Gone, I saw that too. While the video called it a helicopter, it's actually a giant drone. Not the first and not a new concept, but getting FAA certification is a huge step.
Yes, I first saw it was Japanese farmers/gardeners who started the procedure of growing square watermelons. They created a metal cage to restrict the growth of the watermelons into the square shape, but the problem with the original cage was the bars would leave impressions on the outside. That process changed to thick wall plastic cages and the result was smooth sides with rounded corners!
Good article that describes some of the questionable (and possible illegal) things Ron is doing. Thanks.
DeSantis is facing scrutiny over his use of government resources in Texas. He visited the Texas-Mexico border, his campaign posted a photo of him standing in front of a helicopter owned by the Texas department of public safety. It’s not clear who paid for the effort, but Texas ethics rules bar the use of state resources to assist in a political campaign. As a candidate for president, DeSantis is also required to pay “fair market value” for non-commercial flights.
DeSantis signed a law in Florida making it more difficult to track his travel and see who is paying for it while he campaigns for president, keeping his job as Florida Governor. It's alleged he illegally/unlawfully transferred $82.5 million last month to a super PAC supporting his presidential campaign.
I started in manufacturing at an early age and sometimes worked for large companies with more than 200 employees. Nearly all of the company owners of these successful businesses never made it to college! One had only a few years of college and was running 3 companies that grossed over $75 million. Maybe he learned by 'street-smarts', but it did him well.
I've heard a few times that you can get a better education abroad. That said, not all educational systems are equal and the opposite would explain why many medical students come to America to study here. Something they cannot get at home.
With all the stories I've heard, none have mentioned recovering any of the cellphones or video equipment the explorers had with them. I'm sure they were all shooting live video when the implosion happened.
Public Display of Affection? I suppose there is a time and a place for everything. Personal Digital Assistant? I had a Casio Cassiopeia long before I had a cellphone.
I'll be back in a few hours, but this came to mind...
Great respect for those who when to a technical trade school and have certification for it. Electricians, Plumbers, Air conditioning technicians who learned skills (in an intensive environment) specific to what they wanted to do in life and it's okay (with me) they didn't learn about the 1808 war between the Spanish and French that may have been a requirement had they gone to a 4-year college.
Good. A while back I noticed a significant the number of total blogs dropping. I used to report the number of total blogs and my blog count at the bottom of each blog and compare it to my next blog. Sometimes a few hundred would disappear each day. If CS is saving space on their servers, I can understand. If they are losing data, they need to do backups and upgrade their hardware.
Crazyheart, thanks for the comment. Less than 10% of my blogs are political and they often get the best response. So having people complain about political blogs makes no sense if that's what they comment on.
I'll say it again, I blog on lots of different topics and since they are my blogs, I'm responsible for their content. Many are music, food, news, health, science or weather related. Getting comments isn't my goal. I do them because I enjoy it.
One current project is in a condo on the beach, I posted a cool ocean view photo and no one commented.
Father's Day greeting got one comment that disappeared.
Rock & Roll Hall of Fame... no comments.
Food... Sticky Rice had a few comments that all but one disappeared.
A photo visualization of Anne Boleyn, the second wife of King Henry VIII of England, got no comments.
Right now, I'm seeing a high percentage of gossip and hate filled blogs by other members. I choose to avoid them and not give them the participation of what they are looking for. If other members complain about the blogs 'going to hell' yet continue to post blogs like that, by definition that makes them hypocrites.
My friend had surgery and his prostate was removed. More than 8 weeks of recuperation and he has some issues.
Someone I worked for more than 10 years ago contacted me. He described stage 4 cancer, had his prostate removed and is undergoing treatments. Last week, he had another chemo shot.
The local model aviation club has more than 350 members and sad news came Friday. One of the founding members had battled with prostate cancer more than 14 years, died from the disease.
Independence Day weekend...
I rarely delete comments. Historically, when I do they cry about me on other blogs. You got your soapbox and urinated on my blog to make your point...
Something so important should have a blog of it's own... can you take a hint?
In the spirit of celebrating independence, Happy 4th of July!
