Changing your worldview of the Universe

Well there is a fair collection of his public lectures on youtube. I used to read some transcripts of stuff he said to colleagues and some of it got much heavier and more esoteric than this. He had started his own work on picking up the information angle, linking it to how a computer works and figuring out the 'source code' when he died. LoL, possibly a good thing because we are still here. If his speculation about a Universal Consciousness has any basis in reality, what happens to us if something startles it awake?

RE: THE TRUE YAHSURA

Exactly correct. Since many of your blogs specifically mention the Catholic Church, talking about how and why it was created is appropriate. Yes, the Apostate Churches were indeed being persecuted before that. Fed to lions while crowds cheered in fact. However, those groups had no Bible, just a collection of different scrolls and teachings. Emperor Constantine picked one of the groups, a mix of the scrolls to make the first Bible and simply discarded the rest to make the Roman Catholic Church. Even after the creation of the Catholic Church the persecution of early Apostate Christians who preached the words of the other, non-approved scrolls continued. Elsewhere in your blogs I name some of the other forms of Catholics who survived in spite of Constantine because their leaders were not caught by his soldiers and not all of their scrolls were destroyed. Catholic Church of Thomas in India for instance. Coptic (Persian not Roman Empire based) Catholics, etc. Many of those non-Roman Catholic Churches never fell into the trap of a White Jesus and their images are of a darker skinned Jesus. You just don't hear much of them here in the US.

RE: Snake?

Carina, enlarge the pictures up. Notice the bloody holes in the snakes. Cat teeth go in one side and out the other. 2 different cats. Neither one likes snakes. They just like bringing them too me as a rent payment. :)

RE: Snake?

I would also give very serious thought to putting up some game or trail cameras near the chicken pen. You may be surprised to learn what comes snooping around when you aren't in sight.

Embedded image from another site

Even Walmart carries trail cameras (sporting goods section) and a quick google of trail or game camera gives a broad variety of models with different features and widely differing prices. Choose the appropriate ones.

On dealing with weasels (although the consumption pattern you describe may rule that out as weasels like to leave half eaten carcass behind, try

RE: What am I affraid of?

Should have called the police and gone to a hospital for a blood test as soon as you woke up. Slipping Rufies into a person's drink is a big, big, no no in most states. Course being a decade ago, not much to be done about it now other than do what the other ladies do and go with drinks you can trust and watch. Carry the drink with you when walking around and trust very few, not even uther women.

RE: THE TRUE YAHSURA

You don't have to like it. Whether or not it makes sense to you 1,700 years later is not a concern of what was. Govt.s keep records and it is Rome who taught us to do that. The First Council of Nicea in 324-325 is a fact of history. So too is the Bible and other documents that came out of that government ordered meeting.

So too is the Roman Empire seizing control and renaming of the Church founded by Peter, and an appointment of a Pope and See in the different Districts of the Roman Empire. Fact is, it was a brilliant move by Constantine. That Church had pitifully few adherents left alive at the time of the meeting, so for them to be blessed by an Emperor and established as an official Empire wide organization was clearly a win, while the small caveats Constantine required were of no long-term consequence to them. They were to be his spies, tell the people not rendering taxes to Cesar was a sin, and they would enforce his marriage edicts and ban divorce, in return they would not be simply killed by the soldiers as many objecting to the discarding and re-writing of scrolls priests, bishops, etc. were.

RE: The other sad day... :(

Well I understand the rush of emotions that news could bring. However, it is an apology from them. Do not worry about why they decided that. Just accept it and that there has been no long term damage to your parent's love for you. Frankly, I believe you should view it as good news.teddybear

Yeah, whenever I get super duper bored. Often many of the bloggers here have gone to bed by now, but the forum crazies are just getting warmed up at this time.

RE: Yeshua under attack

Heretic me, I still believe in arinism.

RE: women of today

Ekself, again we agree. Previously, for a good life most women had to get married. At best, they were scorned if they didn't. Old maid and derisive terms like that. Often no marriage meant no protector and also since for a very long time women were only allowed certain kinds of work, not much food either. Often women were not allowed to own anything either. In many places those things have changed. So now, the question for a woman contemplating marriage becomes, why on Earth would I wish to do that?

Changing your worldview of the Universe

Ekself, quite possibly so. Bohm is saying it here is about changing our perspective from just looking at a leaf to understanding that everything you could possibly wish to know about the tree is there in that leaf, also about other trees nearby too.

Changing your worldview of the Universe

Also, although not discussed in this particular video, Bohm believed that all of creation can be viewed as being akin to a onion, with each of the 11 dimensions being one more concentric ring layer or onion skin. At the center would lay 'an effective central charge' and what we view as the Universe we live in would be the outer skin.

This would have applications for instant quantum effects at a distance as the effects would go through the sphere's center and out again from there rather than be forced to slowly travel around the outside of the sphere. Note also every part of the Universe we can perceive is part of the same outer onion skin.

Where Bohm's theories bordered on Heresy was his position that if the Universe is just information that can be expressed mathematically, and it carries charges (or quantum effects) and processes information and reacts to information (i.e., changes in states of matter), then it may be possible to argue that the Universe itself is a living organism.

Bohm died before the tying together of alternative Cosmological String Theories about the nature of the Universe into the current M Theory (see for M theory), however there still exists no true conflict as Bohm's onion skin approach was a visualization simplification for sake of understanding the structure of this Universe, rather than an attempt to describe all possible alternative realities and how they inter relate.

Changing your worldview of the Universe

Socrates - That is a good explanation from my perspective, but I have been wading through quantum stuff for decades.

Angel let me try it another way. Amongst other concepts Bohm is saying we make a mistake by viewing things separately if trying to understand the whole Universe. He is saying any part of this Universe can lead to an understanding of the entirety of it because it all follows the same behavior (i.e., laws of physics). If for instance you were astute and understanding enough, you could pick up a grain of sand at any beach and just from the information in it, know of the moons of the 4th planet out from the star Antares while also knowing, if Antares should even have a 4th planet, much less a moon. Bohm believed each piece of the Universe contained all of the information needed to make up an identical Universe, just in fuzzier and fuzzier detail as the piece grows smaller.

Putting it another way, you and I are fragments of humanity. If one of us is examined some conclusions applicable to all of humanity may be gleaned. Fifty years or so ago a human examiner would probably conclude all humans probably have two arm, 2 legs, eyes, ears, a brain, a heart, etc. Today because our understanding is greater we could probably make some generalizations regarding DNA, and isotopic examination of your atoms would probably verify which planet we come from. Some generalizations about life on earth could possibly also be made. Oxygen content of the atmosphere, gravitational pull from the structure of the bones, and a bunch of other stuff ancient people didn't know to look for. So in this fashion all of us are representative not only of the whole structure of our Universe, but also of humanity as a whole and also representative of the entire Universe as we are a tiny, tiny, tiny part of it. Sure we would be different from each other, but this is why the process of sampling usually involves taking more than just one sample. The more samples collected, the more accurately generalizations about humanity could be made with a better picture of it resulting. Each of us is not only a part of the whole, but also contains all of the information needed to understand the whole.

RE: THE TRUE YAHSURA

But to that we must ask whose history?

Hebrew history, sure. But who was stronger, Hercules or Atlas? Was Samson stronger than Atlas or Hercules? Other areas have other strong men. The scripture treats those parts of the world as if they existed not, but they did. Who was a mightier warrior? Joshua or Gilgamesh? The Bible doesn't provide a hint.

RE: pressure

I experienced the reverse pressure. Mom was afraid I would marry below what she perceived as being worthy of me. So whatever she could do to discourage my romances, she did. LoL I didn't experience the pressure to get married until I hit my 40s and that came from Dad, not Mom.

RE: :(

Well the first way I would have discouraged him is to say, you have nothing I am interested in and I don't want you to call me anymore.' Then I would have hung up.

Instead you talked with him for two hours just to see what he had to say, so maybe you are interested I think...

RE: Cook on wood Cook Stove?

LoL, we certainly agree about the ash box. What I suspect happens is an empty ash box is a reservoir of cold air beneath the fire. Ok, the classic physics of that maybe don't mesh because heat goes up, not down, but I still think that is the problem. I have indeed seen that the stove works better with a full ash bin, and best all when the ash bin has hot ashes. Point of fact, sometimes when starting out I put charcoals into my ash bin and ignite them. When those charcoals are burning, then I build my wood fire above that.

Yes the prior owners of this house located the wood stove about 1.5 feet away from the wall and put bricks under its feet to isolate it from the floor. This allows radiates of the heat which is fine when it is hot, but like I wrote getting hot takes awhile.

BTW, Heartland here.

RE: PEACE EVERYONE

Now that this is resolved. Madame President, may we please nuke or at least heavy gamma ray burst Antarctica before the penguins become a major threat to our way of life? (My first suggestion for wildlife control.)

RE: Just for kicks- Where my life is now.

So anyway, one of the men living in my life time came to my attention back in the early 1980s when he took his heavy work in quantum physics (he was at the time the head of the physics department of Oxford University) and began to apply it to Cosmology. Like Tesla his public writings are scarce. However, also like Tesla he gave lectures and talks. To say they contained new truths may be an understatement. I can (from personal observation) attest there were some in both the US and Soviet energy research agencies who paid a lot of attention. Some machines (whose prototypes were initially developed by Tesla and Edison) were used to record some of the talks. The man was David Bohm 1992. He was working on putting it all together into a book about a Holistic approach to the Universe when he died at 75.

You very much may wish to research him further. This youtube page contains some interviews with him.

RE: "LOOKING BACK ON YESTERDAY"

Durn Nam, once again you beat me too it.

I got maudlin today flipping through an old school yearbook and looking at now dead classmates and friends. Therefore I was toying with the idea of a blog asking how many of us over 40 or 50 had best friends, who were not family members, who had passed on, and what were the most poignant aspects of the passing. But your blog remembering the musicians who passed in our lives is just as good. As the song says, they have one Hell of a band in Heaven. Probably a fairly good one in Hell too. laugh

RE: Happy Weekend all.........

I have updated tomorrow for you. Hope you enjoy it. yay rolling on the floor laughing

RE: THE TRUE YAHSURA

It was much more complicated than you make it sound. I understand where you are coming from, and you are right

From the earliest days the Church had to convert folk to it's ways.

As Apostolistic Christianity was converted into the new Roman Catholic Christianity the first way was to usurp Pagan Holidays and Pagan rituals into the new official Church of the Roman Empire. Remember the new Roman Catholic Church was a creation of the Eastern Emperor of Rome. The bulk of the people where he ruled were of darker complexion than the Europeans. Mithra had been a popular sun God of many of his soldiers born locally. The symbol of Mithra was a Maltese style cross. This part of the conversion was fairly simple. There was no need yet to change the complexion of the new God in the Eastern Roman Empire. The problem began when Rome began to export their new religion North and West into the Gaul and Celt territories. For those folk to join, they needed a God they could relate to.

You can see from the map at

that by the year 800 as the Roman Catholic Church set its eyes on new targets (converts) in Germany and the place we know now as England, the potential difficulty in getting those fair skinned White Pagan tribes to accept a new dark skinned God. What would they have in common? The solution was obvious. Make the man on the cross look like one of the targets for conversion. Thus began the White Jesus. Later on (a few hundred more years) within those same territories came the splits we know as the Church of England and Protestantism. Those new Churches had no need to change the appearance of their God and Jesus stayed as White as the congregation of those places was.

It is important to remember that just as not all Christians are Catholic, so too are not all Catholics, Roman Catholic. The church has split many times and many of the splits have themselves split. We have Roman Catholic (traces back to Peter), Eastern Orthodox Catholic (traces back to Paul), Oriental Orthodox (accepts both Paul and Peter as founders) Assyrian Church of the East (traces their beginnings back to the Apostles Thaddeus, Bartholomew and Thaddeus and was sited in the Persian Empire, not the Roman Empire), Saint Thomas Christian Church of India (trace their origins to the Apostle Thomas). All of them are considered Catholic, but there are many differences between them, including more than one Pope and more than one Holy See. That list is not complete and there are other forms of Catholicism. It is worth noting that Catholic Churches outside of Roman Catholic control frequently have depictions of Jesus with local features and complexion.

RE: True And Only Path To God (Repost)

Socrates, regarding those born before the Christ, as well as those who had not heard the word before they died, there are several Bible passages dealing with those folk. As I mentioned in some other blogs Revelations 20:4 and Revelations 20:11-12 would be appropriate for those folk.
