GG, this is simplicity itself. Dump the Campbells broth into the crock pot. I add a cup of water, but the instructions say it isn't needed. I do it anyway. Take the string off the roast. Add the roast to the crock pot. Cover and turn it on low. Come back in 7 hours. The roast will just flake apart by fork. Ladle your serving over rice or cooked potato. Delicious.
Yep, she beat my meal. I diced potatoes and onions made home fries, then 3 eggs over easy with some parmesian cheese sprinkled on them. Didn't even think of Rose tea. Had silly coffee instead.
Itchy, my cats don't like hot things nor are they good with heavy crock pot lids. So the food was safe. Of course I was quickly surrounded once the cooking was done. It developed that only one of them likes the Luau sauce. He ate well though consuming the other guys as well as his own pork.
Kal at this time of the year your location is a little warmer than this place. Different growing seasons too.
Well I had two plates. The first over rice with some greens, the second over a crushed microwaved potato. Both were really good. I look forward to lunch today. :)
You risk seeing snow at all of those choices. The variation is the latitude and longitude. On November and early December days when it snows in New York, Washington, DC often gets light rain or nothing at all except sun. Alternatively, when it snows in Washington, even light flurries, New York gets hammered and buried. That being said, generally in both areas although the cold days are approaching, at that time of the year the weather is usually fairly mild with temps between 40 - 70 Fahrenheit. Sometimes there are days well beyond that range. Storm fronts blowing down from Canada can really lower temperatures, but quiet weather can dump an 80 degree day into the middle of a cold week. In both areas, the time for foliage has pretty much ended and November winds remove most leaves from the trees. Grass has usually assumed a winter brown.
Of course from half a planet away there isn't much I can do. Were you closer I would say come help me cook dinner (Pork Luau tonight) and pull up a chair for tonight.s Walking Dead and Boardwalk Empire.
Well I had one once. It required me to dump a lot of bad habits to make it work, but I did so. Then the plan suddenly fell apart. Death does that. Now before making the next plan I need to rediscover who I am. Working on that..
I hate having a broken ankle and not being able to walk anywhere. Even going to the mailbox or simply buying groceries is discomforting and violating doctor's orders. I so look forward to November when there is a chance of this silly cast coming off..
LoL, current scandal is the US gave Mexico millions of dollars to fix things. Mexico then turned around and paid the fee for many Mexicans illegally here in the US to get US work Visas so they wouldn't have to come back to Mexico. Guess that was fixing things in Mexico's eyes. :)
You asked about education causing cancer. That it is college you worried about is not important. Children get stressed to. Clearly if grown up education causes cancer in adults, kiddie education may cause cancer in the children. We do not know why you refuse to consider education is education regardless of age. You must protect your children today and throw away their school books. They will love you for it.
I couldn't care less about punishment. I am much more interested in keeping them out. We should seal both of our borders and make it a DMZ. On the one hand you post about banning flights coming here direct from the Ebola lands (which ignores that no US Carrier goes there anyway), but on the other hand you propose opening the land borders to a never to end flood of refugee children.
You need to be more consistent and focus on humanity inside our own borders first. We have thousands of our own children growing up with murders in their neighborhood. Let us heal them first.
After 40 years of occupation a heck of lot of Germans speak excellent English, also we still have soldiers and their families living there. Not as many as before 2000, but still thousands of them along with many shopkeepers who speak this devil tongue.
Well, is this really worse than when Saudi Arabia sentenced some dude to death for witchcraft because he wore a necklace with his astrological sign on it?
Is it different than the string of gruesome murders of folks accused of being witches flashing across East Java?
And least we think such 8th century barbarism is limited to the Muslims, remember Du’a Khalil Aswad who had her head smashed in by a cinderblock wielded by a crowd of over 500 Yazidi men because she talked to a boy not of their tribe. The cell phone video proudly posted on the Internet by her murderers.
Aww, Dino went away. :( Guess he thought he was so old no one would remember him. I remember him. He came to my HS back in the 60s and took the prettiest girl in the school to Vegas to sing on his show. Had her on his show one or two times, then turned her over to some entertainment industry buddies who literally destroyed her.
Yep another paragon of honesty has vanished.
Lou, I think you got it regarding the empty lives of some of the banned.
Cat, I never shop for a cat. All of mine came here as blue eyed kittens by either being found in my woods (Dust Bunny) or just showed up at my door (well Herb tried to chew his way through a bed room window screen to eat us) as kittens and demanded entry. So their colors (and there have been many) has never been set by me. Nor do I care as their personality is not set by fur color.
Interesting thing about fur patterns and cats. Geneticists making clones of cats have learned fur patterns and colors is not determined by the DNA but by something more elusive. Cats can be exact clones, but have totally different fur patterns.
Seagulls can fly backwards and hover also. They use much less energy to do so however (and make it look effortless too). If you have ever walked on the beach and fed seagulls you may have seen such behavior from the one hovering in front of you demanding his own piece of bread as you walk forward.
My biggest regret is not objecting more forcefully when a doctor misdiagnosed Flu and refused to give my wife Tamaflu while the symptoms were still mild. I should have insisted he be removed from her care.
RE: what your favorite beverage/drink in cold season?
Hot Chocolate with (real) whipped cream.
