military last fire of an inter-ballistic rocket? Did anyone remark on it? If not, why not?

RE: confused about the vaccine

@bohe usually there is an element of 'moaning' involved in whingeing/whinging - I am neither complaining nor moaning but straightforwardly criticising. People who expound nonsensical theories should pointed out. The op wrote on the topic of vaccine, @mic attacked Gates (indirectly oif course) and should be criticised. Stay on topic.

RE: confused about the vaccine

@OP Why Gates? Because he and his Ex are in charge of a foundation that has been trying to eliminate certain diseases from Africa, malaria, polio, lung disease, tropical disease. Whilst he is not the medical expert he is a spokesperson for an important and influential foundation with substantial involvement in vaccine and research.

RE: Election fraud tactics?.....

@lcbr 'beating him hands down at every turn' - well in your imagination, I can believe you may think so; I would equate such a decision to that given in Bradley's first fight against Pacquiao: 'We wuz robbed'

The entire fraud lie has led to disbarment and repeated rejection. The OP was a bs-artist, and I assure the other commenter that the OP is neither missed nor forgiven (certainly not by me). The detested are best rested.

RE: I've Not Seen Merc Here Lately - (aka "A Prior Chatting Blog")

Permit me to add another Sydney eccentric, I was struggling to remember her name, but there you go, it popped into mind! Bea Miles - Miles' most notorious escapades involved taxi drivers. She regularly refused to pay fares. Some drivers refused to pick her up and she would sometimes damage the cab in retaliation, including reputedly ripping a door off its hinges once. In 1955, Miles took a taxi to Perth, Western Australia and back. This time she did pay the fare, A£600. She was arrested many times and claimed to have been "falsely convicted 195 times, fairly 100 times". The quotes are for those (many) who cannot be bothered reading a Wiki article.

RE: Covid Vaccine is 'Creating Variants'

@op Selective indeed - a graph where something didn't exist then it did, and then a vaccine was introduced, but that is not portrayed. Your graph has zero releveance to a vaccine. Mine shows how a disease climbed and was overcome, almost completely, without anything more than minimal effects until 2018, when as I said, a derived virus did indeed emerge, and hence ro by-mouth vaccine was dropped.

RE: Election fraud tactics?.....

@MrBo - no it's not! speak for yourself!

RE: Covid Vaccine is 'Creating Variants'

@op in your graph of polio cases/deaths you are extremely selective; I spoke of SALK. Here is a more accurate picture. There was indeed a subsequent outbreak in Africa, though I doubt your selective graph reflects the true picture. Now the modified/enhanced Salk vaccine is tthe goto. Might I suggest you read a little more carefuly.

Emperor Norton was an interesting listen, and indeed some of what he said or wrote was well thought, well spoken, well written.

Sydney to had it's eccentric but memorable figures - Mister Eternity is an example

I remember seeing his chalked Eternity on Sydney pavements back in the early 60s before Vietnam.

RE: Mango... another season!

Incidentally ...
{QUOTE]
“Passionfruit is available all year round but has two key flushes, in summer and winter. Their exotic flavour brings an exciting freshness to winter favourites such as porridge for breakfast, a roast dinner or pudding for dessert.”
“To ensure you are enjoying the best fruit, pick passionfruit that is smooth, plump and heavy for it’s size. It is a myth that passionfruit are only ripe when they are wrinkled. In fact, when wrinkly it means the fruit is starting to show signs of dehydration.”
“In addition to being a refreshing and fragrant fruit, passionfruit is a good source of fibre, a source of vitamin C and low in kilojoules,” added Tina.

RE: Concerning the non existence of god

and as for claiming 'deep philosophy' in this regard, I consider both the question and the answers as trite and trivial, just as I regard the nonsense 'christ is unique' and god is great threads ... bosh. That includes mine, my responses, aiya why bother! Well occasionally I can amuse myself thus laughing a little.

RE: Concerning the non existence of god

RE: Concerning the non existence of god

@lcbr google search is clearly not your top skill then, is it? Simple addition of keywords or hints like 'wiki' 'synonym' 'origin' or 'meaning' help search engines enormously. You didn't turn up Harding? Ok, but it is one of my knacks, and we can cross it off the candidate challenges, can't we?

RE: Concerning the non existence of god

@mic Grandmaster bloviator? Harding and Trump Yes - and Vierkaesehoch ranks far far higher than I could ever aspire to in this attainment. The first and last time I will use this word.
