Live in companion, in America covers a really broad spectrum of definition and life style. Yes, sometimes it means shack up, sometimes it means this person sleeps on a towel under the kitchen table and in return for XYZ they also have sink privileges (but nothing else). Also everything in between.
Actually there was an error IMO. When I was a kid growing up it was understood a corporation was a legal entity, a personna (which is a little different than being a person). Somewhere along the line a corporation mutated from being a personna to being a person. Corporations need to go back to what it was originally intended, doing business as <Name>, not this nonsense of being a person. The Supreme Court blew it.
Yeah, don't know what it is about some cultures with that friend thing. I got a bunch of friend requests most of them from 2 specific countries. Zero communication with any of those wannabes. Of course I just ignore the requests.

There are movies about that. I forget the name of the very entertaining one about the lions and the stranded family, but also Ft. Apache, The South Bronx comes to mind. I used to live there back then and it was a pretty accurate reflection of my neighborhood. You really didn't want your car to even slow down on some streets, much less just stop.
All of us should note that deleting a blog here does NOT auto delete it from the 100s of search engines that already captured it. On several occasions I have been able to find stuff supposedly deleted with careful searching via search engines.

LoL, I have been to Europe too. It was at the time (politically correct propaganda aside) to me not much better than the rest of the '3rd world'. Back in those days (60s and 70s), shared toilets in the hotels, men who urinated in fountains, 14 year old drunks, etc., etc. The 'Fast' of Ramadan is to me a calling of a rose a daisy. Eat at night only is not, to me, a Fast. Don't eat for a week would be a Fast. To me, anything that simply says change your eating schedule isn't much of a Fast, not if you still get to eat.
Thinking it through.., for the ceiling mounted sprinkler system 50 feet up to self activate, the flames would probably already have to be 20 feet high at least. Might be a little late by then.
LoL, there is a sprinkler system. Smoking is prohibited in there of course. Recall the occasional alcoves between the stacks I mentioned. They come and go as rolls are added or removed. Sometimes cigarette butts have been found on the ground where the alcoves were. There are chemicals too, some flammable. I suspect the local FD would just evacuate the area and wait a few days before doing more. I know that would be my approach to those stacks of rolls and tanks of chemicals.
Nam, yeah even the smallest rolls can go 800 lbs. They usually put them on top of the bigger rolls. The red in the photo is a roll that was so badly damaged by an earlier collision that a (red) metal support shield has been placed to buttress the support of the upper rolls. We have many like that. Especially at aisle intersections where one speeding forklift will dodge a forklift going the other way. Bump. The yellow is a (cracked) plastic buttress around one of the roof supports. Usually both the red and yellow shields bear evidence of many subsequent collisions.
LoL, Nam sometimes we get so many of them there are 4 or 5 trailers told go away and come back later because we have no more room for them. This aisles stack is short cause the roof there is low. I have seen them stacked 6 or 7 high and when a fork lift smashes or backs into the bottom roll and the stack wobbles and the top roll moves out a foot, everyone near just holds their breath.

@ Hans We don't have that situation. Compensation for a death, loss of an eye, or a hand, etc. is fixed by statute at about $50G and this state even has a cap on the maximum of a medical malpractice claim ($250,000 I believe). So it is a license to have a dangerous place for the corporation. Let's just say a few bucks from every product sale go into a corporate kitty specifically designed for paying off the workers or their families. We understand that and we deal with it. A smaller fund probably exists for the bonuses of the workers who beat production numbers. All paid for by the consumers, not the corporation. :)
Not sure why in 10 years of going out and about your daily business not a single occasional overnight visitor has crossed your path.
How long they stay is of course up to you. Was it an experience they enjoyed, or something they prayed would soon end?
We all search for new partners, or at least keep an eye out for a potential while living life, but that is no reason for celibacy or not at least dating and meeting new folks.
BTW, lose the all capitals. It is annoying to read and makes us not want to read it.
